He may have been all those things, but he was also a drug addict who slept with underage girls. Every person has their faults and their dark side so it’s no use pretending he was a saint. This is coming from a lifelong Elvis fan by the way.
I love documentaries with our elder generations. You get straight facts and truths instead of loads of B's. Thank you for doing this one about the King of rock and roll. Elvis was great and is still loved and missed by millions of fans from all over the world 💕
I’m so thankful they have preserved Elvis’s birth home, & Graceland. He did SO much for this World. He truly was one of a kind & I wish I could have met him.
Yes he did he was a good soul didn’t fr get wher he come !!! &’ became the most famous loved person &’ Super Star In The World Still Is AlwayzBe ! always said these fans folks put this shirt on my back I sure he done a lot fr many””” In So Many Many Ways !!! would had love to meet him as wel
All Elvis ever wanted was to may enough money to buy his Mother and Father a home and keep them comfortable. Sadly when Gladys passed away Elvis was never the same. Thank God that Vernon moved Gladys and Elvis to Memphis and for Elvis being smart enough to go to Sub Recording Studio and record a song. Memphis was the perfect place for Elvis to be discovered. Elvis was a true gift from God. He was a wonderful human being and the greatest entertainer ever.
I will always be grateful to the Elvis Presley Fan Club & Todd Slaughter , being lucky enough to have been on 2 Elvis trips in 1973 & 1975 respectively and thankfully got to see Elvis perform 3 times at the Vegas Hilton This two part story has been put together with amazing care and craftsmanship bringing back fond memories and revealing the true story directly from those there at the beginning backed with incredible rare footage and photos Elvis would be so proud of this Memoriam such a great tribute to a Wonderful Philanthropist and Entertainer God Bless 🎸🎹🎶👑💖🙏
I loved Elvis Presley & his music & movies! So did my 4 children. We saw them together! So thankful his birth place & Graceland has been preserved for generations to enjoy him as they get to know him and his music. Thank you Prescilla & Lisa Marie!
Probably the truest and most authentic documentary by the very people who were there at the time. The comment about Elvis keeping with his original band, especially the organiser was SO true ... and am glad his school friend actually said it. He was ruined by the sycophants surrounding him because he had no will power over his demons; they encouraged him. Also shows how little you can believe the accounts of others' who came into his life later on and went on to write about him. He was blessed with talent but ultimately, what a sad and tragic life he led. Personally, glad he died when he did before he sank even further.
Well said, I totally agree with you. I love the King, but the zealots are very real and very nuts. For example, I'm annoyed at the folks who recreated Elvis' birth home. The Presley's lived in abject poverty, and the way it's been all dressed up nice inside is a warping of reality. It gives an incredibly false picture of what Elvis had to overcome. I mean the people who dressed it up were well meaning. Moreover, no one wanted to look at some dump, back then. However, we've grown up as a society and I'd like to see a more honest recreation of what Elvis and his parents had to deal with. Furthermore, what created and molded the tragic figure he'd become.
Elvis mysterious beat to his drum enigmatic doing his thing an edge on his own music Soul deep he , white boy not black Elvis was him to move in a dynamical way Only Elvis had it he had Soulful Soul Blues knows NO Color 😊
"In awe"......sure , the sad irony of it , all this oppulence didn't particularly made him a happy man . Great documentary with relaxed narration and no unnecessary background music .
You are sooooo right the blues have no color! And yes elvis had it! Big time . Elvis broke the rules and wrote his own! Salute elvis still holds his title of the king!
To live there n that town back then I would love to have been a part of his town and hanging out going to the amazement park so awesome ! Be just a pleasure to be a part ! Friends and just the people of his town just awesome ! Elvis you'll always be missed !

This is gold. Sam always seemed to want to diminish Marion's discovery of Elvis and she seems to realize this and being a polite older woman, she tries to couch things in decency.
Exactly she is the one that really discovered Elvis. She knew Elvis had something special which is why she kept Elvis info for a year. She knew there'd be a time to approach Sam about Elvis.
I agree, I remember when Elvis told his story after that first recording, Sam said to him I will get back to you, but he never heard from Sam for over a year, annoys me, I believe Marion's and Elvis's story.

Michael Phipps what you are saying is just not true sir. I myself am the only one the colonel involved in this so called conspiracy I say so called because of the amount of clues he leaves he surely to god wants people to know! Ie- ‘a little less conversation’ was him basically saying to Lisa Marie to stop doing so many god damn interviews. And all these new Presley songs ha Elvis is even on TH-cam as someone else singing the songs he truly loves but wasn’t allowed to sing songs like la woman! So I am sir the only one who knows that is Elvis is alive and I would never tell a soul and will take that secret to my grave!
