    • @CommercialClaimsShow

      Thank you for watching and for your comment! Once policy limits are reached, there is nothing more you can get. There are other coverages though. You must make sure to address all of them if it is warranted

    The water damage is quite confusing, im studying for my examination and in the course it saids floods are excluded from policy however if it causes a fire than its covered. Does that mean water damage is not covered otherwise?

    • @CommercialClaimsShow
      @CommercialClaimsShow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, water damage and flood are two completely different perils.

    I have a h03 Towerhill policy 2018
    None of that contractor repair clause
    I put in a wind claim and they said the wind claim was covered under other Perils with a 2500 deductible
    It also states I need written consent from Tower Hill to make my policy assignable and a roofing contractor had me sign a “direction of pay” and got rights to my insurance benefits
    Did no work to my house and then demanded several thousand dollars from me in Lue of those benefits

    Ok. Debris removal is a 5% additional coverage (you notice that the additional is marked?) for when the house is a total. It allows for demolition and removal - it has nothing to do with the dang trees at the house. Trees are covered under the base coverage of the risk along with an endorsement that details how each carrier covers them. It is actually one of the true differentiated factors that impacts most customers.

      there are many rumors out there, but I prefer not to listen to them and keep working hard every day. opportunity come from hard work!

    • @philliphays4284
      @philliphays4284 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You have not explained debris removal correctly. it has nothing to do with fallen trees. the removal of fallen trees derives from the carriers duty to inspect the damage to covered property. There is very limited coverage for the removal of a tree that falls in your yard(often only $500). Land is not covered property..But if the tree falls on covered property- the house or appurtenant structures, even a fence the carrier has a duty to remove the tree so that an inspection of covered damages can be performed. There is no limit on this cost. Debris removal is for the removal of destroyed property that is covered by the policy. usually the ashes of a fire or ruined things from a covered water loss. The 5% is an additional amount if the covered loss exceeds the policy limit.

    For a roof claim, who we have to go first? Insurance, claim adjuster or to a roof company?

    • @CommercialClaimsShow
      @CommercialClaimsShow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any claim must be reported to an insurance company. You should also have a roofer go out to inspect the damages, confirm the damage, and help put together a scope of loss. You should also hire a PA to help document the claim, present the claim according to your post-loss obligations, and negotiate the proper settlement to provide the roofer the funds he/she needs to put your home back together again.
