New Stelco ownership says employees have 'nothing to fear'

The CEO of Cleveland Cliffs says his company is nothing like US Steel, who bought Stelco in 2007 and slashed jobs despite a promise not to. Amid concerns from local union leaders, Lourenco Goncalves says no unionized jobs will be eliminated at Stelco during the first five years of operation and says an expansion of operations and more jobs is possible. Goncalves says there is a market for Stelco-made Coke in the U-S and he intends to keep the Coke plants in operation until 2029.
