You did it! Not only every task in the fish bowl, but all the videos and editing every dang day, even when you were sick. You rocked this challenge, and I’m super impressed. 🤩👍
I so appreciate your vulnerability. This series was very inspiring. I hope that others can appreciate that people's uniqueness is a blessing, not something to be judged and criticized. I love that you set boundaries for positivity for your channel. This is the type of community I want to be a part of!
I'm going to miss these daily vlogmas videos. Every day, I couldn't wait for you to upload a new video! Your pantry and whole house is looking awesome!
I have a deep pantry like this and my aunt bought me some clear bins to put stuff in and it has been a game changer bc now I pull things out like a drawer. So much easier to access.
I’m not even done watching this episode yet but I had to jump in and say I absolutely relate to everything you are saying about your pantry! I do the same dang thing with the sauce packets. I organize and clean out and then it just starts getting crazy again because life happens. You’re so honest and I love how transparent you are. I accidentally discovered this channel and am so happy I did. I can’t wait for the office series. You’re doing great!!
“Should do, and will do” 11:21 are two different things. Gotta pick your battles. For the amount of mental anguish this causes you, it’s worth the $6 for caulk and to feel less “ick” about the kitchen. 🤷🏼♀️ my 2 cents. As a long time renter, I FEEL ya!!❤
I agree - feeling better about her kitchen also can translate to more homemade meals and a cleaner more organized space since the caulk seems to be a catalyst.
I am fortunate now after 25 years of living in tiny kitchens that I now have a decent sized kitchen. However, the house we bought was a rental for many years with little care of the home. I get your rant on that! I think your doing awesome with the space you have.
Seriously the best vlogmas series I’ve ever seen. And I may do the fishbowl decluttering roulette on my channel after the new year. I love that idea! ❤
I totally get the take out packets. Have done the same thing, just thinking its wasteful and that we will use them again (which we don't). So I get where you are coming from.
So much better in those cabinets. You did great. I'm going to miss these daily vlogs. Will be happy to see your car and drop off's all done. Merry Christmas
Great job! Love this series. So helpful because I think a little like you too. I would move the backstop behind the oatmeal and bread baskets with the RiceARoni moving spaghetti to the bottom shelf. To access backstock just grab a basket. This will keep your baskets front and center and unable to be pushed to the back. The bags below can move to backstocks old area with your honey. Thanks for sharing, can't wait for the next video. 🎉
We had a great bread box on the counter but for some reason since it had a lid, it was where bread went to die inside and then we just stacked the good bread on top 🤣
I have loved this series! Awesome job to you! Great motivation for me! If everyone is honest with themselves they would admit they have their own challenges and stop judging others! Merry Christmas to you and your family! 😊❤
You won Vlogmas this year in my opinion! You created such a down to earth relatable series. Thank you for sharing this glimpse into your life! Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family.
😂😂😂😂 Your face after tasting the wine! I really did laugh out loud. Great job on the pantry! Pantries are a hot zone for most families I think. Almost impossible to keep neat and organized. I'm constantly rearranging mine. I'm very lucky to have a walk in pantry so I can't complain but it does take maintenance to keep it from getting out of control. Thanks again for the laugh. Hugs. ❤
I love watching you and relate so much! This was my favorite vlogmas I’ve watched and was so excited get to see so many new videos from you! Thank you for showing up and getting it all done even when you were so sick. Can’t wait to see your 2025 content and watch your decluttering journey. It’s going to be so worthwhile!
I just started watching you and have binged your Vlogmas. I just wanted to say that it is good to block anyone who is unkind. You are being very vulnerable and honest and deserve support and respect. Your choices belong to you and you are doing a good job. Your family seems happy and well loved. Keep up the good work.
The condiment packet dance: hoard, purge, hoard, purge round and round we go. Only difference is mine rotate through a small box in my refrigerator and are not allowed to overflow! Great video!
Such an honest and awesome video- I love your willingness to be open and I totally agree that NO ONE NEEDS TO JUDGE 😏 You are doing amazing and I have loved this series so much!!!!! 😍👏🏻👍🏻❤️
Oh my gosh! This is so fabulous, that pantry looks truly functional. 👏👏👏 I did love to hear your thoughts on other cupboards in the kitchen, those beautiful teal baskets - one on the fridge with your things may work and look lovely!
