Tiny houses and more

  • In this video, John returns to Ozark Tiny Houses to take a peek at the rest of their inventory. We still believe that going with a tiny house is not in our budget since we plan to build a house, but a second look was necessary to rule them out. An RV is most likely what we'll go with but it's going to be cramped. We're sort of considering a used mobile as temporary housing as well. If you have any other suggestions feel free to share. We enjoy interacting with you. We're also working on an "about us" video. Look for that in our upcoming videos. Thanks for supporting us.

Loved the tour. My favorite was the rustic cabin one. Thanks for sharing!

Enjoying following your story and fixing/cleaning up your farm to live on it. Looking forward to future updates.

Thank you so much for the tour. We are thinking about getting a tiny house also. Haven’t started the search yet. Need to look into what out county will allow:) 👍

Thank you for sharing. My situation is so different from other people looking to retire and starting a small homestead. I still have a grown son that is disabled and in a full size motorized wheel chair. Looking at these home would never work for us. If you are retiring please keep in mind about your health in the future. The need of a walker and the steep stairs if you have bad knees. I think I would build first.

i'd build a leanto onto an rv. If you put a stove in, you can use it as additional space and when you move into the new house, you can turn the leanto into a shed.

These were interesting. The one with the cabin look, I worry about the metal because of humidity.

I like your tour of the tiny homes. Using the GoPro gave it a fish bowl look that was bothersome and I had to take breaks from watching, made me sea sick like??? Maybe try a different camera next time?
Anyway over all good tour of the tiny homes 😁👍🏻

I actually like Doug's better. Having the doors on the side instead of front allows for more walls to put furniture. I don't like that barn door thing in the bedroom either.

Some of those are really nice but that a lot of money for the sq ft. After being stuck in an RV, I just couldn't do the small space.

Agree 100%. You're paying for a lot of labor on these. I would rather put that money into materials and have a bigger space. We have the ability to build where not everyone does. The biggest factor - no office space in these.

Ridge View Homestead very true . You guys will have your place set up before you know it. Just don’t go wide and tall like I did!! 🙄

@@hickoryridgehomestead9177 Lol. So true. We only need a little bit of space and maybe some room for a guest or two.

So interesting to see all these, thanks for sharing. Does anyone have experience living with a "mini Split" heat/cool unit? It seems like they'd have to be loud and expensive to use. Just wondering.

J B I have been in a house with a mini split and I was shocked by how quiet it was both in and outside. As far as efficiency goes I don’t have any experience with that. The makers say they are super efficient even more than a regular HVAC system. We will be putting one in our future home. Thx for following along. John 😎👍

Where are going to find a move in ready home for under $70K?
Are you sure that crooked door wasn’t the GoPro? They tend to distort.

I noticed the fishbowl effect too, of course afterwards during edit. Too late at that point. We'll keep that in mind. Thanks!

How is the property clearing going?

    • @ridgeviewhomestead3900

Slow. We've both been working a lot and the late summer heat has kept us from doing too much but we're gearing up to start making some serious plans. We'll share in an upcoming video. Thanks for following our journey.
