    Hello - great looking stand! I was wanting to build a stand for my sons Aqueon 14 gallon frameless cube aquarium. Would you be able to assist with material list and measurements? All the other stand builds I see don’t really have a usable storage and I want to have that for his tank

    Just one suggestion, when cutting ply wood you should cut you pieces along the grain for max strength,

    Nice work. I built a stand for a 4' x 2' x 2' 110 gallon tank. It was 2 x 4 with a 1/2' oak skin and solid oak around the frame and panel oak and basswood doors. I also used the Titebond III with deck screws and walnut stain and poly. I put a solid 3/4 oak top on it and it is totally solid. Why buy something you don't know when you can make it yourself and be sure!

    • @jjaquariums
      @jjaquariums  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So there's gonna be 3 sides you'll need to cut back, and both sides, and then a 4th will be your door and then you'll have a top, and a bottom shelf that sits at the bottom but other than that, the only other would maybe be some vertical studs that you might put at the bottom and top for weight support, if you have more questions let me know I know it can get kinda confusing

    • @jjaquariums
      @jjaquariums  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used a very expensive plywood but any 3/4 plywood will do, but mine was a grade A 3/4 Oak plywood which is pretty much the best you can buy nice for furniture or cabinet work, and I needed only 1 4x8 sheet so for yours you'll Definitely only need 1