This was a great documentary and I never knew that the community where he grew up in Mississippi was called sheik rag the community where I have grown up here in East Tennessee was also called sheik rag just a little community outside of town that now has grown a lot since I was small but it still is home
At 1:18:28 to 1:20:03 Sam Phillips did not say that at the end of the recording session bass player Bill Black started to sing That's alright Mama which Elvis also knew and started to sing along with Bill Black - It was then that Sam Phillips got exited enough to record it - because Sam Phillips did not really like what had been recorded earlier that day - Bill Black had created the moment - And if Bill Black had not it would have not got Sam Phillips to get to really know what Elvis could do other than sing softer type songs ! 1:46:30 Marion Keisker says it !
Scotty Moore in interview said that neither he nor Black knew 'That's All Right,' working out an arrangement on the spot as best they could. You can find a YT documentary where Moore can be seen in person saying precisely this. What does seem likely is that it was Bill Black who introduced 'Blue Moon of Kentucky' as the song to record for the flip side.
Elvis was literally born on the wrong side of the tracks but that's all right... because Elvis wouldn't have been Elvis if it was the other way around!
Sam Phillips liked to embellish alot! The only place that quote of Elvis crying all the way home had to be from Sam! Also Elvis wouldn't lie about the go home and be a truck driver!
Yes he visited Tupelo many times after he became famous. He actually had something to do with establishing his birth home as a museum/tourist attraction
He did take a couple of friends by to show them where he was born. Sam Thompson said Elvis asked him to go for a ride with him and they went to tupelo and he showed Sam where he was born. He also funded a park there and a place for young people to go to. The place he started and carries his name in Memphis is still operating and receive funds every year. Lisa is carrying on his legacy. It helps people get on there feet with whatever they need.
There is video on TH-cam of Elvis at the house in Tupelo. It includes him and friends trying to set up a large sign announcing the future site of the park, etc for kids on the grounds of this house. The sign had fallen over before his visit. They called someone from the city to come and help set the sign back up. He is laughing in the video.
I’ve wondered why Elvis seemed to love his mother but nothing is said about his father. Looks like his dad made life for her miserable. Especially as an impressionable child those “rows” must have been traumatic.
That's why he was so protective of his mother. Vernon wasn't that good of a husband to Gladys or treat her right. That explains why Elvis wasn't that close to his father. He loved him and took care of him. I think Vernon resented the closeness Elvis had with his mother. He was also jealous of the gifts that Elvis gave to friends family etc. but was fine with the houses cars and money he got.
"but nothing is said about his father?" What do you mean? Plenty has been said and written about Vernon. Vernon was always with Elvis, even went to Germany with him when Elvis was sent there in the army. Most of the time, even on tour, Vernon was right there with him. Nothing could duplicate the close relationship he had with his mother, but he was always with his father and always defended him. He said "People say my father is tough, but they don't know what he's been through."
He beat Gladys a few times and once very badly. Elvis was always phoning her to make sure everything was okay. He didn't have much of an education and he was stingy. Elvis didn't like that he married Dee so quickly after his mother died. He met her in Germany and Elvis wasn't happy about any of it. Don't forget they lost their house because Vernon went to jail for forging a cheque. He sold his boss a hog and didn't think he got enough money so he added a number to increase the amount. Of course he got caught. That left Elvis and his mother to sleep here and there with relatives. Who knows what troubles that caused him. Probably the start of his insomnia and sleep walking.
I wonder what happened to that door prize? Damn man who gives away a diamond ring as a door prize back in those days especially a young up and coming singer whose career could have went anyway but up. That go to the show what kind of person he was.
The one thing that made elvis sound different was that "ECHO"effect and that got everyone's attention and wanting too know who is this "ELVIS"Presley. The rest is history.Next witness!!
That echo effect was Sam Phillips slap back delay that he did. He ran what he recorded back into the recorder and it created a nice single echo which made it more full sounding. Scotty Moore said it himself.
