I enjoyed the movie very much. The stuff with Rocket and his friends was only rough for me because I lost a pet not even two weeks ago, and yeah, anything to do with losing family in that respect is hard. As for the Evolutionary - I heard he was supposed to be the "darkest" villain ever portrayed in the MCU, and honestly, he was just another Thanos. Like everything Thanos was said to do off camera, this guy does on camera.
The movie had a great mix of flash forward and flashback that drives home the themes of this story. I was able to attend a Marathon so it became so impactful but also a great way to do character analysis. I realized how well and consistent each character was portrayed throughout the movies, making it all feel genuine. As a Rocket fan, I was so emotional of his story arc because you can see that GOTG, although Quill is assumes to be the lead, saw Rocket as its true main character.
I agree with a lot of Andre's points. All the Rocket stuff was 10/10, but I wish some of the other scenes weren't so emotionally manipulative (they really made that one thing seem fatal). Still a good time
I loved this movie, and it made me cry. One of my favorite things about it: its finality. It was, and was allowed to be, the end of the story of the Guardians of the Galaxy. This was part three of the trilogy, and it's an S-tier Marvel movie.
I loved this movie in every single way and at the same time it took me on several emotional rollercoasters that thankfully I was slightly prepared for (I had several tissues in my purse and used them all). I don't blame James Gunn for milking some moments because each time he did it was stunning. And yeah, CG animals making me cry so much. I loved that the post credit scenes were self-contained in this movie and didn't feel the need to set up Kang or anything along those lines.
No lie, James Gunn really knocked it outta the park with this movie! Without going into spoilers, the High Evolutionary character reminded me of a black Tim Curry.
@@ebransc09 I agree completely. If it's bad, even if it's only to the reviewer, I'm okay with that. It's just that now a days they always have to find something negative to say about every movie to garner clicks. I intentionally skip ambiguously bad thumbnails for that reason. Like sometimes they're predicting it'll be decisive and wants to nitpick even the most reasonable things just in case. It's okay to just like things, guys.
just saw it. Second day after release. I loved The Guardians franchise. Rocket was the one that introduced me to the comics back when he was a playable character in Marvel vs Capcom 3. So I had to get the comics and 6 months later the movie was announced. Saw the first movie 3 times, the second once and this new one blew me away. It was an excellent close to the series. Surprisingly NO ONE talked over the movie, which you usually get in Marvel movies.
i just saw the film and loved it. it was this palette cleanser it needed after the disappointment that is "quantumania" as it just has a lot happening and bigger stakes.
Hot off the tails of what I thought was a new low for Marvel (Quantumania), they drop one of their best in my opinion! James Gunn really did an amazing job and the whole production (sets, cinematography, vfx, etc) is just on another level from what they've been putting out lately. I liked the other Guardians movies but this made me want to watch them again asap. Great characters, great conclusion. LOVED it
Loved the movie just wished to see a rocket meets Groot memory and man they really should have introduced Adam warlock earlier so he really deserved a second chance. Regardless 9/10
I loved the film! I want torewatch all the Guardians movies and then go see it again! James Gunn is such a special creative who, unironically and without hyperbole, makes me believe in human beings so much more than before I watch his films. Or at least, reinforces my hope for humanity. He is such a genuine storyteller.
I left the Theater and thought it was great. I agree with your take on the lengths of some of the s scenes. The HE could have used some Xanax or maybe an ambien. 😆
I wonder how that guy who got James Gan fired feels now knowing that the person that he got fired made one DC film and I was so good that now he’s going to be the Kevin foggy of DC now
If u click “read more” it’s a lite spoiler but I’m not gonna ruin the movie (if u wanna go in blind don’t click). When a certain character says “I love you guys” I said out loud “Aw I’m gonna cry🥹.” Gonna miss this crew. Very curious for the future.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is perfect💯.. i have zero critiques. Marvel movies that don’t build the universe are the best ones because they’re grounded (in an action movie way).
i cant wait for this movie i love these characters so much it so sad that this is the final movie with the guardians but i can wait i be seen it tomorrow
Wow, nice, Andre! 😀👍🏽 I’m going to watch the movie next week. I was originally intended to watch it on it’s opening day tomorrow, but I moved it to next week (I’ll tell you the day soon).
I'm going to watch it for a second time. I came out of theaters and this was definitely one of the best trilogy Marvel movies so far that has been released. I definitely cried so much as a hufflepuff because I love animals and the experimintation just really was hard for me to handle. Rocket is my favorite from the GotG so ot was great to know his story
I’m watching this video muted, no closed caps. I don’t know much about the algorithm, but I am giving my views to this video now since I’ve yet to watch GOTG3.
I loved it but I had a guy in front of me who was either on his phone or running over to where his kids was sitting to talk to them instead of just watching the movie
I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy 3 yesterday and I really enjoyed it! I did feel the movie did Adam Warlock a little dirty though. He seemed to be thrown in there and not really important to the story at all. I mean if you took him out of the movie, it wouldn't have been that noticeable. And I am a huge fan of the character in the comics. So, for me to say that his absence wouldn't have been noticeable in the movie is saying something.
I saw the movie on Saturday. I prefer the first GOTG movie. But this one still has enough of the action, offbeat charm, hilarity and heart we come to expect from these characters. In terms of tonal balance, it’s perhaps the most even in delivering laughs and emotionally intense stakes in an MCU entry since Spider Man No Way Home. We Are Groot

I'm glad that Disney allowed James Gunn back to properly wrap up the Guardians of the Galaxy Trilogy.

Almost every rocket flashback scene got me in my feels

This is why Andre is the only reviewer I trust now. Seems like all the others have become jaded and cynical.
That or they feel the need to disparage something because of who made it, or the genre fatigue, or blah..

Man, what a roller-coaster of emotions 10 out 10
The Kraglin/Cosmo subplot felt so petty. It’s good for the levity but BOY were they petty
