This was great, been searching for "how do i get rid of floaters in my eye" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Siyndrew Dumbfounded System - (do a google search ) ? look i see yellow and white flashes appears for a split second but some times when i see them i get a Migraine
i was rubbing my eyes and when i opened it i saw shining flashes infront of my eye as soon as i try to focus in one white shine it disappears .

My flashes of light appears usually occur when I don’t get enough sleep. It starts from a small dot and it goes one round and when the circle completed then I will have severe migraine. Doing my training year a senior Dr gave me Imigran. But each time I took Imigran I had severe spasm in my tongue and nap.
For people having flashes at the edge of your peripheral vision especially looking right to left or left to right fast. If you dont have migraine or head trauma or if you dont have posterior vitrious detachment due to age. The answer is simple. It is occipital nerve compression. Check if you also have tinnitus and occasional vertigo and headaches on one side of the head. Neck pain is also possible.
What does occipital nerve compression and will the flashes go away and are they harmful? (I have a bit of tinnitus)
@@TheGalonator if you have flashes characteristic of the flash matters the most. First thing to do is almost always having an eye check for a problem. Possibly retinal problems a hole, a tear on a microscopic level or could be worse and leads to a retinal tear. Once the eye problems are eliminated your next stop would be trigeminal or occipital nerve neuralgias...consult your neurologist for more detailed info. if those are not diagnosed your next stop would be migraine and one of the stops would be unfortunately MS. Well there coupled of stuff i am certainly missing. Tinnitus combined with flashes could also be intracranial hypo tension or a very mild case of dura leak which could last even years without being diagnosed. Dural leaks are repaired via blood patches but that is last resort treatment. Consult about it to your brain and spine surgeon or an algology specialist.
the past few months i’ve developed floaters, light flashes when looking left to right, light sensitivity, visual snow, after images, and dry eyes. i’ve gotten my eyes checked and my doctor says they are perfectly healthy despite me having all those symptoms. for a period of time i would get headaches back to back that started at the back of the head, i looked it up on google and it said it was occipital neuralgia. does that sound correct? and if so is it something that can be fixed at home?
@@PJ-lw6ng if your eyes are healthy, and if it is occipital neuralgia. There re options u can try to fix neuralgia. First and least invavise is a syringe depending on your individual situation. Next step would be radiofrequency in around the neeve to block it. Next time it heals its pathways may be more adapted to your changing physiology. if none of it works then theres a surgery to make space for your nerves in that crawded area but it is a bit tricky. Eventhough you fix the neuralgia symptoms it may or may not help with your flashes. Theres a risk benefit scale you have to consider. Especially if you go with the surgery. Moreover eventhough the eye doctor says your eyes are fine, almost always get a second or even third opinion. The root cause of flashes relates symptoms may not always be acute. it can develop over time in retina and can only examined after a while like in months or even years. So have a recheck periodically as long as you have the flashes. Best and least risky situation would be a pvd and even that needs to be controlled. Have your periodic checks are second opinions.
@@barbarospil ok thanks! i’ve gotten my eyes checked by an optometrist at least 3 times over the past four months (she thinks i have ocular migraines) & will be seeing an ophthalmologist very soon. I was explaining to my doctors that i think my vision issues may have more to do with my body than my eyes but they haven’t considered looking for a root cause. Hopefully my ophthalmologist will.
I had cataract surgery in May 2022 in my left eye. My right eye was done in June 2022. The left eye has been fine with no issues long term. However, in my right eye I have had floaters, and now for the past 3 weeks, lightning in the corner of my eyes. If I keep my head straight it's fine, but when I move my head like most people do during the day, I will see the light in the corners. It gets really noticeable when it starts to get dark. What can I do?

For people having flashes after using their phone. There is a very simple explanation to it. It is the variable brightness and refresh rate causing residual burn ins. What you see on the screen is a very fast flicker but when brightness changes refresh rate which is adepted by your brain and seeing it as a single image cant maintain it perfectly. It should only last a few minutes after you turn off your phone and nothing to worry about. This is much more pronounced if you are using your phone in the dark before bed. Thats when the burden is a lot more on your brain and your eye and your phone decreasing the brightness is not helping as well. This is more of a by product of OLED screens (amoleds) and should be less the case on iphone screens if i am not wrong.

