Beautiful
I like you stand. Thanks for the inspiration.
Looks great. Oak is pretty sturdy but do try to give us a follow up on this project at a later time. See how its holding up.
Will do
great build. but better to use good quality plywood for building aquarium stand. Real wood is going to move and bend with all that humidity around the aquarium.
This is a great tutorial for an aquarium stand, or even a TV stand. It will look great in my office! Your craftsmanship and exceptional care to the details make this a work of art. Thank you!
Thank you, David! I enjoyed making this for you...even without biscuits! LOL
1 by for a stand for a tank that big seems like a gamble. Especially with pocket screws and no center leg. A 75gal tank plus the sump, ATO, substrate, live rock, etc. you are looking at well over 1,000lbs
Have you seen what’s available commercially? 1x oak is pretty damn strong
Thank you for the vid!
Such an ingenious project. I'm not a fish lover but can see the stand for other purposes and it sure looks sturdy. Hey, Cathy, I thought that you were the planer--what gives? This was a little more complex than your usual fare, nevertheless, a job well done I'll try to accomplish it. Thanks!
Thank you Lenny! I have to give Cathy a pass. This was done just before Christmas and she was busy delivering orders and wrapping gifts ;-)
I would love to have you quote an aquarium stand for me. 125 gallon. The doors on the side would need to be larger than this video 18" i.d. wide. One shelf in each @ 21".
Hi my name is Malcolm I was wondering if we can talk about getting a aquarium stand built?
Great video, I just found your channel.
Welcome aboard!
Very cool. You two continue to amaze me. So far I have not tried any of these projects. 😉 However I love seeing what u both create. I do have an idea for you to build.
Thank you, Sandie. Can’t wait to hear it!
very nice what timber did you use for the face frames and the plywood panels
Thank you for the comment, sorry for the delay in my response. Red Oak for everything including the "joists" that are under the top and floor.
Are plans for this beautiful aquarium stand available for purchase?
No, sorry
Do you have plans for purchase
