to say Thanx is an understatement..words can not express what JB and his music means to me and every fan over the years...and let's not forget the amazing back up musicians thru the years that supported him musically!!
Not only a top notch musician, but also one of my favorite poets.
When I heard, "..always keepin' it real by playing the clown..." I thought he was talking to me specifically. All these decades later, I've learned I'm a heyoka empath (along with a few other types). Now it makes sense.
"I'm Alive" is the best breakup album, ever.
I've been listening to this great singer songwriter and musician for the past 50 years a true legend, love and peace mr Jackson ❤️
Browne... Genius... Forty years singing from his soul... Rosie simply one of the best songs ever made. God bless him and thanks for all his songs and for his concert in Aviles. Spain.
I love I’m Alive. This whole album helped me at one of the lowest times in my life. Thanks to Jackson Browne for his inspiring lyrics and music. Thanks for posting too!
Been rediscovering Jackson lately. Love how he uses simple chord changes, with great melodies and poetic lyrics. As a keyboard player, I really appreciate his playing. Hes no Elton John but doesn't need to be. He's so great at using dynamics to give life to his songs. And in his seventies, he still has his voice. No arguing that he's a singer/songwriter legend.
Listened to Jackson in the 70s. When all we had was vinyl. His music has accompanied on so many of my western road trips to the Rockies since then. I can hear I'm Alive now on U.S. 64 in New Mexico.
"Runnin down around the towns along the shore, I was sixteen and on my own.
I couldn't tell you what the hell those brakes were for, I eas just tryin to hear my song"
Nobody is ever going to match JB' lyrical ability. No. Not even Henley and Frey.
What a great concert! I have always been a great fan of Jackson and his music has helped me through so many hard times. Thank you so much Jackson, I will always love you.
Especially love Jackson's performances with this band. Everything worked so well. I've been very blessed to have seen him play so many, many times since 1970s and obviously brilliant every time, but this line up just seemed to have a great spirit, extra layer of laidback energy. Even Jackson's delivery has a great edge (even defiance in I'm Alive).
Nobody else like JB.
A privilege to have been on earth same time as him.
I first saw him on the For Everyman tour. Bonnie Raitt was his opening act. I've seen him a dozen times.....I wanted to be his groupie...or wife. Lol...........Either one.
“The Pretender” is one of my all-time favorite albums. “I’m Alive” brought him back to more personalized material and a welcomed return. I saw him in concert in April of 1978...one of the best events I ever attended. A great songwriter and musician.
I also saw him in 78. Rosie was with them at the time. It was unforgettable, even 50 years later. I love The Pretender too. I love all of his music.
❤
I agree with the first person who commented. I feel exactly the same way. I think he is so sexy. His songs are sexy and relevant. And you could listen to them over and over again
@@Dianne-wn2rp I've always thought he was so sexy too. His great talent just was icing on the cake. I first saw him in early 1974. He opened with Redknek Friend. Bonnie Raitt was his opening act.
I love you, Jackson Browne. It breaks my heart to watch you age! I have aged with you! You are my fantasy husband! You should live for eternity!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, I love his songs but you Like Like him. I've been listening to Jackson since the late 1970's but only recently took notice of his talent. I'm glad I rediscovered his songs and talent, I can't stop listening to his songs.
......get in line, sister!!!!!
@@brucemitchell4478Like Miss Y-vonne for Captain Carl.
@@LeVerneBobadilla Get behind me...He was my pretend lover since 1974.
Hearing this again… I’m alive ❤️🔥
How did you know I'd been on a Jackson Browne kick the past week? True Story! ❤
I love you Jackson Browne so many years so many memories
gorgeous blond VALERIE CARTER is the girl he wrote the song "THAT GIRL COULD SING" for.....She's also the subject of Steve Winwood's "VALERIE"!!! How incredible 2 BRILLIANT artists wrote songs to her!!!!! MUST HAVE BEEN A REAL CATCH...She died in 2017
Valerie Carter also had two albums of her own and sang with Lowell George of Little Feat, on Long Distance Love. One of my very favorite artists, awesome voice, so talented.
Great vid capture of a Beautiful Humane Man (no typo) ❤
He sings I'm Alive with a lot of emotion
Rock N Roll my x would get mad cause I would say My lover!!!!!