@@miadjeric5077 if you can notice the flicker without phone screen in example high contrast parallel lines or white text on black background it may not be as easy as phone screen. it could very well be pvd or an impending retinal detachment. Make sure you check with a retinal specialist. Do not rush to get any laser though because they may offer it to do it right there. Place a gap for to think and assess.
@@barbarospil I did all checks,because I have problems to find diopter which fits me for I year. I have plus and astigmatism but no diopter that works for me. With flashes is only when in dark room I use phone and it start blinking for a few minutes. I don't know what to do any more really...all checks,doctors and nothing it is killing me
And also if I go from dark room to lights it happens for few seconds that everything is blinking ..I did all research that I know,I did also MRI of brain but nothing showed

I see six dots and a squiggly line that last for about a second same shape and in the same place to each other it use to happen often then go away for weeks then come back I do have poorly controlled high blood pressure.
the last few weeks i’ve noticed that when i go to the bathroom in the morning and come back into my room that’s pitch black dark, it looks like lights are flashing but i know they’re not
It happens randomly at my house, cause it's rather dark in here, but I see a small dot of white flash to the side in my peripheral vision. Never during work or the day really, but this has never happened before. Just started about 5 days ago, and I've been going to the gym, do a lot of physical labor, and always use blue screen on my phone and this has never happened until now. Kinda scary sometimes, not to mention I'm a hypochondriac.

Most likely your vitreous is loosening (happens to everyone as you get older) and beginning to pull off of your retina. Your retina doesn't feel pain so when it tugs, it sends a signal to your brain that interprets the tugging as light. That's what causes the "light flashes." It's usually not concerning because eventually, the vitreous will totally separate from your retina and the flashes will stop. But it's good to get it checked by a doctor to make sure your retina doesn't tear from the tugging.
@@knucklehoagies turns out I have bilateral uveitis, and anterior on my right side. Have a follow up this Wednesday. I been on dilation and steroid drops.

@@fritolays406 Did the light go away after the inflammation in your eye was fixed? I am experiencing this and I have been prescribed two different types of eye drops for inflammation.
I have had congenital cataracts and YAG laser eye procedure for secondary cataracts in both eyes, plus an injury to my right eye. I have an ophthalmologist who says everything is good, but I believe that I may have visual snow. not only is there scattered patterns going around my eyes especially when looking at a complex pattern, but I see little lights like sparks that go away, or spots that can be dark or light and go away, and I believe I have palinopsia because of the visual snow. Is this a normal thing I'm seeing, I'm 33 years old now. really hoping that eye science can solve all my visual problems lol, but don't think so, especially with a conservative provincial government.
When I ask questions like a yes or no, question and if it’s right it turns to green yellow and if it’s wrong it turns into a dark color. It’s something more I presume because I’ve been playing around with it and it seems to be a dimension between our eyes. When I brought a bible into my room I saw a bright orb then saw myself from 3 angles. I was not on drugs but meditate everyday. After a while I started to see synchronized numbers then an astral being.

HAHAHA I had the same when I first experienced double vision then I always would pray that it wasn't my eye and then I realized I only see that when the light bulb is on the. I knew it was just our lightbulb. Actually literally every single one of our lightbulbs was doing that for some sort of reason. I know it was a miracle👁️
I had cloudy vision in one eye that would happen once in a while for years. I also see halos around lights or for example white text on a black screen will blur upwards (that's when I see the clearly however I see many things blur upwards) So I went to get an eye test & apparently I have healthy eyes & I just can't see that far. So I got glass that are -0.75 so my vision isn't too bad & it mostly fixed the blurring upwards thing. However I started to notice floaters more, maybe I'll get one or 2 but 2 at the same time is rare. I noticed this past week that I'll get a flash of light that's really fast like a millisecond & the flash is white. Sometimes I don't know if I just blinked & I'm making stuff up, the TV flashed white or it's the light bulbs but I'm pretty sure it is my eyes, I got 1 I think every day or almost every day & today I got 3 if all of them were in fact flashes in the eye. Should I worry??? I heard it could be eye-strain, anxiety/stress, blood pressure. But I really don't know, its been only a few weeks since I went to get my eye test

same here with the white text. i also have issues with looking in the distance on certain things (usually bright colors) everything would kind of vibrate. the floaters and flashes of lights i had last march. got an eye exam and retina exam and all was good. however it seems like it's getting worse so ill be seeing an eye dr real soon. i have bad allergies (dust, pollen, etc) and i also get migraines and stress out a lot. so im hoping those are causes.

Your vitreous tugging on your retina. Don't look around to fast or hard, it could tear your retina. Get it checked asap.

