      Just recently watched two videos on Low Buck Garage. This guy bought a non running 1970 short bed four wheel drive and got it running. Realy solid truck appears to need a new cluch . Thing has a five speed manual@@Nicksvintageiron

    A friend of my family had a 1960's yellow travelall then upgraded to a 70's green one like this pickup. Used as a tow vehicle which it was great for.

    You might have committed on this and I just missed it, but in 1975 did the 200 indicate that it was a 3/4 ton . Just curious, thanks for sharing your video.

    Dad bought that truck in 96. It was in the trader paper no pictures. It came from Muncie IN. The term “barn find” wasn’t invented yet but it truly was. In todays world it had perfect patina but that’s not my dads style now nor then. The gauge cluster was missing and we had a 69 parts truck, hence the difference in dashes. Got a repaint, put on a trailer and went to their Montana cabin. I used this truck many times. It was my welding rig building bridges to cross snowmelt streams up and down the mountain they lived on. Good truck in good hands, glad you have and good to see it again.

      I love this truck. And it juat plane works like it's supposed to. I'm very grateful that just a question on a cub cadet forum turned into me buying it! I really wish I didn't miss out on your grandpas travelette tho...

    That truck is beautiful. Nice crewcab dually at the beginning as well. Smokes a bit on start up are valve guide seals. At almost 50 years old, I would leave it alone. Great purchase and investment. They are becoming very collectible.

    • @Nicksvintageiron
      @Nicksvintageiron  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks. I've had and have many of them. The engine will stay as is until it really needs something. The little smoke on start up is minor.

      That one in particular should be kept as original as possible, since that was the last year for production. She's among the last of her kind, sadly.
      Interestingly, I buy supplies for my semi truck at my local International dealership, and I ask almost every time I go in there when they're gonna bring the light line back. The guys at the parts counter say that I would be surprised at how many people ask the same thing.
      Those old Corn Binders will ALWAYS have a special place in MY heart, since my great uncle had a 1966 stepside three quarter ton- old Black Diamond six with a four-speed stick and two wheel drive.
      She lasted 20 years being used predominantly as a farm truck, and even in its last years, you could slug the fender as hard as you could and break every bone in your hand without leaving a mark on it.

      @@leehuff2330 My father had a 66 3/4 straight bed with the straight 6 and the “Three on the Tree”. Used as a farm truck as well. He bought it with a rusted out bed, took a welding course and offered his truck and supplies as a project. It wasn’t pretty but functional and strong. Being from the mid-Atlantic region, the IH pickups didn’t do well with the salt roads. His mother my grandmother had nothing but IH Scouts to show farm properties as she was a realtor.

    Cool international pickup truck 1975 was the last year of pickup trucks before it was discontinued to focus more on commercial vehicles over the road medium duty trucks etc