Wow his nick name CRAZY 🤪 Well something in common far across-the-board My name 🤪 😜 Man Called Elvis like he I had an over protective Mother and man she could sing Going on tour 2025 for his August Memorial His Birthday January 2026 WOW INSPIRED THANKS 😊
Sam etc you all should be ashamed of your self Marion keiskers should be the one to get all the credit people like you make fans sick Marion keiskers thank you for elvis Presley
Elvis is still ALIVE !! That was NOT Elvis in that casket ! It was a Wax Dummy ! That is what was in the 900 lb Copper Casket along with a battery powered portable cooling unit to keep the Wax from melting.Everyone that observed the '' body '' in the coffin noticed that the forehead had '' beads of moisture ''. Gene Smith, Elvis's 1st cousin, said that the Sideburns had been glued on and kept coming loose! Gene also stated that one could feel the ''chilled air'' all around the casket that was coming from a cooling unit within the coffin. When Gene asked Vernon where Elvis was , Vernon replied , '' He's safe, Don't worry ,He's Upstairs resting. We had to put something on display for the fans ! '' ELVIS did NOT Die on August 16, 1977 ! NO ONE is actually buried there at the Meditation Garden in back of the Mansion. Only the top layer of sod was removed for the placement of the Bronze Memorial plaques ! Those are just there for the Fans and the Tourists. All of Elvis' family members that have done passed on are buried somewhere else in a undisclosed Private Cemetery and ELVIS IS Very Much STILL ALIVE ! He never really stopped making his music ! He has been recording and making music all this time .He just can''t release any of his songs using his real name anymore because of EPE,Inc. He has been using different alias ever since.Elvis Aron Presley is sometimes Jon Burrows and several other various ''alias''. He staged and faked his death with the help and knowledge of Col. Tom Parker, Dr. '' Nick '' , Joe Esposito , and the FBI by doing a '' Body Swap '' with a Terminal Bone Cancer patient Roscoe Scott Holloway of Germantown, TN of whom Dr. Nichopolous had located. After some minor cosmetic surgery they made Roscoe Scott Holloway look like Elvis, a ''double'' which fooled the Paramedics , the hospital personnel and most family members. Elvis, aka Jon Burrows, was a U.S. Special Federal Agent that worked undercover in various '' sting operations '' against known members of the SDS Weathermen Underground Terrorist Group. The SDS Weather Underground Terrorist Group was responsible for numerous multiple bombings of Police Departments ,Federal and State Court Houses and other public buildings during the 1960's and 1970's. Charles William ''Bill'' Ayers was the SDS Leader of the Weather Terrorist Group, along with his cohort Bernardine Rae Dohrn, was a personal friend and Mentor to a one Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Hussein Obama and it was the SDS Weathermen Underground Terrorist Group that put Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Hussein Obama into Politics and made him the Socialist Thug that he is and a threat to the Americanway of life as we know it. Elvis, aka Jon Burrows, the name he used working for the DEA and later for the FBI as a Special Federal Agent, was appointed by the former late President Richard M. Nixon and Elvis, aka Jon Burrows, worked as a Federal Agent from December 1970 until his official retirement in December 2004. In September 1978 , Elvis, aka Federal Agent Jon Burrows was the Government's '' Secret Witness '' in '' Operation Fountain Pen '' and He testified in Federal Court against a well known member of the Mafia Organized Crime Syndicate, a one Fredrick Peter Pro of the '' Fraternity '' In September 1977, Elvis, aka Federal Agent Jon Burrows, entered the Federal Witness Protection program where he stayed until July 1978. Then Agent Jon Burrows, aka Elvis, returned to Washington D.C. where he worked for the DEA and then later for the FBI Counter Intelligence Branch until his official Retirement in December 2004, and ending 34 years of dedicated Federal Service. Elvis, aka Jon Burrows was in the Federal Witness Protection program because of past threats made by members of the SDS Weathermen Underground Terrorist Group, Bill Ayers and past threats by certain key members of the Mafia Organized Crime Syndicate, of which Agent Burrows, aka Elvis took part in various undercover '' sting operations '' to indict and bring them to Justice. All these facts are told in a documentary interview that Elvis aka Jon Burrows, gave, recorded and released on a DVD in January 2012. Elvis, aka Jon Burrows, also recorded and released a brand new CD of 15 songs in January of 2012. Both have been voice printed and authenticated 100 % as the voice of Elvis Aron Presley by Computer Voice Analysts Technicians. Besides being a U.S. Federal Agent with the DEA and then later with the FBI , as appointed by the late former POTUS Richard M. Nixon on December 21, 1970 , Elvis was also a Bonded, Certified & Trained Deputy Sheriff with the Shelby County Sheriff's Dept. Memphis,TN, since September 23, 1964 and Chief Deputy since October 10, 1970 with Shelby County Sheriff's Dept .Elvis was also a Reserve Police Captain in the Memphis PD , a Reserve Police Captain with Denver PD and a Reserve Deputy Sheriff with the LA County Sheriff's Dept. He was nominated as One of the Top 10 Young Men in America by the American Jaycees on January 16, 1971, not for his work as a Entertainer, but for his dedication and work in Law Enforcement !! A Fulton County Deputy Sheriff , GA , was on location at a very well known Underground Wax Museum in Atlanta, Georgia on the week they were closing. Vernon Presley and a couple of the guys that work for Elvis came in and bought a lifelike life sized wax figure of Elvis, because it was all being auctioned off. They made the purchase and on the way out the door, Vernon Presley turned to the guy at the museum counter and said, " Just Wait 'til you guys see what we're going to do with this " ! AND this Is the TRUTH as told by Elvis himself !!! Elvis Presley Is Alive !!!