I am exercising more and sometimes I see flashes like if colors in my side vision but nothing is blurry in any side of my eye sight
I have a question that I have not been able to find any where and this might be a really simple question but I have not been able to find it. I am not in the medical field so 5 minutes into the video, I am already lost. So when I turn off all the lights and the room is pitch black, there are lights flashing in various ways inside my eyes, they actually look like light bulbs that are turn on and turn off and they go at times into a triangle flashing lights some of them flash at a different times and others flash at other times. It basically looks like a Christmas tree with flashing lights. I have gone to the eye doctor and they stated I have ok vision for my age. Once this flashing of lights began, I also began to see energy all around us, energy emanating from trees, I see rotating flowers on people but I want to think they are energy points. Well there is more but I rather not disclose. I am just a bit confuse about this lights. I did not ask the eye doctor because I was a little shy and did not want to bring my videos to the doctor. I had three eye exams and alll three eye exams they stated my eye sight is good to go. I am not sure what is this flashing lights are about, again, no light is reflecting in my eye, the light is coming from inside the eye. about. If any of you smart people can give me some feed back. thank you.

I get a mix of orange and white flashes when I close my eyes and the pattern is like an air raid siren, start, goes for 10 seconds, goes away and repeat
So this thing happened to me, last Wednesday i was already in bed in the darkness, i had to get up to the bathroom and when i turned on the light i stared at it and on my left eye i saw a little black and white circle turning on and off then it went away, a couple of days later it's there mostly all day, i went to an optometrist and they said i was fine, not really sure what happened? Wondering if i should go to an opthalmologist to get a more complete exam, anyone ekse?
This happened twice and I closed my eyes and it was like looking at a bright white idk like wall or wallpaper it happened 2 days in a row then it stopped, it happened after I watched this video about astronauts when they see white lights when they sleep. Weird.
I only get these when tired. Wonder why insomnia isn’t listed as a cause. It seems to affect a lot of people with sleep deprivation.

I see it all the time I have my entire life. It's like a fuzz you see on a old TV. I still see just fine, I have been a migraine sufferer my entire life. The closest thing to describe the fuzz or particles is the filters Soho uses to view the sun. My eyes are blue, and I am in great shape, not sure what it is, I have suspected Solar particle forcing from our sun, pressure or field modalities, got anything better? I usually dont tell people because they look at me like I'm crazy, some days I see it more vivid, in particular when we have a high kp index. I need helppppp! I been awake for 7-8 days cuz 8 days ago I got a gum infection that is almost gone and don't really hurt at all but the same day I got it when I tryed to sleep I see bright lights in both eyes and no matter if it's a dark and light room I see super bright lights that keeps me awake what do u think it is but my eyes don't hurt

Sometimes I get them my start on the right side and they get bigger and bigger until pretty much all of my vision is just blocked why they last about 20 minutes and it goes away started back in the 80s I told two different eye doctors about it and they said there's nothing to worry about

I see lights streaks when blink this happen when I have light objects like cars during the night or some glares during the day is this permanent and what can I do??
Mine looks like a long exposure flashlight moving sometimes up or down in my peripheral vision. Mainly on the left side of my left eye but if I cough or laugh too hard it can happen in either eye. The thing is though, I know what the spark/stars look like when you strain too hard and these aren’t that. It’s one continuous line that travels upwards or downwards. It’s been happening for 2 years now. I went to the optometrist about it, the ophthalmologist, and I just got the results of a brain mri today and they don’t see anything wrong. I think it has something to do with me sitting and slouching for an unnatural amount of time. I have bad neck and upper back pain due to this as well. Maybe it has something to do with a nerve compression or spinal cord issues. It doesn’t happen as much when I fix my posture or stand up straight or lay down in bed. I can’t find anyone with symptoms exactly like mine online. They diagnosed me with ocular migraines but that sounds like a throwaway diagnosis because my symptoms don’t match that either.
If I don’t fix my posture it can happen every 3-4 seconds indefinitely. Otherwise it doesn’t happen very often. Maybe once every 2-3 hours if I’m paying attention to my posture.
Did you get your eye retina examined? I also see lights moving up and down in the periphery of my eye it's also sometimes in ring of lights. It more often comes if I bend my head down or stand and sit quickly.

For me the light is this tiny dot that turns on and off very rapidly at the same place pretty much.

Kai I think it's either went away or I've gotten use to it so I don't notice it anymore. I haven't looked up into the sky as of late so my floaters are still probably there but yeah, I don't think it's anything serious at all and should go away for you soon :)

is there a reason why I could be seeing spiderweb/string/lightning- like flashes in my vision when I jump up and down? Especially if I move my arms up and down (like with jumping jacks)? Is this a neck and shoulder issue? I have hyper mobility syndrome as well as muscle knots in my shoulders and neck.
Floaters and flashes along with neck and shoulder issues sounds so familiar .Well u should see a doctor i went and they told me i have chronic uveitis .And even after the treatment my eyes are not the same as before the floaters never go.

