Thanks. That is exactly what I was looking into as I need to fit a flat bed now without having to buy the cantilever system or new shocks.👍🏻 Yes free modification with Elbow grease.
you don't need to tune your springs or raise the perch, laying them down that far (which in my opinion is way to far) you need 80 mm shocks, or better yet just buy a cantilever kit so you don't hinder performance at such a degree 🤘🏼
bro ur the man brother,I see ur COMMENTS everywhere and u Kno ur stuff brother,u helped me with my gen8 tremendously,,,I just got the trx4 sport kit, please give me the best mods,do's and don'ts,I trust your knowledge my friend
It's a free mod while you wait for your cantilever setup when using a flatbed truck. This only give you more articulation but also makes the rig more unstable when rock crawling uphill. Performance is out of the door to be honest. I did this while waiting for my cantilever setup.
I would agree with this. However I don’t think it makes the rig less capable it’s just tuned to do something different. I think it depends on the terrain. I’ll post an updated setup!
Can you do the same on the front of the truck? I haven't really checked to see if I can do this to my TRX4 Bronco. Probably run into steering linkage issues!
@@zebra5591 there's also a video from someone else who did the same with the front shocks, however they took the springs off the front shocks to do it. None of it is really permanent, I'm just going to put it back if I don't like it lol.
Hi, fantastic modification i must say and I love the longer throw coming from the suspension. However, I encounter another problem. My front wheel will rub the body shell on full right when reversing. And is only when reversing right full lock, left is fine. Wonder if you have any suggestion or recommendation? Many thanks in advance.
Cool video, nice mod! I have an unrelated question, though. Are your upper links a smaller diameter than your lower links? I have a Chassis kit and all links are same diameter, but I later bought a G500 and the upper links are thinner.
Dude. Thanks. Just did it. Took minutes and what a differance. Thx
Great idea, thanks for the video!! I’ll have to look and see if you have any videos of it crawling next.
Thanks man did this today noticed a big difference 👍🏻

Very Cool and usefull tutorial! Thks for the info share! Loved and Subscribed
Works with lift kit just more extreme. Can’t wait to test it........ it’s 2am right now haha
How did it work with the lift? I have the high trail.
Holy cow! That's a big difference

Thanks for the free mod Bro! I've subscribed to your channel!
Nice tips. Don't you have sample vid on how it performs?
Japox 33: What this will do is make the spring rate softer *as it compresses* so your rear will completely collapse on a steep climb with soft springs
@@WIDGET738 thanks. Im gona try this free mod on my trx 😁👍
Nice Videos and cool Mod👍🏻
Would this eliminate my crawler from being in scale class?
Can I ask what spring rates and oil weight you're using?
Any updates or videos on how it crawls?
Do you have diff lock problem?

Did you do this to your TRX4 bronco? I have it and wanting to make sure its worth it before changing it all over
@@zebra5591 not yet, planning on trying though
@@charlesb7831 Please keep me updated! i may try it after work. Just have to figure out how to strap it to my motorcycle tho

nice Video, what about front? is there any possible upgrade?
How does the body mount now?
I’m new an what I did with my injora jeep body is make cutouts in the bed because of them shocks in the way. Was this reasonable? I have RedCat 8
Thats a great way to get more travel! Those Injora bodies are cool. I need to get one!
Y en el supuesto que las ruedas se qdan colgando en un obstáculo,el cardán quedaría en una posición ángulo de rotación forzada no??
Would it work on TRX4M defender?
Will this work on the TRX4 Defender
Your sport had inner fenders?
What you just did will give you more articulation, not droop. A droop setup will lower your center of gravity..
Actually no. The word droop is used completely wrong in the R/C crawler world. Droop is downward travel. It's in the name.
What about my rock lights
Nice idea, like it

why not, but you need shorter shocks now, not only spring rate.
It's okay for a scale flatbed build but this mod kills the uptravel which is needed just like droop in crawling or scale driving

I run no springs in the back remember trucks not jumping
It is evident that the shock absorber rod in this position suffers much more! i don't absorb that much. It is my opinion
Subscribed 😉
Update?
I liked it but it didn’t get the center of gravity as low as I wanted. So went with a taller spring perch. I need to get an update posted! Thanks
Yeah I don’t have to buy $120 left it
I DON'T like free. Nope. In fact i prefer to pay more and get less. No. Wait, that's not right.
