It was me who asked about the fuse. Thanks for answering that Phil. Aaaaaaand as soon as you did I remembered you saying it in a previous video. Sorry about that dude. Great series! I love that you are taking the time to explain and show in detail what you're doing. It's Saturday morning now. I'm going downstairs to make coffee for me and my daughter and bring my wife up a tea. We're wearing winter clothes here in Toronto and I'm watching you - almost in real time - literally half a world away dying from the heat in your garage working on your truck. Same with the live feeds only more so. You and I were conversing while you were camping. 40 years ago that was not possible or even thought of. Same goes with the electronic truck setups that are possible now. Camping gear, communications, etc. I can't work it but I love technology...lol
Hi Phil looks like you have more than selling talent that’s one thing I wished I new how to do can’t wait to see the finish product good on you Phil 💪🏼🇦🇺👍🏽👌🏼
Hey Phil, I am looking at one of these when I sort out my new setup.. Question - I have a Victron wireless smart shunt that is currently in the battery box next to the battery. Where would the shunt mount and connect into this board so it measures all load on the battery?
In between the deep cycle battery and DC Hub. Just make sure battery side of shunt is mounted to the negative of the house battery and the DC Hub is wired to the load Side on the shunt. Wire all your devices earth to the DC Hub.
The load side of Shunt, wire the negative cable to the negative input into the dc hub house battery input. Than run a cable from shunts battery side to the negative terminal of battery. Don’t mount any other cables between battery negative and shunt
@@PhilsCampingReviews thank you so much for the quick reply! I just discovered your channel and am beginning a build out on my Toyota. Project one…building the electrical backbone so I can add on more appliances and accessories as I move along. Your videos are very informative and helpful for this noob !

Technology sure has changed a lot. Wish all this gear was about when I was much younger.

Good onya Phillip With the Anderson plugs I fill them with solder sitting in the vice and when nearly 3/4 way full I stick the cable in
I do that with thinner cables.
Thanks for this Phil. I am looking at the DC Hub fory new setup. 3 years later, how's it performing?
Perfect. No complaints.

Sorry if I missed it, but what is the mounting plate/box that you installed the Egon DC hub into?
It’s made of alloy I think and sold by Egon as an option

@@bravovictor1922 Victron gear is the best. I’ve updated the Cerbo gx to show more info on the system.
Will be filming a video on it soon.
