    Gonna get it once it is in store!
    I think this is good enough for hobby projects.

    Use low speed and keep lubricating when drilling metal.

    I was looking for a budget drill press and ended up compromising so opted for a getting a combo (separate drill and press) sadly as I suspected it was a waste of money. Then I happened upon this in my local store and I said fuck it! lets do this! honestly for the money it's perfect for the hobbyist, especially when you look at it's contemporaries on amazon. It will do for me.

    Don't drill in metal with fast speed...

      Unless you keep surfaces cool all time e. g. With water.

    I jiat got one from lidl for £60 to cut into metal boxes 13mm hole. At low speed it doesnt quite have the torque and sometimes stopped as the speed controller is limiting voltage, then it increased voltage and carried on, similar to when you were showing the speed controller freely. For the money its not bad

      Thats why Im gonna buy one with belts. Much more torque at low rpms. And I'm rarely using drills over on 900 rpm

    Καλησπέρα! Έχεις ευθυγραμμίσει το λέιζερ?

    Bought one yesterday and will be returning it today.
    Firstly the labels were not stuck on properly the chuck isn't running true ,the torque is weak almost stops when drilling , the on off switch housing fell out of the drill , just sitting against drill .
    I am an engineer ( toolmaker) so am a good judge regarding using this product
    Very disappointed

      Are you comparing this 50 pounds drill with the 2000£ in your workshop? because if it is like that I think you judgement is broken...

      I am using a black & decker drill attached to one of those cheap stand with a lever and I can assure you it does the job “wood or steel” thought the park side would be more precise and powerful but was extremely disappointing, like I said before that I am a Precision engineer “toolmaker” .
      Will buy myself an ordinary press drill which I know will be better as my mate has one and the chuck runs true and the on/off switch doesn’t fall out.
      Thanks for your reply, just thought that I share my thoughts.
      Take care and hope it will be a great summer.

      Why didn’t you change the chuck then if you are that precise of a toolmaker? It has plenty of torque only the electronic speed controller is increasing the voltage slowly. But you can definitely drill with this tool.

    • @vapoureyes
      @vapoureyes 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chemophilia shouldn’t have to change the Chuck anyhow it has been returned with the switch hanging out, the way it came .

      @@vapoureyes Look I did make my research, just want to emphasize this tool is usable for the money. Of course it cannot compete with more expensive ones but for 50€ you can use it, albeit not professionally. Lidl is correct because they change the faulty ones right away.

    That thing looks awful! When you drilled the wood, the thing almost stopped. One good 710W drill can break your hands before it stops like that... I was in the market for a cheap bench drill but definitelty will pass this one. Thanks for the video!

      That was the electronic speed controll, NOT stalling.

    Hi - great video. Couple of questions: Is there any play in the quill? meaning, does the chuck and drill bit wobble?? Also, it seems really noisy - is that the video, or is it actually very noisy like a regular corded drill?

    • @TechGuruAndrew
      @TechGuruAndrew  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no it is very steady,about the noise it has to do the Electronic Speed Control and the video a little amplify the noise.

    • @Saladzingers
      @Saladzingers 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MrSammyse It is about as noisy as a regular handheld drill, but there is no quill wobble - I bought one too because I was unhappy with the play in the quill on my traditional style Workzone pillar drill.

    • @vapoureyes
      @vapoureyes 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      MrSammyse don’t buy, chuck not true , torque very weak.

    • @xinixxagnix201

      @@vapoureyes for the price it is a very steady drill, chuck 0,045 off, so very good, torque is not so good but enough thou for hobby.

    • @DaniCalifornia44
      @DaniCalifornia44 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Why do you even need more torque? You would just break your hss drill bits. It is able to easily drill what it states is able to. Chuck is not that bad, mine has the laser a little off from center but I will adjust that. The lowering lever has a bit of a play, I must get used to that but come on, it was a bargain for 50€. Bosch’s competitive product is FIVE times the price. Same nominal power, but definitely better speed control. That is not worth the higher price.
