Music Room -Tubano Drum

The tubano is a modern drum developed and manufactured by Remo. It is patterned after the Afro-Cuban conga drum. Played with the hands, it has a deep tone when struck in the middle of the drum head and higher pitched sounds when struck on the rim. It’s easy to play while seated or standing. The drum rests on its stable base on the floor. The chorus I sing is from the 1958 song called “The Witch Doctor” by Ross Bagdasarian.
