New to Neville Goddard, only started listening to him a month ago. Listening to his accent, I heard a Caribbean lilt to it. I had no idea he was from Barbados. Obviously it's his teachings that are of FAR more importance than his country of origin - yet I can't help wondering why he's not better known among Caribbean people.
Trini here, some of us know who he is, but I definitely understand what you mean. He definitely should've been bigger in the Caribbean. I'm guessing because he migrated to the US and taught there, that could be why. Also have to take in consideration that this was in the 50/60s, and technology wasn't like it is now. 😅 Wondering if on my next trip to Barbados, if I were to ask a Bajan if they know about him, if they would be able to say yes. 🤔 I LOVE NEVILLE'S TEACHING and consciously try to apply the law daily. It's a challenge at times, no lie. Sometimes it's easy to go back to sleep on your power.

@@talee4159 I think the Ethiopian introduced Neville to the New Thought movement. Since the Ethiopian was a Jewish Rabbi, he would definitely not have believed in the New Testament and Jesus. Neville came up with the New testament interpretations. There are Americans before Neville who had similar teachings, just that he is the most charismatic. Also, a lot of the teachings like "we are all Gods" ties in with eastern Philosophies like Hinduism, Daoism and Buddhism. Philosophers like Thoreau, Emerson, Schopenhauer who also inspired Law of Attraction teachers in the US were all inspired by Hindu Vedic teachings.
He left and made his life in another country....
Because our beliefs were ingrained in us as children and we never dared to think otherwise.

I am been this way all my life, I'm humble, a peace keeper, been through major Traumatic experiences in life that yeah lessons, tried to uplift everyone I met & meet, but have suffered deeply Nevada's in so different and see the world in a way that not many understand, which has been hard at times with friends who I've loved and tried to help them with their issues, but condemned because they couldn't see outside of their education and their own experiences.
