I appreciate you for taking out time to educate those who watched this video including myself. I’ve been tattooing for almost 4 years now and it’s been a major struggle trying to get into any shops in the area. I’m constantly researching information daily to try to become a better artist. I came across this video and just wanted to thank you. I know eventually I’ll get to where I want to be through this journey.

As far as an online apprenticeship I think that if you divide things into different chapters that is students can send you a video of us preforming the skills laid out in that chapter. That would give you the ability to critique us as much as possible without being there in person. So far your TH-cam content is amazing and I think learning from you as a virtual apprentice would be a great way to learn.

I think the biggest disadvantage of online apprenticeship would be impatience. As I did too, and sometimes still feel like it, videos like this are sped up, and some artist thinks, "phew, I can do that too in no time", and they become stressed at 20-30% of the piece finished, become impatient, and mess up the rest. But it can be really useful, but everyone who reads this: Take. Your. Time. Every art reflects a piece of you, and you do it for yourself too. Keep up! 🤘

I am currently in an online school, and we have Zoom twice a week, 2 hrs each. There is an assigned piece for in class that is worked on with the instructor leading and then answering questions, and a piece assigned for homework. There are different levels, i.e. basics (BBP certification, sanitary set up, equipment used and explained, lines/shapes/shading, etc), flash designs, black and grey, color, advanced black and grey (realism), and advanced color (realism). In the advanced courses, the studebts do one design on human skin (with appropriate waivers and releases of liability) on a zoom class with all watching and instructor helping if needed. It's been incredible, and I'd love to see more schools like this available 😊 The one I'm in is a 2 year program and very in-depth!

could you possibly make a video about how many passes you can make on skin, how to tell when its to many, and when it would cause scarring etc. Also with shading is the artist supposed to hang the needle to ride to tube or is it the same with lining where you want to control your needle depth. Thanks again you've been extremely helpful in leanring how to tattoo

I don't prefer too much details from end to end but more so I am doing fine details on the subject area of the tatto to emphasize the design but it still varies on the eyes of the artist

You can be a tattooer and then become a tattoo artists. Some tattooers art aren’t that good but can do a clean tattoos. Often client want a copy of something anyways and you’re just tracing. Some tattoo artists can draw better than they tattoo. The top tattoo artists do mostly custom work, they have great art skills and tattooing.

Hi, Can you please draw a line tattoo for me. Elephant crushing a human, with a lion on top of the elephant. This symbol is an indication that a person with desires for wealth and power cannot walk towards God, and one must get rid of these desires to achieve spiritual growth. The lion and elephant represent pride and wealth, respectively, and they are crushing the human to signify how these desires can overpower and crush a person.
