@4:21 Abbas clearly blocked Subramaniam's path. She had no intention to let Subramaniam pass. The ref got to call it before everyone thinks it's OK to do this.

I can easily come up with 10 possible reasons why she didn't ask and the only way to know the actual reason is by asking her.
Also the ref can make a call without being asked or requested from a player. It's a commonly mistaken idea but it's in the rule.
I suggest you read the rule thoroughly.

@@yahoocomygnekinc7195 If its truly egregious then the ref can step in without the player asking but this obviously isnt that. In my opinion even if she did ask she wouldn't have been given a stroke here. The ball dies and she's two large steps away from it, hence why she didnt ask. Also you can clearly see the path to the ball is behind her to the left not the longer path around the front of her to the right.

Sub should learn when to volley esp when loose shots and opponents hasn’t recovered. But she always let the ball bounce off back wall by then opponent back at T
