    I'm so emotional watching this video because this was how this street looks like during my school days. Hope the mayor and government will stand firm to make sure no more street trading. Everywhere you go there are encroachments which makes the whole country look so filthy.

    Thanks for showing Kissy road/abacha street Tripple A. The clearing of the tables I hope represents a newer chapter of that environment and most areas in Freetown our CITY . I fervently hope the view now has giving the Mayor of Freetown, the Ministers of Health , Trade and the whole bunch of all the politicians a sense of patriotism to work 2gether for the benefit of Ma Salone and not individual benefits and keep the area and other areas hygienic and cleaner and subsequently pave all the streets in Freetown especially gutters so the waters can flow freely and make it look like a city and not a slum anymore.

    Thank you triple A. This is not in one day, the city has a big job to clean the gutters and trash piles in the streets. This will give them time to fix the roads
    The secondary roads are going to be blocked since all of them will be moving their stalls there..The city should have market sites for every thing, say if I want vegetables and fruits, I will go where they sell only those and so on. It's a long way. We can do it.

      Completely agree with you. The store owners are to be blamed for this utterly unnecessary clutter. The business women make pennies in profit selling for the store owners. I believe they should be held responsible for any stalls built in front of their properties. It sad that we have so many impassable streets due to street trading. Lord forbid if you accidentally step 🚶‍♀️ on someone's ware spread on the street 😳

    So much dirt, I’m so happy that the streets been cleared from them petit traders. If only the roads can be retouched because as we can see it’s spacious enough. I’m reminded of in the early 90’s of Freetown. This is a great move from the government. A big thumbs up really.

    This is absolutely wonderful for the free movement of vehicles and pedestrian across the city. Some time ago I mentioned that, is difficult for any government to stop street trading. I condemned the insurrection of some groups of persons and organisations. However street trading making the city very ugly, disgusting dirty you name it . FCC should provide marketing building for petty trading activities and not along the streets of the capital city

  • @Betruebekind
    @Betruebekind หลายเดือนก่อน

    When the streets are cleaned up, the dirt and debris are thrown into the gutters......this causes blockages in the gutters/ drainage for miles....it rains and that causes the streets and low land dwellings to flood. When will things get better? This is negligence. The government /city council has a duty to the citizens, to keep them SAFE and HEALTHY.

    You made my day, Triple A! This video is wonderful and when walking through the streets I can catch many details. I can`t understand why street traders should bother anyone. They give the special atmosphere to the city and contribute much to public supply. Trading activities never should be hindered and if they pay taxes to authorities these will have funds for public street cleaning. 🙂

    Whosoever is responsible for dismantling these tables/stalls is an environmental neat freak 😜. The question is will the these places be cleaned and the roads maintenanced.
    Will these businesses be allowed to ever returned. Honestly Abarch Street and it environs is an eye sore nationally and internationally and as well as a disgrace to the so called APC and SLPP political parties. They are responsible for this. I rest my case

WE NEED CHANGE not tomorrow but NOW, this can not go on for another 60 years
