    I can tell you from my own experience I live the same lifestyle here in the Philippines on Samal Island that I do in Clearwater Florida.
    The difference is the cost of food is higher in the United States.
    But my electricity bill is actually higher here on Samal Island in Garden City.
    We live an upper middle class lifestyle here and there having both homes paid for we never have to pay rent.
    I have to say we travel as much here as I do in the states as well the difference is driving our car in the states vs our scooters here on the island.
    I do miss a good steak when living in the Philippines but other then that I can get everything else i like to eat at a much cheaper price.
    We spend $2,100.00 dollars to live in the Philippines every Month and no more then $2,300.00 a month in the states and we are a family of four.
    Good video Randy.

      I agree with you, for the last 2 years I've lived in the Philippines and now I'm ready to go back and spend 6 months in the states visiting family and friends working a few months as a Nurse to keep my skill and license up dated.
      After my trip back my wife and our two younger children are taking a month long trip to Japan to visit family and friends and then the following summer break we are going to live over 2 months in Germany, France and Spain.

    Homesick until you return and then you may quickly change your mind. I don't know where the best place to be is to go through what's coming. You do realize they are building a 40 sq mile city in TX for immigrants. The nicest homes in the city are run by the cartel. There is an entire infrastructure running from South American to the US. If you make it to SA you can be in the US within 2 weeks. No it's not bad everywhere but the banking, stock market, debt collapse is just beginning to come out from quiet of the eye of the hurricane.

    I came back from 7 months in the Philippines in March. From Minnesota moved to the free state of Florida when I retired. I can't wait to get back to the Philippines I missed it one week after getting back to the USA. I plan on being there more than the USA only coming back for business or medical needs. Sad state of affairs in the USA the Democrats want to put their opponents in jail and have caused so much inflation some find it hard to make ends meet you have to be smart with your finances. Life is much better in the Philippines if you are retired.

    For mostly the same reason.
    We have our home here on Samal Island in Garden City living next to Dad and Mom, and our home in the United states.
    Che and i talk about an invison living 6 months of fall and winter in the Philippines.
    Then 6 months of spring and summer in the states.

    Hey Randy, I'm sad to see you go. I was hoping you would be showing more videos on One Oasis so I can reminisce. But, like many of us expats, we have big goals and dreams, but for one reason or another, it has to be put off for another time, myself included. I plan on returning there one day, but maybe much later in the future. For now, my goal is visit Baguio and Tagaytay in early 2024 (I have my tickets already), where it's more conducive for bigger guys like me. I have difficulties with heat and humidity, but not cold and humidity. But, when you do return to the Philippines, please consider restarting your channel again. Or heck, why don't you just continue your channel in the good 'ol US of A. Take care and god speed.

    Well done sir. This great country has been attacked by political disfunction and so many eat it up. Tough to accept and so many of us will fight to make the changes necessary to get back to reaching the stars. How can anyone with a brain think that Democrats are doing what is best for this country. To visit the Philippines once a year seems to be a great choice for you. Having children, grandchildren, and good friends that talk your talk is golden. There are situations to meet American women and those more in your age group but stepping out of your comfort zone will need to happen. Welcome home.

      I was a Republican, up until 2016 when the GOP decided to back an obvious crimimal with no moral convictions and total loyalty to the dollar and only the dollar. How can anyone with a brain think that Republicans are doing what's best?! Today's Republicans are aiding and abetting the destruction of the constitution. WHAT I DONT GET IS WHY ARE REPUBLICANS LEAVING THE US WHEN THEY HAVE CAUSED THIS TO HAPPEN.

      When kids have a basketball game, they divide into opponent teams, NOT ENEMIES. They need and respect each other - otherwise, no game.
      Over the past forty years, but especially the last eight, thinking like yours has RUINED the US. You honestly believe in "the enemy within."
      So sad.

      The one thing that has made America the cesspit that it is today is the same thing that has happened in all countries, it is the people. If you are a person that knows nothing about politics but you vote for the person with the best lies it is up to you to keep reminding them that you put them where they are and you can remove them if you so wish. However the world now has made people insular and the common attitude is IDGAF so with that in mind it is not a democrat or any other crat it is the will of the people.

    The Philippines is not a free country. They are not "hostile" toward foreigners, but they certainly are unfavorable toward foreigners. Conversely tens of thousands of filipinas enjoy all the rights of citizenship here in the US. In the eye of Philippine law you will always be considered a "foreigner". The people are great.....but the law sees foreigners in a different way. Good luck.

    • @kokalti
      @kokalti ปีที่แล้ว

      Imagine if they charged a foreign person more in the US just because they are foreign. All hell would break loss. But they have no problem doing so in many other countries including Mexico. But then again, a ton of these ugly, obese, old dudes go to the PL to date teens, so I guess that's fare. They are nothing but an atm machine to them anyways.

      America isn't a free country either. It doesn't even like its own citizens. Let that sink in.

    • @rayleo529
      @rayleo529 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @M-zg2sg I respectfully disagree, but at the same time agree in part. It's not that America doesn't like it's own citizens, it's, imo, that certain elements of our government hate anyone who would oppose their DEI policies. Inclusion for all but those who disagree. Which, on its face, negates the very claim of inclusivity. But here in America you can come, as have tens of thousands of Filipinas, and become a citizen enjoying all lawful rights of naturalized citizens. The biggest of which is they can lawfully purchase property. That, to me, is true freedom. What I do agree with, in part, is that America is losing its freedoms and they will dissappear if we allow the Marxists among us to have their way.
