So there's a recipe called slutty brownies basically what you made with brownie mix poured on top and I left the oreo cookies whole and squished them into the chocolate chip part. You cook it all together
The "everything seasoning" is typically called everything bagel seasoning here in the US. In most places you can get bagels, you can find everything bagels which this seasoning is normally sprinkled on the top of before baking.
In America you can go into a bagel shop and order an everything bagel. It's cooked with this seasoning on top. They have essentially taken the seasoning from these bagels and turned it into something you can use in other recipes. Yours looked spot on. 👌
Your seasoning mix looks perfect! You can buy everything bagels with the seasoning on them but the mix is good on lots of things! Eggs, meat, and REALLY good on roasted veggies
Everything bagels have all those toppings you had, and sometimes even a little kosher salt. I sprinkle it on top of my cream cheese if I have plain bagels instead of everything bagels. I've also used it on my crescent dogs, toast, etc. It was not created by Trader Joe's, as many millennials think, but was created by David Gussin with giving the spice blend its “everything” title. He worked in a bagel shop in Queens, and was using up bits of random leftover bagel toppings so as not to waste them.
I learnt long ago to always watch Barry's videos when I'm eating, so I'm glad I had just made a crisp sandwich when I started this. In answer to what you mentioned about the story that ice is added to drinks in restaurants so you get less than what you paid for, this isn't usually the case. If you are going somewhere like a cocktail bar, they will have the correct glassware for certain drinks and staff should know which drinks are served with more or less ice, cubed or crushed and how much to be pourongmper serving. Some places however will just put a load of ice in and fill up with the drink
Tortillas are awesome. They make great quick pizza crusts. Everybody gets to personalize their own. Not to mention wraps, appetizers, etc.... And everything bagel seasoning is a great topping for all kinds of things.
My wife has made several variations on the wrap using the air fryer for a few years now. Quick, warm, and a good way to use up some left overs too as you vary the fillings.
Ian Fleming, the creator of Bond (who passed on many of his own traits onto the character), enjoyed his drinks shaken and not stirred because he believed it preserved the flavor of the drink.
Mr Barry sir. Just wanted to say that I enjoy your videos emensly. I am disabled so I don't really get to cook like I used too. Love you keep up the good work
Everything bagel seasoning also usually had carroway seeds and sea salt. But it's a popular bagel topping! People love the flavor so much that they sell the seasoning so you can put it on whatever!
Everything seasoning is a mix of what is put on an "everything" bagel. So if you go to a bagel shop, you can get a plain bagel, an onion bagel, a blueberry bagel, apoppy seed bagel, all the different flavors and one flavor is "everything" which has all those seasonings you put in that mix. Trader Joe's started making a pre mix seasoning with all the flavors called "everything but the bagel" seasoning, and now everything seasoning is all the rage.
@@mrbarrylewis trader joes is a really cool shop. I moved to the US when I was a kid, so my knowledge of British shops is limited to Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys. But they sell lots of interesting items. If you're looking for something unique that you probably wouldn't see in the regular shop, they probably have it. Most of their products are own label and fairly cheap for American groceries. They constantly stock new products. One of my favorite things they have is a mushroom and black truffle flatbread pizza. But they have amazing frozen food, snacks and treats and seasonal items as well. There are blogs of people reviewing products If you want to see the sorts of things they stock. If you're ever in the states, go check one out. You'll absolutely love it.
Shaking a martini with ice will chip off little bits of ice that do (slightly) change the taste and mouthfeel of the drink, and also dilutes it slightly, but nowhere near enough to significantly reduce the effect of the alcohol.
It is common to see poppy seeds, or onion, or garlic, or sea salt as toppings on a bagel. This is basically all of the other 'common' toppings all combined together.
@@mrbarrylewis They sell everything bagel seasoning everywhere here, costco even has it! I buy it and use it in place of salt in/on my eggs in the mornings and it's delicious Some places even sell cream cheese pre mixed with the everything bagel seasoning.
Thanks for sharing the everything bagel recipe! I can get bagels with it but not the seasoning and I want to try the bagel wraps fried in butter. Have you ever had just a tortilla fried in butter? If not you should try it and share with the girls, they are delicious!
Everything bagels are so good I’m surprised they don’t have them there. I put the everything seasoning from Trader Joe’s on my avocado toast and it’s stonkin!
Everything bagels are awesome. The bagel is baked with the seasoning on it (sometimes even in the dough as well). Then, they started selling just the seasoning for times when you could only get a plain bagel, or, like this recipe, you want to add that flavor to it.
You can make "everything (but the bagel)" seasoning. It's pretty simple. Sesame seeds (some have just plain some have plain and toasted or black mix) Poppy seeds Dry mince garlic Dry mince onion Kosher salt In usa it is sold premixed. Depending on the brand the ratio can differ.
In the US, you can get bagels with various toppings, and eventually bagel stores started offering a bagel with everything on it - everything they otherwise offered individually. This became popular, and then some grocery stores started offering it pre-mixed in a bottle, as "everything seasoning." So, it's "everything" a bagel shop would offer individually on various bagels, and it's not considered unusual, at least in parts of the US where bagels are common. Which is why your treats are called bagel wraps, even though there's no actual bagel in them. You might want to try making bagels sometime. They must be boiled and then baked - if the recipe skips the boiling, it won't be very good. (You won't get a bagel, you'll get a bread donut.) They won't come out as good as they do in Brooklyn (no comment about your prowess as a cook, it just depends on the water used and you don't have the optimal water) but they'll probably be better than what you can get locally.
Having a bad pain day after a bad accident on Saturday night and this is the perfect distraction to the pain. I’ve always wondered what the bagel seasoning was for too, on the bagel, in the bagel in the bagel dough? Glad it’s not just me!
I do the per made cookie dough on the bottom, whole oreos on top of the cookie dough. And a family size box of brownie mix. Use a 9×13 pan. Bake 30-40 minutes 350 degrees 180c
I literally thought the Oreo on the top and the caramel were a step too far. Those bagel wraps and that drink look EXCELLENT though! I’ll be making those for the next football game!!
Omg okay Barry I have to confess I tried the wrap/Bagel bite things at the start of the week and have made one as a snack as soon as I've gotten back from work every day since 😂😂 they ARE SO GOOD 🤤
