Sir, you don't have to believe me, and I can only tell you what my own experience is. The 6.0 is a pain to work on, so it makes sense that the mechanics think it's a piece of shit. The guys that worked on mine though said that the 6.0 is all the 7.3 wishes it was with the proper updates. My math is quite accurate also. About 210 mi on 10 gallons cruising at a steady 60mph. As a professional pilot my crew and passengers depend on my fuel calculation being accurate.

why did international quit building it??? reliability is a concern.. many owners who had these opted to trade for something else.. my brother sold these trucks for about ten years. he said he would NOT own one... that's proof enough for me.
My 6.0 has a hiccup at WOT, traced it down to HPOP. Runs fine till 80% load. These engines are so powerful I rarely ever need more the 1/2 throttle pulling a 7,200 lb camper. Ill just wait till I stud the heads and replace the HPOP. Archoil 9100 is a must for the 6.0, you won't believe the difference it makes!
thevenin2 last two years have been powerstrokes winning the DPC. im not brand loyal and like all three but they all have their strengths and weaknesses. i personally own a 2004 6.0 with 210k on it and the motor is pretty solid. only repairs i had to do to it were fixing things the previous owner neglected like front wheel hubs, brakes, and tie rod ends