My smoothie/protein stuff was in one of those bins on the counter and now it’s above the fridge. It’s a little hard for me to reach but it looks better than the cereal!
Condiment packets are useful to have & I hate to waste them too! Its great because I don’t have to purchase as much ketchup, taco sauce & BBQ sauce. I just keep them in a bin in the door of the fridge to easily access. Your pantry turned out great!! You could always put the salad toppers in the bread bin to free up a little more space on that shelf. Plus, I think you logically zoned your pantry to optimize its functionality.
I have really enjoyed watching this series. Many people save the condiments from fast food restaurants. I am sure that it feels better having gotten these jobs done! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year❤
Love this series. I had the same small space for my kitchen for the longest time back when the internet wasn’t a thing. I wish I could have watched this back then!
I just loved this vlogmas! I think its very helpful to hear and see your thought process. Its so relatable to what we all experience when tackling our owns closets, cupboards, and boxes! You dont have things already decided, perfect containers already purchased, and talking points already scripted. You mentioned a goal of less take out food. I bet that will become easier as you continue to declutter and organize the kitchen. Thank you for these videos!
It definitely is nicer to cook in our kitchen now that even the pantry is done and we cleaned off the counters before we had people over for Christmas. Having a clean kitchen definitely motivates us to want to cook at home more!
Keeping all the sauce is super relatable! Many of us do things like that! For me I used to always keep the unused birthday candles from the package even though I like getting fresh candles for each birthday. We all do funny things until we figure it out. So relatable! Enjoying this series, btw. New and loving your channel!
I had a drawer in my fridge with these kind of sauces. And the reason was exactly yours! I hope people feel seen and connected with your awesome Videos. You are so relatable! Thank you for that! Jerry Happy Holidays to you and your Family! Hugs from Germany 🤗
I walk into my kitchen and look around and think I should clean it but I just walk back out 😂😂I love you, you don’t care and that is a good attitude to have and I will look forward to your next vlogs. Merry Christmas ❤❤
From another long term renter - use the cabinet doors if 3m strips stick to them. 3m little clear spice rack type 'shelves' they do have sides like a bowl. They are great for any bottles especially if you have deep shelves. Also if you dont like where it is, they move easily. I've used the same ones in several apartments now.
I have really enjoyed watching these. It’s such a great idea that I am thinking of doing it for myself as sometimes looking at the house as a whole is so overwhelming. You did a brilliant job with the pantry and I am so glad that you put the packets of pasta behind the bread lol, I was mentally telling you to do that, in fact I was almost shouting it out loud 😂😂 Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas 🎄🎅🏻💕
i put the sauce packets in the fridge door. then I see them and use them more often. I do occasionally trash them because I don't know how old they are. as for the caulking, I thought you should do it yourself. then you explained your thoughts, which I understand. but if it helps your mental health, costs only a few bucks, and you're good at it, to me it sounds worth it.
The wine thing at the end had me cracking up! 😂 I think the pantry turned out great. Some good suggestions in the comments I won’t repeat. This has been fun, thank you!
is this my favourite series? YES. do i fully support your deletion of negative comments? YES. am i doing that thing, where i ask and answer questions? SURE AM. 😂🎉❤ thanks for your dedication to this series 🔍📦🧺🧽🗑️
Girl you did it! Didn’t miss a day of vlogmas even while sick and having two little boys at home during the holidays! (I know we still have the car clean out tomorrow) and once this is done done, enjoy a glass of GOOD wine!
I think this series you are almost at 6000 subs so wow has been so great because this is how many of our homes & cupboards are too. It is hard to motivate ourselves to do these jobs that are not fun. But once you do them you do see the rewards & you feel more peaceful about your home. Nothing motivates me more then when you know someone is coming over lol Thanks for being so honest & showing so much it is hard to be so open & I hope most people are being kind!
