- Hey hey everybody! In this video you get to enjoy all the sounds of a 5 cylinder VW screaming on the dyno. Huge thank you to TGK Automotive in Chandler Arizona for hosting their annual open house and providing dyno pulls all day. I cant get over how good this car sounds from the outside while screaming under load. I never get to hear it from outside the cabin!
The Integrated Engineering Stage 2 setup threw down 164whp and 164wtq on a Mustang Dyno that reads about 10% low and not in ideal max number conditions. Ill take it!

I love hearing this engine rev out under load from outside the car!
Dynojet or anything else would run 30whp on top of that easily. I know from experience using a mustang dyno then a dynojet almost right after. Very similar conditions and no change in parts. I was just curious. That was the variation I saw
@@BlackMk2Jetta for sure. Mustangs read on average 10% low.
Jesus, those engines really need a turbo! I like them but not even 190? Disappointing to me at least.. (they sound amazing) I have a 2.0T S3 that I'm eager to start messing with but is my only car I wanted to buy one of these as I heard good things and I just want a commuter that gets me work and back home 2-3 times a week. Found a Sport wagon recently for $3500 I thought was a good deal! Comes with BBS knock off wheels that look very ok on it.
If you want higher power levels than, yes, turbo is the way to go. They respond well to turbo setups. These don’t read high NA but the torque curve is amazing. It pulls harder than it should at these readings.
Even without the tune im pulling 160, is there damage to your car?
@@cief8204 no. Heat soaked and a Mustang dyno…
guess I'm confused with the dyno numbers, what was the total hp and tq you got from these mods ?I'm ie stage 1 now
It read max wheel horsepower at 164 with matching torque. Keep in mind that this is a Mustang dyno and you can add 10% to that giving 180whp. Mustangs read low. There are also a lot of variables that go into a dyno run and getting the highest max readout. This was just a quick run at a car show.
I assume this is running 91oct. Since youre in Arizona? Maybe that is why people are expecting different numbers
It is on 91. The tune is for 91/93. I doubt 91 is enough to pull any timing. This was a quick pull during a dyno day, so it’s hardly a run to get the max numbers out of it.
I would love to see what mine does with down pipe, cutback exhaust, i.e. Sri manifold and short ram intake with United motorsports stage 2 Sri tune..
Is that straight piped or what exhaust? Kinda sounds the way the one on my mk6 sounded. It was a Becker exhaust for the 2.0t. Got a mk5 now with a milltek 2.75 inch for the 2.0t.
Love the look of the car... mi e is black with red rims, love the red with gold...
Thank you. It’s the factory CAT and then all mufflers and the resonator have been cut out. So basically straight piped. I would love to know the numbers on your setup. I have heard the UM tune is a little more power. Obviously there are a lot of variables that come into play when doing dyno runs.
@VoyageRC yeah most definitely. I'll have to find out from the shop I go to for most of the work about scheduling a session some time when it's there..
Eventually doing the 6 speed swap and then building a motor to turbo it. But that won't be for awhile yet.. got all the engine parts except the timing stuff and aftermarket cams, not sure if I need them but would like a step or 2 above stock. Shits expensive and don't get paid a ton to be spending all on my car even though I do most of the time.
@VoyageRC I thought it sounded straight piped. There's a few kids around here that have them straight piped and deleted the cats, is a little too loud for my liking like that. But yours sounds like the Becker exhaust I had so sounds pretty good for the set up.
Do you have the i.e. Sri manifold??
@@snoopdaclown I have the full IE stage 2 setup.
Yo boss man did you flash stage 2 b UM with ie equipment? I’ve been contemplating it but I’m auto and UM doesn’t have an auto tcu tune from what I can see.
Is that a custom emblem on the back!
Sure is! Designed and printed it myself. 👌🏻
@@VoyageRC ah man that is so cool. Would I be able to PayPal you money to order a cheap vw golf hatch emblem assembly or send you my Gti spare. Plus money to fabricate a printed emblem I could glue onto it 🤣 I think they’re supposed to clip on but idk how easy it is to print clips or how structural they are. But basically I’m wanting like the round emblem with the Texas state shape in the middle of it and a ring around the edges kind like the stock vw ring just with out the vw logo reaching to it haha
@@VoyageRC bruh there could be some money in that depending on how much materials cost. Having people get golf badges printed.
@@EastDallasKicks check my Etsy store 👌🏻
How much u paid for the whole kit?
There is a link to the kit in the video’s description.
youre definitely losing power because of the straight pipe. Engines rely on a good bit of back pressure from the exhaust to run correctly, the 2.5 is supposed to be making 184 hp from the factory so to be making 20 hp less than stock with a full stage 2 kit..... something aint right.
Nothing you said is right
