When I was younger many of my inner talks and fantasies were influenced by movies, TV shows and songs. A lot of that stuff is dramatic and negative but you dont realize it until you get so far away from it that the programming becomes clear.

I learned about history, science, human rights, and how to protect the environment by watching television. Maybe if you spent less time watching The Kardashians and more time watching educational shows you would realize this.
So u choose what you see based on what u feel. We are happy to jave not watched the news for over 10 years. Only funny fun interesting adventurous stuff is watched on our tv.

Self talk is not necessarily resolving cause. Most do not yet recognise this difference, that we are by virtue of how we think, not what we may think and say we are.
Mind ( Consciousness ) speech ( concept of self ). Our concept of self which is the name that we are aware of being is a state of consciousness. In this state we express all that we are aware of being as that person. To transcend our limitations and express that which we do not, as brother said until we change our inner impressions of ourselves nothing will change in our world and all a state is is just a mood or a feeling so until we change how we feel about ourselves our world will not change and the earth is waiting for us.