Looks a ton better!!! Congrats! I totally agree with you when you say doing one area wants to snowball into the entire kitchen. I did mine recently, it all started with 1 cupboard and now literally everything has moved to a different place 😅 but I do love it!
Guuuurl! You should have seen my bathroom caulking!!! I was shocked and appalled. I immediately scraped it all off and sealed it with the right CAULKing lol I emphasize it too. There was mold growing in my bathroom! I couldn't and I took photos and they offered to take $$ off the rent for my labor
If ur going to be there for a few more years & that kitchen haunts u have u thought of getting the old caulk off n redo it? U would benefit from it & maybe u can get some money off ur rent?
They would never, and I wouldn’t even want to tell them I did it. But so many people are encouraging me to just redo the caulking myself it’s really making have to sit in my feelings to understand why I’m so against it, why I feel so angry and hurt by the idea of redoing the caulking myself 😂 Obviously it has nothing to do with the actual caulking and something deeper that I need to therapy out of me 🤪
@Jamie_Chaotic i can understand that. You really shouldn't have to... but if it makes you feel better and want to be in the kitchen, maybe just redo it for you. And the next renters. It really isn't your responsibility but it would help you feel better ❤️❤️❤️
You could put the back stock in the back of the shelves of the pantry or you could set up a small space in the garage for backstroke. You're doing great with a nonfunctional tiny kitchen. I get how you feel. My last place was similar.
You did it Bestie!!! 🎉 You should be very proud of yourself. You accomplished so much in a rather short period of time. You have definitely inspired me to do a "fish bowl" of my own. And, you made a new Bestie along the way! Win Win! 🏆 😆
Fellow neurospicy person here: You’re doing amazing! We also used to have a tendency to collect packets to make our own sauce packet museum. I’ve loved watching this series and listening to you as you declutter.
Can I just say that I absolutely love the drawing that you have next to your family picture on the refrigerator!! That is so freaking cute, I would frame it and put it in my dining room when you get tired of seeing it on your fridge.
I have never made a comment on this or any other channel. I think more people can relate to keeping sauce packets than you think. I would be more surprised by a house that didn't have any! I am quite minimal and I still have a collection. You never know when you might need it. LOL
I’m going to miss this series! About the sauce packets, I feel like the least productive thing one can do is judge (ourselves & others) on those things and I love how you subconsciously look forward into new habbits you want to create and shift rather than spiral in the bad thoughts and comments! Very inspiring :)
Hi Jamie, you deserve a well maintained home. I have been a renter and a landlord. Landlords need to give renters what they would expect for themselves, and renters can then make their rentals their home, even temporarily, rant over. I assure you the shelf liner is not from the nineties, I have the same liner in some drawers, and I'm almost positive it's from Dollar Tree, or Walmart and that it is still stocked. As for the pantry press board raw edges, there is this plastic u-shaped stuff you can buy, like at Home Depot, very easily cut with a knife or scissors, and it just pops on, it's cheap and wipeable, I've done it myself in a rental, worth it for your sanity. Also, you might be happy getting a bit of that super thick contact paper meant for counters...it's a project, but depending how long you're going to be there, it would really give those counters a face lift. You don't have a ton of counter space, so you wouldn't need to buy a lot. Not trying to give unsolicited advice, but more like sharing ideas. You've done awesome, and it must feel so good getting that pantry done!
I just wanted to offer a few suggestions. Two ideas are that your cupboards are so deep that you could use a large bin in the back of the cupboard for the backstock. I do this on my lower cabinet and I place all my backstock there. Also, just for your peace of mind, it may be worth investing in those plastic sliding inserts they can be put on even with tape. I don't know if I'm even making sense right now, but this way you could pull it out and see what's in the back. I can't do this with my cupboards because of the lip on the side, but I think it could be really beneficial for you. Just some simple ideas.
Amazing job as usual, its frustrating how small your kitchen is and that its a rental. Great job with what you were given. Those fast food packets, I feel that, they take over a shelf on the door of our fridge, and we never use them. Throwing them out right now! Couple of suggestions (totally up to you of course), maybe bread in the fridge, thats where we keep it, stays fresh longer. Then use the bread basket for rice and pasta. big basket for the backstop to make it easier to grab, could try in the very top like you suggested. Last suggestion swap the bottom two shelves, so its easier for you to get to. Weird little cupboard that you can only reach the bottom shelf, will your smoothie stuff fit there? Loving this series of yours! Such progress and motivation!
