I rented at 2 bedroom at One Oasis, last summer, nice place. I couldn't find any to rent reasonably this summer on AirBnB, so I will be staying one month at 8 Spatial Condominium until I can find something else in Davao or maybe some other city. Not that AirBnB is cheap to rent, just it is easy to setup from the USA.
That looks like a nice, simple life. Most Americans could NEVER live there if it meant living modestly. Everyone here seems to need at least half million dollar houses to be happy. It's sad.
I am right next door to a mall. Every thing you need or want is in the malls from grocerie stores, hardware stores, restaurants, malls are the main shopping hubs here. Unless you have driven here you don't want to because it's very different you will see. There are plenty of taxis and they are very inexpensive.
The night life is great but when I was living alone I spent about 1,500 but my rent was about 500. In my opinion and it's only my opinion 900 is not enough to have much of a night life. You could find cheap rent but yoir still gonna want Aircon WiFi and TV. Philippines is no place to be broke in. It's better to be broke in the USA alot more resources

Oh sorry you should do fine on that amount and will be able to live in a gated Community. There are plenty of Taxis so transportation os not a issue. It gets crowded at times but every big city does.
Davao is not the city for a single guy looking for nightlife. I'm not saying it can't be found, but you can't even smoke in Davao so they are a bit strict in the city. A single guy looking to find a long term relationship then yes Davao is great, chasing the Ho's then no it is not.

Is One Oasis close to malls, restaurants? Will be moving there in September. How do you get around? Do you own a car or motorcycle?
