    What an amazing, colorful market place. I could spend there a complete day, just watching the busy activities of merchants and customers. Such vivid sites are so important, as they preserve so much of traditional culture and identity, that otherwise gets lost. By the way, my friends gave me a new nickname. Now they call me "The Selonean", because I keep telling them what I learnt from your videos. I seems, some of them got curious to get to know more about SL. 🙂

    Binging on these like! 😀
    Suggestion: we'd like to see a transition into real estate development and community developments that are happening, upcoming areas, to even interviewing successful business owners, diasporans and homebase that are not using the lazy rhetorics to not do anything, etc. Thanks 😊

    Hello Triple A, I have to first of all applauded you for doing a marvelous job. I was born and I grew up in the Eastern part of Freetown in the early 50s. Precisely opposite Cottage hospital. I left Sierra in 1993. I first traveled to London where I resided for four years and won the (Diversity Visa) DV 1997. I returned to Sierr Leone 🇸🇱 four years later to process the 1997 DV. As soon as my family and undergone the first interview, RUF rebels entered Freetown. We miraculously escaped to Guinea Conakry. We stayed in Guinea for four years before being instructed by the US Ambassador to travel to Accra to process the DV process. We failed to get the visa. We returned to Guinea Conakry by road. In 2005 our chance came about and we migrated to the US. I have not visited Sierra Leone since then due to the trauma my family had I went through.
    Explore With Triple-A program brought about reminiscences to me. I love this program so much. It's like I visited Sierra Leone from the dead. Just imagine at times watching the program seems like I am watching a foreign African country.
    I want to get a feedback from you to proceed further please.
    My phone # in US is 571 723 9607.
    Thanks. I hope to hear from you

    Thank you very much Triple A. I grew up on Martin Street and saw many new houses have been built there since I left. All those traders need to be moved to a proper market away from theses residences. Some of these streets are impossible to walk through, and look like death traps. Scary to even think what could happen if there were a fire. ALLAH help us all.

    Growing up back in the days of Akibo Bets, on Sunday’s you can’t see things like these. If you don’t buy food stuffs on Saturday there is no way you can cook. The market area never look so filthy nasty and dirty. If the market grounds are looking like this on a Sunday, what should we expect on regular weekdays??

    Good work T A I'm watching from Holland honestly I grew up at Bombay from early 1970 s to the 80 "s from that time till now I don't see no development infact it is even more worst than before.
    Littered Street, lots idol youths, traders everywhere big mess.
    My brother I don't miss the Bombay Street However thanks for the documentary 👍

    Brilliant idea taking us to memory lane. This is where I was born and spent my childhood. But honestly, for me that's not development. It's completely horrible. The ratio of sellers to buyers is 5:1
    Thank you very much sir for the video.

    Thanks for the video. Our country needs real reform. So many sellers everywhere and very less buyers. There is no infrastructure and no laws. But when you get right down into it, we the people are the problem. All we do is dance for the two foolish parties that are running our country to the ground.

    • @martynakay
      @martynakay 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Florence, they have left the provinces and moved to FT and refuse to keep the place clean. Where are the market inspectors? You would find this nonsense in the UK. Traders selling food stuff beside an open gutter........Oh hell 👎 no
