I love how in all these videos not only does he nail Damien and Courtney pretty much immediately, he literally never even brings up their name for any set but their own. He just easily knows their tastes on all things.
I watch Smosh videos with my teenage daughter, so I'm probably not your target demographic, but I really appreciate this video! Y'all are role models for a lot of young people (oh, I can feel years being added to my age as I type this) and it's fantastic that you are intentionally (?) encouraging your viewers to read more. Idk why but this series is so sweet to me. Like it just shows how much Shayne pays attentions and listens to his coworkers and friends. He takes who they are to heart and then is able to use that knowledge of them for this.
He probably is most senior member of Smosh after Ian. I think he is also one of the few cast that is not contract working.

I just need a series where there’s a little Smosh book club lead by Shane where part of the cast and crew (and fans if they want) read a book every month and then there’s a video where they talk about it. Fans could vote on the books every month.

First off: Shayne saying he loves Madeline Miller books made me appreciate him even more, oh my.
I only have gotten into reading like 4 years ago, but my favorite books (so far) are Jane Eyre, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and If We Were Villains. Honorable mentions: The ACOTAR series, Stoner by J. Williams and Zoo Station: The Story of Christiane F.
If you haven't, read Neon God's/aomlumpus series by Katee Roberts. I recommend this series to all my ACOTARs peeps

Love that Shane pointed out how derivative Eragon is. For writing that well as a homeschooler teen it’s is a good series. You can tell what Paolini was reading and watching at the time of writing, ie, Tolkien, David Eddings, Star Wars., etc.
Shayne using his Psychology major for one thing and one thing only. Analyzing his co-workers/friends.
A interesting guessing idea would be to guess everyone's deathrow meal.
My favourite thing about this series, aside from it being awesome, is that I'm now starting to be able to guess cast and crew solely based on everything that's been shared by Shayne and the team, and the picture we're getting and that's being built, so it's becoming so much fun to play along and guess as well, and get a decent amount right. Like, this series is such a good way of fleshing out everyone at Smosh!

I'd be interested to see Shane do one of these videos with people he's just met. Like, he gets 10-15 minutes to interview them on anything but their taste in books and then has to match them up with a top three on limited info and vibes.

Kudos to Shayne that was the trickiest one to overcome. I haven’t of nearly half of these books, I’ve been out of the literature world for a while. Again congrats to Shayne, plus it was really great to hear Spencer crystal clearly in one of these for once.

This series is the only series I watch on the Smosh games channel. I love pit and Smosh Mouth but Shayne Guesses is my number 1 series that I will always watch

I think my favorite thing about out this series is how much Shayne knows the people he works with. It’s an incredible quality.

This was really a wonderful way to find out about new books. I've been in such a rut reading the same 6 series for the last year and a half, unable to find new things to catch my interest. I now have 5 new series to check out and I'm thrilled. I also remembered that i absolutely loved six of crows, so I'll read that again once I've gotten out of this rut. This is my favourite Smosh series. I feel like Shayne would be such a good friend and fully listen even if you were telling him the most boring things or telling him something you already told him previously
I enjoyed this watch; it's fun and endearing to see the bond between the people on the team and Spencer is such a great video partner for these "Shayne guesses" videos!

Shayne is so impressive in all of these. Not only is he observant of his coworkers and friends, but he genuinely seems to know about them. Even when he is wrong, he almost always narrows it down to two and one is always right.

Honestly, I think he deserves a half point anytime he gets it down to two people and the right one is one of them, even if he gets it wrong
I thought about this, and I think I would go:
- Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban based purely on having read it the most times of any book I’ve ever read (5,5 times)
- Pride and Prejudice
- Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe
Loved seeing "We Had a Little Real Estate Problem" in the episode. Great book. Even though it's not tribe specific (or in some ways perhaps BECAUSE it's not) really helped me feel more connected to my indigenous heritage; something that was denied to me as a kid because of my mixed ethnicity (Cuban & two indigenous tribes) and growing up raised by assimilated natives due to blood quantum. I feel like my great grandfather, who was the only connection I really had to my indigenous ancestry, would have really loved it despite it being about cultural connection through comedy and him practically being the template for the "stoic, humorless indian" trope/stereotype.
Okay but Shayne doing an impersonation of Erin, while they deadass have on the exact same outfit, made my brain feel like 🫨

One moment talking about Heinlein contemporaries and the next learning about "romantasy" for the first time might be the most Spencer-y that Spencer has ever Spencered.
It's so crazy that shayne comes sooo close to guessing some of these people and then overthinks it. He is just so observant it blows my mind.
I would like to thank Shayne and Smosh because for the past few months, I have been playing this game at work for our weekly team-builders, and it has been an absolute blast.
What's also insane about this series is how Shayne gets A LOT of 50-50 L's (gets it wrong but his other bet is the correct one), which is still pretty insane
