The fact that David became a security officer at her school and was so obsessed with finding what happened to Chloe's Friday for her is actually super sweet.
Some thoughts on the game after watching this. I agree that RA's character is pretty unrealistic. I get why she is that way - she's meant to represent those real-life victims who everyone loved/adored/knew/wanted to be like/was inspiring and was suddenly murdered. But she is on another level. I was relived to see the flaws come through finally. Her suddenly switching character, being manipulative, being cold-shouldered, being passive-aggressive, and not to mention being a completely selfish and ignorant idiot. I also think the music that was swelling up during the scene with the tree and the fire wasn't meant for you to feel sorry for her but rather, feel sorry for Chloe lol. She just found someone she actually connected with heart to heart ever since Max left her life....and it just so happens to be a narcisstic, neurotic and unpredictable/whirlwind of a person. Also RA is literally the girlfriend who goes 'and I took that personally' and smashes your PS5 because she got angry at you for making a stupid mistake. also 10/10 one liner "damn you really are from California" gotteeeeem
love the comment about RA being the girlfriend who breaks your ps5 over a minor inconvenience, and how shes a narcissistic neurotic lunatic. kind of wish they had more moments showing rachel as a petty selfish mega bitch like in the junkyard where she didnt even communicate with chloe why she was upset and then brushed her off for trying to cheer her up, would have helped us really understand her for the toxic maniac shes supposed to be.
you can deconstruct and look deeply into something that’s poorly written. it definitely didn’t seem like they were “defending” the story. just literally what they said, “some thoughts”. Maybe you should try having some
3:15:47 unironically great idea honestly. I mean since these games suck at making someone look super smart or charming. So Rachel basically the definition of perfect with rewind powers (ex. Answering all questions right/ knowing what to say to everyone) and therefore knows how to manipulate anyone she comes across. Become a real human chameleon.
Considering how the original Life is Strange has similar vibes to Twin Peaks with Rachel Amber missing, I wonder if Firewalk is a reference to the prequel movie of Twin Peaks 'Fire walk with me'
It's more than similar vibes, Chloe has a twin peaks license plate, a psychologist named Dr Jacoby exists, Rachel is clearly loosely based off of Laura Palmer. I'm not mad at LiS for being inspired by twin peaks but it's more than just vibes. It's straight up inspired/ reverential of twin peaks. So I don't doubt the fire walk with me reference
I haven’t watched the future streams but I just wanted to put down my theory. Is it possible Rachel created the storm in the original game? It’s inferred she has wind powers so it’s possible that when Rachel was drugged and killed, she became so angry, confused, etc that it created the tornado. It could be similar to how Max almost broke reality itself, perhaps people with powers can reach a breaking point. Granted, it doesn’t explain the weird warning signs such as snow, animals dying, a sudden eclipse, and two moons. Perhaps some of these events were caused by Rachel and/or Max. The snow, eclipse, and double moon were Max’s time powers affecting reality while Rachel is more nature focused and caused so many animals to die. But if we run with this theory, it could also be why Chloe dying prevents the tornado, if Chloe dies her spirit is able to calm down Rachel. Hence why Rachel and Chloe are the only people represented with spirits, a doe and a butterfly. It also would make more sense as to why Rachel had so much importance despite the tornado being the overall threat, granted I doubt the writers had thought of this ahead of time but perhaps this is there way of tying Rachel with the tornado.
I like the friction between what you think Chloe is about to say/do when you pick an option and it being this out of left field or super awkward thing instead. With Life Is Strange, Joe was talking about how they're awkward on purpose, the medium is the message, etc. and it's nea. Frustrating, but in a pretty neat way
The difference between this game and the original is hardly discernable honestly. The hair looks better. The remaster of the first game does however look better than the original imo. They really didn't need to remaster this one though it looked perfectly acceptable before.

The facial expressions are so bad! I’ll never understand if you’re supposed to feel mixed about Chloe or not. They make her so hatable but the game frames everything like you 1:1 agree with her. Maybe I just don’t get it! I’m definitely not the target audience for this game so thanks Joe for going through this mess. The arguments are really good, though
Joe's complaints about Elden Ring sound exactly like my complaints about the first Dark Souls. Seems like the game's gone past his raw skill level and he's unwilling to use the easy mode. It's kinda funny actually.
If you watch the video you can see that's not the case, he show how easy it is to just dual-wield and jump attack, his complain is that it's unfair when you don't cheese the game and boring when you do cheese it
@@Lemoncit0 I don't see how that's different. Jump attacking is part of the easy mode. He's unwilling to use it because he wants to do it a certain way and his skill is too low to do it that way. He even admits that he _could_ do it if he put in the time but he doesn't want to.
@@mechanicalmonk2020 the problem is it's fucking boring, and I agree.
