VIA Rail trains 71 and 97 (Amtrak 64) on detour passing through Brampton on Saturday morning, November 30, 2024. VIA 71 is headed by Siemens Charger set 2301/2202 and Amtrak by P42 124.
@@TheRonto76 Ah nice, I've been meaning to catch the old trainsets before they're retired for good. But I keep getting busy or making excuses to head out.
Hey Amtrak you’re going the wrong way😂 New York is the other way man, and on the wrong track too, you’re supposed to be on the lakeshore line west heading towards Niagara 😂. Do you need google maps 😂
Are the old Via trainsets now retired on this route?
Not at this point. The Charger sets presently operate Tuesday/Wednesday and Friday/Saturday. Older consists continue the rest of the week.

what line is it detouring on?
Metrolinx Weston and CN Halton Subs due to trackwork on the Metrolinx Oakville Sub.

It'll reconnect to the CN Oakville/Grimsby sub at Burlington West just before the Aldershot station, only forcing them to skip Oakville.
