Hi Clare and Andrew, The ruined building next to the Grand Hotel, was formerly a theatre where I have seen many shows. The basement you saw was the largest indoor swimming pool at the time, under the theatre. Also Happy Valley up the Orme used to have an outdoor seated theatre with shows every day in the summer. The host and compere was a Scottish comedian called Alex Monroe whose catch phrase was " the size of it". Punch and Judy was performed by Professor Bert Codman, the family still run it today. Enjoyed re living Llandudno with you, happy memories in the 50's and 60's safe travels !
Took my dad to Llandudno 2 yrs ago, quite literally a week before he died. Both him and my stepmum had booked a weeks holiday for Christmas and he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in mid August. They cancelled the holiday, so I took them for a weekend ( Friday- Sunday) Dad loved Llandudno. For me it was my first time there. Bittersweet memories watching your video, but very enjoyable 😉😉

Even when the weather is bad you can still knock out a good video. And very brave of you to say the pier is the fith longest in England, I'm surprised St David didn't arise and slap you round the chops with a leek. Now to the most important part of the video; jam or cream. The correct way is slice the scone in half as you did, forget the butter it's not necessary, gently spread the jam then scoop a huge dollop of cream and let it sit victoriously on top of the jam, no need to spread it, if you must play with your food gently ease the peak down to the edge of the scone to stop it sliding off the jam, if the jam is of the poor quality runny type. Do it this correct way and you will receive a warm welcome in Cornwall
Just found you guys and to say I'm slightly addicted to your channel..new to campervaning.. we have been all over lake district in independent sites and park4night, best thing ever

Llandudno pier is not the 5th longest in England as Landudno is in Wales. Love all your videos, well presented and great fun, if occasionally factually incorrect. 🤣🤣
Also, if you go around the back of the orme there’s a secret car park. If you turn left up a bumpy road not long after the half way cafe, I’m sure nobody would bother you if it was just a couple of nights in a camper.
I know you two are great but getting Dame Judy Dench on the voice over is a master stroke 😂😂

It's a lovely pier, shame about the weather! I agree with Claire, def jam then cream but no butter! Hope the drone is OK but it was funny 😂 sorry!
It’s fine, just about 😂😂
The wind literally. blew us off our feet when walking along the esplanade. In Devon jam first then cream, in Cornwall it is cream first.
👍👍
Other way round. Don’t ever put cream first in Cornwall. I’m sure this is a joke 😂😂😂
Jam then cream great video love Llandudno.

Claire loves a mash up...oh yeah 🤙🤙
Proper tea must be mashed ☕️👍
I'm with Claire.
Team claire 🥇
Andy is 100% cream 1st jam
What the ??? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Also, if you go around the back of the orme there’s a secret car park. If you turn left up a bumpy road not long after the half way cafe, I’m sure nobody would bother you if it was just a couple of nights in a camper.
We did a little drive around the day after. It was beautiful 👍👍👍
