I bought my Bosch table saw the other month. My wife is getting me a new Triton router for an anniversary present and i wanted to combine the table saw with it. Great vid fella, thank you so much.
Andreas I.m an ex pro of 25yrs and retired for a few years. Im setting up a small shop using machinery much smaller than im used to. Your reviews of these lightweight tools are very helpful and I love your accent Regards Stuart from uk.
Hi Andreas, Thank you for posting this video. I actually purchased the Tritan router, Kreg insert and Kreg insert leveller kit around two weeks ago. I liked the idea of having the height adjustment from above without the expense of a router lift. Going by your video it looks like it should work well. Thanks again, Peter
Up with the very best! Now I think a copy is in my head. No mention of a Router Table with my new Router 1200AE Bosch that I just bought. Must follow this up. Glad You showed me the way! Thank You Sir!
This is a great use of space. No doubt this modification is in the near future for my tablesaw. Now that you've granted me permission, I'll watch the other videos. Thanks.
I live near Denver and visit Rockler and Woodcraft there often. I have looked at and read about the Triton router and thought it would be a good buy for my extension. The problem is that both those vendors have the Triton, but don't carry the plate that it needs to fit into the table. Neither had the dust collection parts that you show on your installation. The web indicates that the dust collection pieces come with the router. I need to investigate the Triton more thoroughly. I like your installation that does not need a lift to get height adjustment and has dust collection without putting the router in a box. I have also asked both Rockler and Woodcraft about a router that has a spindle lock for one wrench bit changes. Neither knew of any router with that feature, but the Triton TRA001 3¼ HP model has one. It is also less expensive with comparable warranty than most other high HP routers with fewer features. Thanks for the video.
I like your videos! And I so much like the People who doesn’t hide their “mistankes” but is open about it. This is so instructive! I Will build my own router table with the inspirations from this video 👍 Thanks!

Thank you Andreas. From S. Africa. Looking at buying this very saw. Toss up between this and the Dewalt. I'll stick with the Bosch. Really interesting and helpful video.
@@holzhandwerk_ak Hi Andreas, when you have the router installed the you can't use the fence ruler anymore because you need to remove the router and close the extension for the ruler to measuring accurately, have done anything to compensate for that or did you buy stick on measuring tape? Thanks
Very, very good video, Andreas. As I can see from your video and others, it just makes sense to upgrade my router before I create a decent table. Oh well.
Great idea. Never thought about using the gab of the table saw extension to put a router in. I've always clamped it into my little, mobile, workbench. Silly me. Thumbs up.
May I ask what the (German) name of the brown coated plywood is? I've never seen it here in UK but I know you can buy big sheets in Germany. I can only get melamine chipboard which is so annoying. www.travisperkins.co.uk/Product/Timber/Sheet-Material/White-Melamine-Shelving+Furniture-Panels/c/1515000
In German it’s called “Siebdruckplatte” (screen printing board) because I think that’s what I was used for. I think in English it’s called resin-coated plywood.

You did that a bit different to me last week. I attached the timber around outside of plate, then made a piece to go in the centre, where I was going to cut the hole, so router would be supported on both sides. After removing all material for router plate I cut the middle all the way out. My first use of a router and I only have one arm. Wasn’t as scary as I thought, tho I only needed to hold on the a makita trim router. Wouldn’t be tackling that great hulk of a Titan router with one hand. The Titan in a Mft table will be next if I get enough use out of my toy router table.

Ist wieder einmal ein schönes Video geworden. Obwohl es schon ein paar videos zu dem Thema gibt, hast du es geschafft das Video sehr gut und interessant zu gestalten 👍
I been struggling with my need for a table router vs my lack of workshop spacewhen I came across this really useful video. I used a piece of old kichen worktop (40mm thick) which worked well. I put maple edging (about 18mm, from some left over maple flooring) on the ends as I didn't want the screws holding the metal strips to move in the chipboard. I used 3mm x 15mm stainless strip for the mounting front and back, basically because that was what I could find on offer: no problem with fouling the fence. The front and back of the saw bed are not quite vertical which means that positioning the strips is a bit fiddly. Despite some site indicating that the Kreg plate could sag I went with that and the big Triton. I mounted the plate/router with the switch towards the front and the dust extraction at the back - I can use the same extractor pipe as I use on the blade guard of the saw, switching it over farly easily. However the spring cover on the router fouls the base of the saw when the router is fully lowered so for now I'm leaving the cover off - its upside down so shouldn't get too much dirt. I used a large outdoor switch mounted under the table like yours but I put a hinged wooden flap in front of it that turns the switch off when you press it, just like the standard switch for the GTS10. I even painted it red! Thanks for a really great suggestion. I'll make a router fence and fingerboards next.
Great video, Andreas! Thank You so much for posting it. I have the Bosch 4100XC-10 that I am going to attempt this on. I already cut the plywood to size the issue is the plywood is now slightly cupped for some reason. Wow - cool! I really appreciate that - Even more so because it’s coming from a professional. Now I’m going to try even harder knowing that you’re watching with a critical eye ;-)

nice video as usual Andreas. I think you should make two supports on the right side of the table, maybe under the adjustable bar of the saw plane. i hope to be wrong but I would not want it to bend during a processing. see you in the next video ciao
Great vid....yes, a build like this always includes a little trial and error..Was wondering if you put any lock nuts under neath on the screws that level the top plate off. i would think that vibration would change the plate height. I had this happen to me where the part of the plate came up and snagged/caught my work piece. just a question/suggestion.
Congratulations Andreas: by far the best instruction video for this ( and I have seen many) !!

Danke Stefan.
Looks good
Thanks
it's vary good work
Thanks.
👍 Excellent work ! 👍
Thanks!
Wow Andreas ! Fabulous work and your videos are getting better and better. Love it.
Thanks Sanjay! May I ask: What exactly gives you the impression that the videos keep getting better (I’d like to understand what my viewers look out for). Thanks for your feedback.
Andreas Kalt Hi Andreas, I find your use of focus shifts and shallow depth of field very unusual for a TH-cam film maker. It is very sophisticated in my opinion. I have some experience 😀
These are my credentials from my day job

Wow - cool! I really appreciate that - Even more so because it’s coming from a professional. Now I’m going to try even harder knowing that you’re watching with a critical eye ;-)
Fantástico..., ficou excelente, parabéns pelo seu excelente trabalho!!! Vou aproveitar algumas das suas ideias, dividir o conhecimento é o que falta na Humanidade.
Abraço aqui do Brasil 🇧🇷

veeeeeery GOOD Work!
Thanks a lot.
I just picked up a bosch 4100 and a router table setup for a porter cable 6902 router and I am looking to do what you did here.
Good luck!
nice video as usual Andreas.
I think you should make two supports on the right side of the table, maybe under the adjustable bar of the saw plane.
i hope to be wrong but I would not want it to bend during a processing.
see you in the next video
ciao
That’s a good idea. I’ll keep an eye on it.
....top Video.....Daumen nach oben.....!
Danke!
Hi Andreas.
Schönes Video. Und danke für das zeigen der Stolperfallen.
Hab noch ein Abo und nen Daumen dagelassen.
LG aus k
Danke Andreas
Great vid....yes, a build like this always includes a little trial and error..Was wondering if you put any lock nuts under neath on the screws that level the top plate off. i would think that vibration would change the plate height. I had this happen to me where the part of the plate came up and snagged/caught my work piece. just a question/suggestion.
Thanks for your comment