We kept bread in the microwave. Easy to remove to use the microwave. We kept skillets in the oven as well as our stock pot. They were used daily, but could be put away to make the kitchen look neat.
Well done Jamie the pantry looks great now you ve inspired me to do some of my bomb shell areas ie kitchen cupboards and under stairs area shoes everywhere! I have so enjoyed this vlogmas possibly my favourite I hope you are going to continue after Christmas you are so honest and funny , have a great Christmas and a very merry New Year xxx 🎄😁❤️🇬🇧🐕🐈⬛
I have a drawer in the fridge loaded with fast food sauces, ketchup, etc. Keep them in there until the drawer won't shut (about a year) then toss them. I totally understand! 😂🤣 Love watching you. You're like a friend I can relate to. Love your humor.
I love all the teal/turquouse in your house. It's funny because I love teal, I love your channel and it has teal, and I love Mack from Midwest Magic and he loves teal too. So there is something about teal 😅
I have absolutely been loving this series!!! You've done a great job tackling areas that are so easy to procrastinate on! I'm going to point something out, but I promise its not said with even a smidge of unkindness. You have beautiful storage in the dining room, and I know it holds vintage treasures. It *could* also be used as an extended pantry. You'd just have to prioritize it as such and be more ruthless in purging what's in there. I'm not saying you *should*. Sometimes, when I get annoyed about the lack of storage in my house I go back to the Dana K White container concept. I can keep anything, I just can't keep everything. What I keep in the spaces I have is up to me. When I choose to keep a ton of beverages in my pantry space, I have less space for food. For some reason when I realized that, I stopped getting mad that my food was crammed in a little space because I realized I choose to make something else the priority. I don't know if that makes any sense, but it changed my outlook, and maybe it will change yours. Or maybe you'll clear a lower cabinet of the hutch and make it back stock. 🤷♀ I'll commiserate on the size and age of the kitchen... that sucks. The only other suggestion I have is to not decant things like cereal and baking goods. The original containers usually take up less space, and then you never have the inevitable issue where you have the container *and* a box or bag. I'm a fan of using chip clips on cereal bags inside the boxes. And for sugar, I just put the original sugar or flour bag in a ziplock. One day you'll get a bigger place and can decant til your heart's content but every square inch in this kitchen is precious. I didn't read comments yet, but I'd have hid the candy behind the snack basket 😉 and freed up the area for something else. You'll eventually figure out the best layout for stuff in this kitchen... just in time to move somewhere else and have none of those systems work in the new kitchen 😅 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
Question. Could you put a door bumper on the wall to keep the pantry door from turning off your light? I can appreciate your kitchen situation…I feel your pain. Love the honesty of your videos
Great job! Two suggestions to consider:maybe move the lazy Susan in front of the back stock items. Also, I’d keep the bread and oatmeal bins even more forward so stuff doesn’t get put in front of it. Happy holidays!
Happy Holidays to you and your family, been loving watching your vlogmas as I am going through a difficult holiday season, I look forward to it every day ❤ 🎄🎁
Thank you so much for the tip about the freezer. I need to do this when I get a new bag that won’t fit into my air tight container. Jamie confirmed why she doesn’t use the vintage containers - need to be air tight.
You should be very proud of what you have accomplished. We all have our little quirks so please stop beating yourself up. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas.
