The planking I believe he's done in the "Clinker" style like the old Norse long boats were done. He does like to use that Swedish knife for a lot of it.
Master Palm, she is a slim craft of true beauty ! (Lovely oiled pine wood, I guess?) It is also great seeing you use traditional tools: your axe & knife in particular. Bless you for sharing your work on that project. Thanks from Barcelona. 🌿 🙏 🧜♂️
Such cheap wood is asking for Wood Epoxy Saturation Technique. Now I'll watch the remaining 45 minutes. What will it be? Epoxy and fibres or the ancient way of building? Both are great, buy the way.
This was wonderful, exactly what I have been searching for: a complete start to finish clinker-built dinghy process. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
How would you do that? Exactly the same. Just do it. Do you know the carbon copy paper trick? That way you see if the angle is right. I don't come and applause each time you park your car! That's just as amazing.
What a wonderful video! You are certainly a skilled builder. How can I learn more information on your riveter? I've almost gotten a sore elbow from all the riveting on the boat I'm building.
Great video of a beautiful build. It could use more of that cute little helper in pink, and less of that mindlessly repeating and distracting music. When I watch a craftsman at work, I want to hear the sawing, the hammering, the incredible sound a truly sharp plane makes, etc.. I also would have liked a lot more photos of the finished boat. The teaser we got showed a boat any of us would be proud to own.
All this Work is to be done to get a watertight construction. Imagine what can be done with so much knowledge if modern materials are used! The same designs! You can not convince me that copper clinking is the best for boatbuilding.
I love your comment. Not only because I agree with the sentiment but that last line “Have a long life “ ....what a beautiful thing to say to someone. May you, Hossein Ghaffari, have a long life.
...I knew it wasn't the mans first trip to the rodeo when he just happened to have the correct spacer for the center of the keel...We can only hope that the opportunity to learn from this Shipwright & Craftsman has already taken place...Thank you for posting...A.C.Feuerhelm
A fir tree has the most water resistant resin .long lasting, might be wrong but on land I found it to bee and nothing was instructed to build the ark from a resinous wood

Yup ...
Mora knives are literally used by everyone for everything where he’s from.
My respects! It’s hard to find really good craftsmen nowadays! Congrats for his great work.
Thanks for posting and sharing. Really nice to see such confidently done work.
Thank You so much for this wonderful registration of an artisan who makes boatbuilding look deceptively simple.
Brilliant when you know what your hands and tools can do.Thank you
This boat Is for use in the sea? Or only in lakes and calm waters?

Beautiful example of traditional ship building techniques and skillful craftsmanship. Also, nice work filming and editing the production. Bravo!!

Dude has done this a lot. He held the back angle brace at the right angle and ran it through the band saw!

Really nice video! Thankyou. He is a old professional at making these boats.. really good stuff
500 odd dislikes....Who are these people!
One of the most beautiful & detailed boat builds. Very enjoyable to watch.
That boat is maid. Of screws
what is the thickness of the planks
Hes a master ,not a bater ,a craftman !
No keel plank just board?
Thats the voice of experience
Hur många timmar lades ned på detta?
Fantastisk hantverk! Gratulerar!
All I can do is bow before a master craftsman, well done sir it was a honour to see you work
Very very good job 👍👍👍
Wonder how many of these boats this craftsman has made?
Habría sido satisfactorio verlo navegar.
Un hermoso trabajo.

Cool clamps! Never seen those before! Do they have a name? They look like clothes pins.
They’re called planking clamps or planking lap clamps.
The owner of videos busy making a boat, don't asked too much, watch something else guys.
Talangfull suverän
I would love to inherit his shop.
Is posible contact this máster? O have a qestions about this clinker boat. Muy bonito

Istimewa
Nothing but pine wood? I think I can build this myself. I wish we could see a tiny bit more of the finished boat. It looks beautiful!
A fir tree has the most water resistant resin .long lasting, might be wrong but on land I found it to bee and nothing was instructed to build the ark from a resinous wood
Nice vid but I have to say the High top gum boots are kind of suspicious do you have sheep some where
Such a pleasure to watch. Wish I could have seen it underway.
Mantap
Even though seen as Old age but he works like a professional
So much skill here. Love the one-handed klinker technique, which I plan to use since I work alone. Thank you!
thank you for shairing your boat building, you are shore
ly one of the best of the best
Very good build, very good video. Thank you for sharing.
Why are you accepting this praise? You had nothing to do with the construction of this craft!

Fantastiskt hantverk! Har den här båttypen något namn? Och var i Sverige görs den?
If only I could turn off the damn music and hear the sounds of a master craftsman using his tools and skills.
What kind of wood are you using?

Riktigt imponerande och intressant att titta på. Tack!
