🧮🤔There´s a drought going on for ~60? years. In former times the soil was a "sponge" full of roots, worms, 🦠microorganisms containing water. 🏞🪁🌋🪵♨⛏Now it burns faster and larger areas bc that living water is missing too. When the deep roots don´t reach groundwater, that water goes deeper. ⛱🌀

Not necessarily true. I've worked with guys Wildland firefighting that had a bit of chub yet had incredible endurance.
I worked with this crew on a sling load mission I was in the private engine crew in New Mexico earlier this year.
My husband was a Hotshot for 4 seasons and loved every day on the job.

This is very true. Drought, insect + disease, wildfire risk --they're all related.
