To be fair, this is type-moon big chance to break the bubble and enter global and become mainstream. Fate strange fake is a great series that every audience can swallow especially teen to adult, the concept is there and its focus on epic fight and aura unlike OG FSN that focus on message and thematic. As you can see from the announcement, we get UBW stream on cable tv and bunch of sponsor etc. if it do well enough, we might see more fate content in the future. It both blessing and curse but life is too short to think about such thing, I will enjoy it before it become another star wars tragedy

If you have been waiting this long for strange fake and "can't stand the English dub", then just wait another month. Also diminishing the work the English VA's put in is just disgusting. They also sound amazing in their roles.

20 years and all they did was VA talk like always, a bunch of banners and a GSSR (more ways to give them money), and a "QoL" only useful partly in CQs (you can't revive) and almost useless nowadays in main stories since Laylines exists. What a joke
Great route with many amazing moments that was the basis for Stay night. After the death of Medea's VA we have no hope of ever seeing it animated. We were hoping that maybe it was in production before but now it's over and we have to content with a poorly adaptation from 2006 that combines all routes kinda.
Strange Fake is 10/10 as a reader, but who is gonna watch the dub? The legendary voice actor for gilgamesh, Tomokazu Seki, is irreplaceable. I'm actually mad I need to wait a month for the original and way better version. English dub is a waste of money, even if this happens to take place in the USA. There's no reason to have english voice actors for anime.
They are trying to go global with this one. And HSR x UBW is coming next year Q3 so better prepare the groundwork and harvest the result with a bang instead of doing everything in a rush trying to catch the hype.
@reiiz9942 I have no idea how english voice actors for the anime will help market a collab even if the collab with have english dub. Also, the trailer for the collab was only in japanese and not because of the A.I voice actors strike. We all know japanese dub is way popular and almost always better.
@Vi.Vi.4527 While its true Japanese dub is much much more superior and that is not even a debate, english dub do give more exposure to the west whether we like it or not because a lot of people who watch from streaming service actually watch it in a dub and based on netflix...its around 80%. With that much percentage, its gonna give a huge marketing to the series and new people will flock in, including the normies and tourist. Im scared when they discover jack and raikou design lmao. More people will be interested in fate meaning more people crave for the content and the closest one they can get in the form of a game if HSR x UBW although its from different series and not F/SF but its within same universe. One way or another, its a marketing. FGO is hard to get in especially the horrifying bad ahhh writing singularity 1-5 and the "outdated" gameplay is a huge turn off to most people apparently lmao so the closer one are HSR collab. People in the west don't care about superior dub, what is the point watching an anime if they have to read subs? What is the point watching in a foreign language when their language is better?(I see someone said this once lmao) And so much more. I treat them as newbie, normies and tourist but even so, they are potential fans. Good or bad that is just how it is when shit goes global. I dont like it but its undeniable that dub do boost a series a lot.