I started to see them after I got knocked out from getting hit in the back of the head. Actually I am experiencing eye floater’s since last one year more ever i have eye flashes at my left eye it’s like fast moving bright light making circles around my left eye when ever I move my eyes and just to keep you posted I have see mb many doctors they checked my eye multiple time and they said luckily My retina is ok and it don’t have any tear but my eye flashes are still there and it’s even getting worse and when ever I tack a bath or do training I am experiencing more flashes so that’s why I am so worried and confused about it I would like to know you’re opinion about it .

I had this floaters and flashes problem since a year and I went to doc couple of days back and I got specs but my eye is fine he said. My tension released after he said that and bwt i see like some small circles 4 or 5 and sometimes flashes.
to get rid of floaters they say pineapple slices, three every morning eliminated floaters for 75% of test subjects, You can look up the research on utube or online.

Whenever I stand up my vision just kinda goes white for 10 seconds, I walk like I'm drunk, and then I feel light headed. I honestly don't know what it is.

They did a study where they reduced floaters in the eyes of test patients by 75%, only by eating 3 slices of pineapple every morning! The study is online if you look for it or youtube it. Hope that helps.

There are many components to relieving floaters at home. One place I discovered that succeeds in merging these is the Micaden Magic Plan (check it out on google) it's the most helpful guide i've seen. Check out the interesting info .

I normally rest in my car during lunch, so I'll be reclined looking at the sky. When I just stare off into the blue, there are these neon white things moving around, I'd say a 100-150 just zipping around, I can follow them. When I move my eyes, they don't move with the eye movement like floaters do. What are they?

I'm pretty sure it's called Bluefield etoptic phenomena.. it's the white blood cells in your eyes and it's kind of weak so you can sometimes see them at a sky full of clouds or a blue sky, or bright things (it's normal btw so no need to worry)
My eye doctor couldn't give me a reason as to why I was seeing flashing of light. He just wanted to get my glasses done and over with for my hard working money.. I don't know what to do, I hope I'm alright.
Go to another Doctor. Get a second opinion.

For around 8 years I've seen colourful floaty things.... when i was younger i looked at the sun too long and my vision got very messed up. hasn't gone away. But I think it's getting better because the 1st time i realised i had it was really bad. I couldn't even sleep. Now I can sleep. It isnt as bad now even tho i know its still there. I've had this since I was around 6 now I'm 13. I'm really scared I could loose my vision.. should I worry????

Storm_ go to a doctor dude it sounds like you have retinal detachment, if you don’t get treatment Quickly you can go blind

I see Pink and Yellow once a week I guess all these colours burst then my eyes are normal. This happens a lot when I'm in the dark.
When my son closed his eyes he see little flash of light
This happens with me too, but I see purble and blue flashlighs
It's soooo weird read that other people also see this in different colors

I see light running around my both eyes, i went to the doctor he said have hole my eyes. He said need to patch my eyes and he do laser to my eyes close the hole. But couple days it came back the light but just little little bit not like before, i call the doctor he check again my eyes he said nothing wrong in your eyes just little bit dry....so he told me buy some eyes lubricant. Other than that still have a light but not berry often. The only reason i see light if i going out to much sunshine and if i use my cellphone a lot....

I only have them for like 10 5 seconds but not a lot of times is that ok! I only have flashes 2 times in my life is it ok!!!!!

I went to meet nearly 5 specialists for retina. When they dilated and carefully checked inside my eyes, the conclusions are all the same-my eyes are ok.
The most frequent time for me to see the blob of light running around my eyes is in the dark place , in the morning when i wake up, and when i have certain stress.
It’s quite annoying. I want someone to share and discuss this symptom. Thank you so much.

What if i see flicking lights but not lightning, and only last a few seconds lesser than 20-10? Like, a shape of... A curvy square in the corner of my eye? Also im glad the colorful things isnt dangerous, im 11 and i still need to enjoy live without disturbance of visions more

Let your mom know, so she can take you to your doctor, Only to make sure is nothing bad. But make sure you get enough sleep and exercise and try to eat healthy.
i see flashes and the last regularly. they look like a half circle and it bothers me regularly. headaches follow after and i get them periodically. i notice it is from when i look at light i get it. sometimes happens randomly it bothers the hell out of me!

It’s called visual snow syndrome! I have the same thing it’s like static in your whole field of vision, it doesn’t get worse it’s just there and it won’t make you blind at all
