Zum 6. Mal kommt dieser Megamarsch nach Berlin und jeder kann Berlin auf eine ganz neue Weise kennenlernen.
Es ist der kleine Bruder des Megamarsches, man kann schon von einer Wanderung die Hälfte auf dieser Strecke in 12 Stunden schreiben. Das heißt also, 50 km in 12 Stunden! Es ist ein optimaler Einstieg für diese Challenge, aber 50 km sind keinesfalls ein Katzensprung, sondern eine große Leistung!
Viele wandern in seinem Leben nicht einmal 40km am Stück und da bekommt man beim Megamarsch 50/12 eine Urkunde ab 2. Verpflegungsstation und wenn man bis ins Ziel schafft, erhält jeder zusätzlich zur Urkunde eine Erinnerungsmedaille.
Überraschend waren einige gehörlose Teilnehmer aus Erfurt, Berlin und sogar aus Hamburg (selbst taubblind) sowie ihr gehörloser Assistent aus Nordrhein-Westfalen dabei, für mich war das schön...
Anfangs war ein wenig regnerisch, später bewölkt und am Ende teils mit Sonnenschein - alles war gut aufgestellt! Deshalb ein großes Dankeschön an alle, die für Megamarsch Berlin durchgeführt haben und an allen Finishern herzliche Glückwünsche!
1167 Teilnehmer waren am Start und zum Ziel kamen 1078 an - eine super Zahl!!

Mix of sun and clouds on this 50km hike in Berlin
This mega march is coming to Berlin for the 6th time and everyone can get to know Berlin in a completely new way.
It is the little brother of the mega march; you can do half of a hike on this route in 12 hours. So that means 50 km in 12 hours! It's an ideal start to this challenge, but 50 km is by no means a stone's throw, but a great achievement!
Many people don't even hike 40 km in one go in their life and with the Mega March 50/12 you get a certificate from the second aid station and if you make it to the finish, everyone receives a commemorative medal in addition to the certificate.
Surprisingly, there were some deaf participants from Erfurt, Berlin and even from Hamburg (themselves deaf-blind) as well as their deaf assistant from North Rhine-Westphalia, which was nice for me...
At first it was a little rainy, later cloudy and at the end there was some sunshine - everything was in good shape! So a big thank you to everyone who performed for Megamarsch Berlin and congratulations to all finishers!
1167 participants were at the start and 1078 arrived at the finish - a great number!