@B. W. Starkey..Are you telling me that Elvis is still alive to this day?!..Where did you get this information from?..Elvis would be 88 yrs old, I have been hearing these rumors for yrs about Elvis, & is Priscilla, & Lisa aware of this situation?..I am not saying yes, or no to this but, again how do you know this, & why aren't more ppl aware of this information?..If you read this please give me an understanding of your knowledge to this situation!..Thank you!
Elvis was not only a great entertainer, but most importantly, Elvis was a good man, devoted son, father, friend, and patriotic American.
He may have been all those things, but he was also a drug addict who slept with underage girls. Every person has their faults and their dark side so it’s no use pretending he was a saint. This is coming from a lifelong Elvis fan by the way.
Are you living proof that he slept with young girls.l, o.l
Yes he was. And it’s sad that so many that rode his coattails have been able to shape public opinion about him. Particularly Priscilla.

You should read Who murdered Elvis by Steve Ubaney with an open mind. The rabbit hole goes deeper than you think.
Elvis’ fans gave him all of this. That is why he always loved his fans.
He died of despair. If only his mother was alive Elvis is still with us.

Grata! .
You omitted the home that Elvis and Parcilla resided in, in Palm Springs, Ca. It was their Honeymoon home
The song My Babe is by Lil Walter and Covered by Rick Nelson…💯💯💯
Элвис, мы тебя любим и помним, ты в наших сердцах!!!💖💖💖🎸🎸🎸🎹🎼

Tomato fight. Afraid you are correct on this. But he still loved his father. Was different then. Women served the men.
1:00:54 ,Talk about not ageing, this lady takes the cake.
19:42 just heard the piano is going to auction ,estimate is 1mil
The one thing that made elvis sound different was that "ECHO"effect and that got everyone's attention and wanting too know who is this "ELVIS"Presley. The rest is history.Next witness!!
MANY ARTISTS USED THE " ECHO EFFECT" BUT THEY DIDN'T HAVE ELVIS' VOCAL ABILITIES COMBINED WITH HIS CHARISMA AND HIS TALENT!
That echo effect was Sam Phillips slap back delay that he did. He ran what he recorded back into the recorder and it created a nice single echo which made it more full sounding. Scotty Moore said it himself.

Elvis is still ALIVE !! That was NOT Elvis in that casket !
It was a Wax Dummy !
That is what was in the 900 lb Copper Casket along with a
battery powered portable cooling unit to keep the Wax from melting.Everyone that
observed the '' body '' in the coffin noticed that the forehead had '' beads of moisture ''.
Gene Smith, Elvis's 1st cousin, said that the Sideburns had been glued on
and kept coming loose! Gene also stated that one could feel the ''chilled air''
all around the casket that was coming from a cooling unit within the coffin.
When Gene asked Vernon where Elvis was , Vernon replied , '' He's safe,
Don't worry ,He's Upstairs resting. We had to put something on display for
the fans ! '' ELVIS did NOT Die on August 16, 1977 ! NO ONE is actually buried
there at the Meditation Garden in back of the Mansion. Only the top layer of
sod was removed for the placement of the Bronze Memorial plaques !
Those are just there for the Fans and the Tourists. All of Elvis' family members
that have done passed on are buried somewhere else in a undisclosed Private
Cemetery and ELVIS IS Very Much STILL ALIVE ! He never really stopped making
his music !
After some minor cosmetic surgery they made Roscoe Scott Holloway look like Elvis, a ''double'' which fooled
the Paramedics , the hospital personnel and most family members. Elvis, aka Jon Burrows, was a U.S. Special Federal Agent that worked undercover in various '' sting operations '' against known members of the SDS Weathermen Underground Terrorist Group. The SDS Weather Underground Terrorist Group was responsible for numerous multiple bombings of Police Departments ,Federal and State Court Houses and other public buildings during the 1960's
and 1970's. Charles William ''Bill'' Ayers was the SDS Leader of the Weather Terrorist Group, along with his cohort Bernardine Rae Dohrn, was a personal friend and Mentor to a one Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Hussein Obama and it was the SDS Weathermen Underground
Terrorist Group that put Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Hussein Obama into Politics and made him the Socialist Thug that he is and a threat to the Americanway of life as we know it. Elvis, aka Jon Burrows, the name he used working for the DEA and later for the FBI as a Special Federal Agent, was appointed by the former late President Richard M. Nixon and Elvis, aka Jon Burrows, worked as a Federal Agent from December 1970 until his official retirement
in December 2004.
Elvis, aka Jon Burrows was in the Federal Witness Protection program because of past threats made by members of the SDS Weathermen Underground Terrorist Group, Bill Ayers and past threats by certain key
members of the Mafia Organized Crime Syndicate, of which Agent Burrows, aka Elvis took part in various undercover '' sting operations '' to indict and bring them to Justice. Federal Agent with the DEA and then later with the FBI ,
as appointed by the late former POTUS Richard M.