How about attaching a stop to the wall (like a doorstop) next to the light switch. If it sticks out just a little further than the light, it will keep the door from turning the light off. Maybe a to-do for next year. Alson cleaning the frig just before watching, I found a bunch of little packets - no idea how old! 😅
The fact that you’re drinking a glass of infused jalapeño wine at 2:30 p.m. as an reward… love it! 🎉 Hope you’ve found something better tasting afterwards because you deserved it after your pantry-workout. Your series helped me with my procrastination projects around the house. Thanks! Happy holidays, sending lots of love ❤
It was the evening by the time I drank that vile wine! I ended up throwing up later that night and it didn’t dawn on me until now this was probably why! 🤣
First time watching. Great job making your pantry look awesome. You could also switch the snacks where they are in baskets and easy to slide out with the breakfast and baking stuff to make it easer for you to reach. 😊
I used to do that too, my whole family does it. The take out packets thing I mean. I finally decluttered them in February this year or maybe it was March and I don't even think about them other than the relief of not having to figure out how to contain them or shuffle them to get to something else. I did a lot of fretting and putting it off for ages before finally just doing it, it's been great honestly. Whether it's perfect or not doesn't matter so long as it works and you'll figure out what doesn't as you give it a test run. When we have kids, we end up making decisions that don't always seem functional, but if you ask me having a child learn some independence over keeping something within a little easier reach of the parents temporarily is far more functional than always having to get it for the kids for forever or having a child who doesn't know how to be independent. I think it's the right call, at least to give it a shot and see if they're ready to handle that yet. If not, no harm no foul. If so, less stress for you in the long run and they're building good skills. Way to go Blake for cleaning his bathroom by the way. I remember you saying you wished he would because it needed to be done, looks like that came true. Good for you on doing this one. The ones we stress over the most tend to have a huge impact on us in the long run, but people often don't talk about how sucky it is to get it done or how you're happy but still have some feelings on it since it isn't just so and you're tired. Great thinking on rewarding yourself too, you deserve it. Your kitchen may not be ideal for you or your family, but you'll figure out how to make it workable as it gets more decluttered and whatnot over time. That said, that's a project for another day so don't think about it too much right now! Great work! ❤🎉
So so happy for you! You did an amazing job 👏 👏 I have OCD, so I understand the irrationality and the panic that comes with those moments. I give you HUGE props for pushing through and not just collapsing into a puddle of tears and closing the pantry door. All the love to you and your family this Christmas! ❤ Random suggestion: maybe putting the spaghetti to the left of the oats container would work well because you can still pull the bread forward without it moving the spaghetti and it might not fall out because the frame of the cabinet might catch it? Just a thought, not trying to be pushy.
I so get what you talk about with your cabinetstuff sister, so relieving that I´m not alone about that. Sorry about my bad english but I´m from Sweden and am not so great in english.Just found your vlog and I love it. Hugs from Sweden

Me three! So good, I'm sorry it's almost over, but I bet Jamie isn't😂
Favorite Vlogmas series ❤ of 2024
Thank you Deanna!! 🩵
Me too! I agree 100%. Great series.
🎉so enjoyed the series ❤
I couldn't agree more
Me too. So impressed and grateful for the honesty and humour.

I'm going to miss these daily vlogmas videos. Every day, I couldn't wait for you to upload a new video! Your pantry and whole house is looking awesome!
There's a caulking bleach gel that works great in 5 minutes fyoi
I have a deep pantry like this and my aunt bought me some clear bins to put stuff in and it has been a game changer bc now I pull things out like a drawer. So much easier to access.
You’re the best and so relatable. Thank you for your vulnerability. This has been my favourite vlogmas series I’ve watched. Long live the fish bowl!

I’ve been doing the fishbowl idea for chores with my kids since they were little. They’re all in their 30’s now haha I love it! ❤
Clear acrylic bins help so much for deep cabinets like your pantry. You can pull them out. Good job.

Get a cute vintage bread box for the counter maybe, and risers for the pantry to help things in back be seen. 😊
Also I do think it would make you feel better to reline the shelves and redo the caulking even tho it’s unjust AF!
We had a great bread box on the counter but for some reason since it had a lid, it was where bread went to die inside and then we just stacked the good bread on top 🤣
@@Jamie_ChaoticI used to use our breadbox for my sons many medicines. Maybe it could be a cute vitamin storage solution?

I do think you’re right. I should just do it for my peace of mind and happiness, if no other reason.
🤣🤣🤣
No judgement s, just accolades. Great job pushing through it!
