Rage in Eden is such a classic album, amazing production and vision. All recorded on tape with cutting and splicing , not sure MIDI was around at that time either. Ultravox have never received the recognition they deserve (in my opinion) - Midge Ure has turned into a great song writer with some brilliant solo work. I have followed him since Reap the Quartet Album when I was 16. The 80s had some great bands at the time

interesting how in every interview he never mentions PVC2. Wonder why? He released a single with them Put You In The Picture, which he then took to Rich Kids. PVC2 were a punky style band, and may even have been the remnants of SLIK (not sure).

They jumped a little on the punk bandwagon but the Put You in the Picture/Deranged Demented & Free/Pain EP is pretty decent. Assume Midge would think of the band as just a continuation of Slik.

I think PVC2 was a Rich Kids spin off or before they became rich kids, maybe a bit of Slik. It was only 1 single so maybe it wasn’t worth mentioning.