I saw Jackson Brown at the Omni in the late 70s. One of the best coverts I’d ever seen!
We all love, Jackson Browne❤ 0:27
I love this… love all his songs… ❤❤❤
love you sir... my idol till now🎸🩷
Jackson is great. Wishing for Doctor, my Eyes.
Just fantastic!!
Thank you for sharing! Jackson Browne is always awesome, through and through!
Way to go sound man! One of the harmony mikes was too hot on the 1st set of "waiting for you's" and you had it leveled out by the time they came around again.
The sound man can make you or break you. The bigger the venue the more talented he needs to be. L
Is that Valerie Carter on backing vocals?
Ah, to be that young again, but I’m alive!
Jeff Young on keyboards died last yearRIP!!
He has been with Jackson for years and he is also on that amazing performance “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” the one where Prince shreds at the finally.
Prince? That was a George Harrison song.
RIP Jeff Young 🌹 🕊️ 🎹
Love ❤️ JB
51 years of JB ❤❤
a favorite since running on empty
My favorite since For Everyman and Late For the Sky.
Besides the late great David Lindsey, Mark Goldenberg who appears in this video, was the most talented lead guitar who ever worked with JB.
WOW that’s Benmont Tench from TPATH ❤️❤️
Actually, his name is Scott Thurston. He is an incredible musician and a great singer. Scott is an asset to any band. Jackson Browne and Tom Petty, my all time favorites.
HE INSPIRES MY SONG WRITING
Love it! Thank you for sharing!🎶♥️🎶
Rosie...most men can relate. Funny song.

This is a GREAT sounding room for sure! Jackson sounds at his peak here. I saw the "I'm Alive Tour" at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion, Woodlands Texas, in 1994. Best concert I have ever been to, besides Boston "Third Stage Tour" 1987. Boston blew everyone away that year! Would have loved to have seen the "Running On Empty" Tour, in August 1977 Red Rocks, Colorado. but was too young, then. Wish they would release a professional video of that Concert in it's entirety. He threw his hat out into the audience in the end. His band played for about 2-hours straight. One day someone please release that show, Please.... Lynn Sweeney he was dating at the time, you can see walking together with Jackson holding his son Ethan, going back to the Semi's.
I saw Jackson and his band in 78, the ROE tour. It was everything you knew it would be. They also played for at least 2 hours. Rosie was in the band then. They were all fantastic and i had a great seat, about 20 ft from the stage, 2nd row next to the aisle.
Saw the “I’m Alive” tour at the Warfield in SF. Nice small setup with actual tables to set our drinks on
Young woman working at Korbs in Ojai and your frequent visits to the valley to see your nephew.. Watched you strum some in Libby Park
"Runnin down around the towns along the shore, I was sixteen and on my own.
I couldn't tell you what the hell those brakes were for, I was just tryin to hear my song"
Nobody is ever going to match JB's lyrical ability. No. Not even Henley and Frey who owe their breakout onto the scene to Browne's lyrical genius on Take It Easy. Frey said himself that he learned how to write songs by listening to how Jackson composed HIS songs through the walls of adjoining abodes.
I’ve never seen this video before! Thanks for posting. I love seeing these professional videos, but I wonder if Jackson was annoyed by the camera man who got up so close in his space when he was at the piano!
He probably didn't, since he has had camera's all around him for years..
That camera was close! I saw him briefly look to see what's happening, but he went on like it was nothing. Love the lyrics to 'I'm Alive"-- been there, and "My Problem Is You", been there, too! As for "Rosie" well-- good song, I haven't been there.
Lena Horne is from Macon Georgia 😊❤
Wonderful clip! Can anyone explain the Lamb Chop dedication?
Rose - hand puttet
That's puppet
It was a guy who mixed the sound on stage. True story. Lamp Chop used to be a puppet on television. So, he simply used the hand puppet (Lamp Chop) because the guy wouldn't want his name out there. Rosie Palm of my hand...masturbating.

So sexy...So talented.
Yeah goodbye Robin it’s time to let you go
Rock N Roll my x would get mad cause I would say My lover!!!!!
