One Piece is the greatest story ever told. It started in 1997 and is still going. So 26 years and counting. There's alot of adults that have invested years of their life following the journey. If this captures a tenth of the magic of the original it will be great.
This show will absolutely bring you back to the dreams and imagination you had as a kid, it’s such a wonderful world. I hope you enjoy it as much as us long time fans! I’ve been reading the weekly release of One Piece for about 15 years, and I cannot wait for everyone to see this show.
OP has been around for 26 years in manga and anime form. I'm a old man now but was a 20 something when I first watchit when it came out. The anime has over 1060 shows and manga is up to 1091 chapters. The world is crazy and something you guys have never seen before. The creator said he planned Op originally to be about 5 years long but he kept writing it and worldbuilding after 26 years. He is currently on the final arch of the manga and we may have about 5 years more before he ends the manga.

So if people see One Piece without watching, they'll think that it's just an ordinary kid's anime 😉

It is a Manga first wrote by Eiichiro Oda and then into Anime that has been going for 26 years which in comic sales it has out sold Spiderman and Batman leaving Superman the only one head of it. It also out sold Harry Potter. It world building is so huge and it has layers that can play with emotions not just about pirates. This just another media to go side but side with the Manga and anime

And this live action adaptation (which is hopefully going to be authentic) might give it the worldwide recognition it deserves on that scale. It has a lot of loyal fans, been running since 1997, and Netflix is currently pushing for it as their next flagship (🏴☠️🚢) title! So excited myself.

one piece is pretty much the biggest japanese anime /manga, i quess pokemon and dragon ball might be bigger but they are all in the same ball park, the one piece manga has sold more volymes than even comics like batman so its pretty big around the world, its nice to see people who havent watched one piece or any anime to be able to enjoy this amazing story:)
