The super GMs he beats are probably stronger than 99.9999% of players or so. Unfortunately the table I was looking at only tracks 2 decimal places, so take that with a grain of salt.

    Hirohito is a true ambassador of the game, Magnus couldn't amaze and contribute to making the game popular like Hikaro has, if he tried.
    Ultimately chess players will be ranked by instinct and that means never before seen positions and very fast games.
    As such Hikaro, is both the greatest ambassador and player of chess, of all time.
    So i think its overdue that younshow a game where Hikaro has Magnus for breakfast.
    Even that cheap prepared trick with the knight fork Hikaro managed to overcome.

      To do what? That would be an instant loss if he traded rooks. Even if he doesn't trade rooks then he would still lose like how we saw in the video.

    • @archiebellega956
      @archiebellega956 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Rh7+ Kg6 And then what? Magnus can play something like Re5/Rd5 threatening mate (something like Rh7+ kg6 c6 Re5 threatening Re8#, if you move your rook h5 pawn will fall) so regardless of the move Hikaru can't actually defend the h pawn.
      Some other variation : rh7+ kg6 rg7+ kxh5
      rh7+ kg6 c6 re5 kf8?? kxh7 so yeah, there's no way Hikaru could defend it

    That Be5 move is the most engine-like move I've seen in a while, just smother and tie up everything black has. Engines loves to strangle their opponents, and it has been said that playing Carlsen in an end-game, feels like you're drowning😁 excellent game

    @13:41 Agad's calculation doesn't seem good. Hikaru can reach c2 safely with his pawn. The next move is c1 promoting to Queen and after Magnus takes the Queen, Hikaru's King can gobble both Magnus' pawns. Draw.

    • @yanair2091