Girl you did it! Didn’t miss a day of vlogmas even while sick and having two little boys at home during the holidays! (I know we still have the car clean out tomorrow) and once this is done done, enjoy a glass of GOOD wine!
ive seen these pull out shelves on Amazon which renters can use. It might help with the accesss to things in the back for you.
Loved this series! What an awesome gift to give yourself!! Merry Christmas 🎄❤
YOU DID IT!! Great job and so inspiring and motivating. Love the fishbowl idea. 🤔 May have to use that too. Enjoy your party. Merry Christmas. 🎄
@@heathercox9231💯
Ok. I agree. First goal for 2025, recaulk kitchen.
You could put the back stock in the back of the shelves of the pantry or you could set up a small space in the garage for backstroke. You're doing great with a nonfunctional tiny kitchen. I get how you feel. My last place was similar.
Respect for you and your journey! It's sure is motivating for a lot of people.
Love this series!!! You did so good!!
Put the bread in the first tier of your hanging fruit bowl! This series was awesome, I looked forward to it every day!
You did it Bestie!!! 🎉
You should be very proud of yourself. You accomplished so much in a rather short period of time. You have definitely inspired me to do a "fish bowl" of my own. And, you made a new Bestie along the way! Win Win! 🏆 😆
Best part!!! ❤️🩵
LOL
Thank you! 🩵
I took an 8 oz squeeze bottle and empty all the same packets into a bottle in the fridge. That’s the only way we actually use them.
I don’t have any at all 😂 I used to but I never eat out anymore so they’re all gone
I’m going to miss this series! About the sauce packets, I feel like the least productive thing one can do is judge (ourselves & others) on those things and I love how you subconsciously look forward into new habbits you want to create and shift rather than spiral in the bad thoughts and comments! Very inspiring :)
Great job! Labels on the bins and sections will help family to put things away.
I have to say, that's an EPIC sauce packet collection! LOL! My daughter is the sauce packet queen - she wants to keep them ALL!
Yes! Delete and block judgement!! Nobody wants to read mean comments anyway. We're here for good vibes and inspiration. Loving your Vlogmas.
You should be so proud of yourself! I think it's absolutely functional 🎉
We keep the iron skillet and cookie sheets in the oven. I’ve never heard it bread in the microwave before!
Fantastic video. I felt the same feelings for you as you went along. I so relate to every video and thank you for your thoughts as you go.
I love Mack’s channel too. The teal and turquoise colors make me so happy! Thanks for the kindness!
LOL condiment packets. So me! Oh yes, and the plastic utensil too. Thanks for being a reflection of many of us.
Happy Holidays to you and your family, been loving watching your vlogmas as I am going through a difficult holiday season, I look forward to it every day ❤ 🎄🎁
Congratulations, absolutely loved your series… fishbowl idea was fantastic 😊❤👏🏻
Also, a tip for avoiding flour bugs is freezing your flour for 24-48 hours when you get it and it should kill off any eggs in the flour:)
Hope you’ve found something better tasting afterwards because you deserved it after your pantry-workout. Your series helped me with my procrastination projects around the house. Thanks!
Happy holidays, sending lots of love ❤
It was the evening by the time I drank that vile wine! I ended up throwing up later that night and it didn’t dawn on me until now this was probably why! 🤣
Wow! That was so tough. Congrats on pushing through. Better not perfect!❤
Great work! ❤🎉
Thank you so much for this analysis. I really appreciate you!!
So so happy for you! You did an amazing job 👏 👏
I have OCD, so I understand the irrationality and the panic that comes with those moments. I give you HUGE props for pushing through and not just collapsing into a puddle of tears and closing the pantry door. All the love to you and your family this Christmas! ❤
Random suggestion: maybe putting the spaghetti to the left of the oats container would work well because you can still pull the bread forward without it moving the spaghetti and it might not fall out because the frame of the cabinet might catch it?
Just a thought, not trying to be pushy.
I so get what you talk about with your cabinetstuff sister, so relieving that I´m not alone about that. Sorry about my bad english but I´m from Sweden and am not so great in english.Just found your vlog and I love it. Hugs from Sweden
God Jul! My ancestors are from Sweden 🇸🇪
