I think when the 2013 Granite Mountain Hotshots passed away they were making $15 per hour and denied most of the families survivor benefits because they were labeled ‘part time’ but worked over 40 hours a week !!!!

I want to join a hotshot crew after I get out of the Marines, I am 19 now, and enlisted this year. But, the thing is, I don't know where to go to join a hotshot crew, I don't know which crew would help me the most to become a smokejumper. It is one of my dreams to become a smokejumper just like my grandpa who was one for 21 years.
