      It's really the information and delivery for me, Jimmy brings a very out-of-the-box analysis. That's why it's high exposure and monetized so well, cause ESPN or major sports outlet probably cannot deliver a content like this

      That's not entirely fair. He's got great athleticism to go with his build, and he's a very good passer and defender.
      Thing is, when you're a point guard and opposing players just... Back away when you have the ball on the outside, you're probably doing something wrong.

      feels like these guys have never watched him play, he is an elite defender and is among the best in the league at getting to the rim. you have to have a certain type of player to even hope to slow down simmons, which most teams in the league dont.
      he obviously has diva tendencies, after all guys like jimmy have been on his bandwagon since he was in high school so what do you expect? 76ers are dumb af for how they handled him, what rivers said was moronic, maybe you say that about a mental giant like phil would say things like that bout kobe, but damn with someone frail as ben you have to be more gentle. thats like getting pissed that your ferrari breaks down after you slip shift, like why are you fucking with that car??

      @Grant Newman lucky in the sense they got a player who was willing to put in the work. Giannis when he first came into the league, also didnt have any special talents. He wasnt a generational player, seriously lacked range and was very 1 dimensional. But seeing him progress to a guaranteed Hall of Famer proves that drafting and developing is still viable. I was at the game 7 against Atlanta last year where Simmons passed the ball instead of dunking. I was sitting no more than 30 ft away and even before that it was obvious the entire game, but especially the 4th quarter, that Simmons didn't want any part of having the ball in his hands when they needed a basket. The second after he passed that ball, there was a feeling throughout the entire arena that Simmons just played his last game as a Sixer and GOOD RIDDANCE!! We gave that dude YEARS of patience waiting for him to just attempt shooting the damn ball but he never did. Then had the nerve to try and make it seem like Philly fans are to blame for why he can't play in Philly anymore. Softest professional athlete I've ever witnessed

      That’s the problem of this video. There is no obligation for him to be a better basketball player, even he has signed big deals. The team decided to offer him that amount because that was his value according to the team. They put the multi-year contract on the table and no one forced them to do it. Whatever happens on Simmons and his contribution, the team management itself should take the consequence.

    Your statement on the trading is very interesting. What your describing is common in football (soccer) all the time. The player decides when they want to leave or if they want to leave, managers can’t force them but can encourage. If a player leaves before their contract ends then there’s a transfer fee. So to me this is basic rights for athletes. They’ve been doing this

      It’s weird for us Americans because in our biggest sports (football and basketball) this is a relatively new thing. It still doesn’t happen in the NFL but it’s definitely becoming more popular in the NBA. The biggest issues with the trend in American sports is that our leagues have salary caps, so teams aren’t able to just buy a player who may want to move/get more money. Salary caps are good for balancing leagues but hard for athlete mobility.

    Starts out appreciative, then more needy, and by the end of it, he’s demanding and entitled.
    We see this with shitty kids and people all of the time. Being nice with some people unfortunately won’t work out, because if they’re selfish like this, they’ll just keep taking and taking without a care about anybody else.

    The most overinflated ego in the nba. I’d take Donovan Mitchell any day of the week over Simmons. The real rookie of the year who is humble and works his tail off. Nothing like Ben.

    •  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Well that's also on his own mental makeup and character. A mentally strong player would take that moment and breathe it in, and use it as fuel to work his ass off and bust that favorite player next season. Ben Simmons is not like this.

    He woulda been a generational talent if he had a work ethic.

    • @3-methylindole730
      @3-methylindole730 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What talent? Potential yes, but his work ethic prevents him from benefitting off his potential, he still can't shoot and then we see news like he doesn't want to participate in drills, etc. It just seems like he doesn't appreciate how lucky he is having gotten the opportunity to suit up as an NBA player, a chance only VERY few aspiring basketball players will get in their lives. He's given the opportunity to make something great but he's showing he doesn't appreciate him being in this situation. Strange.

    • @jasonmcneal8149
      @jasonmcneal8149 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Mitchell is def a better player that has obviously improved every year (I love his game). But tbh Ben did average 16/8/8 his rookie year. It truly was a close race and either one was worthy. NOW.....no one in their right mind would take Simmons over Spider
