Zaheer's ability to sever worldly tethers is in contrast to what we learned in Last Airbender when Aang learned that as the Avatar he had to be tethered to the world (contrary to Guru Patik's teaching). By contrast, Zaheer is able to realize Guru Patik's of severing all worldly tethers. I admire the complexities of this franchise.

@@bodigames He didn't unlock all his chakras, he did let go of Katara for a moment which unlocked the final one but after Azula struck him with lighting his Chakra closed again as shown when the Cosmic Avatar Aang collapsed just like when he refused to let go of Katara before, and I think because it reopened a different way (in his case when Uzui slammed his back into the rock) he managed to unlock it again but without letting go of her so that why Aang wasn't able to become like wind as Zaheer did since Zaheer unlocked them all the proper way
Crazy how Zaheer flying was foreshadowed from the moment he was introduced. Also remember in the Avatar Wan flashback that the airbenders Wan met were also flying
Those early airbenders weren’t flying in the same way tho, they were using air bending to create a kind of cloud/wind and ‘flying’ with that, more like gliding tho I doubt they could sustain their flight for long

18:28 if you pay attention to what Ming Hua says (and the way she says it), you can tell that it was Azula's voice :) i think it was a little Easter Egg from the creators for Grey Griffin to say it like Azula for a nice throw back.
A lot of people felt weird about Zaheer flying at first. But think about the flying bison. They use airbending to fly the same way Zaheer is. So it's something that's been around since the first episode of Avatar
Kuvira... "Who are you?" You have seen her before, several times. And you will see her again. She is one of Su's most trusted people, from the dance troupe to getting a good blow on Zaheer during the battle in the metal city. But I think first time they say her name. She is a badass as well.
Zaheer is normal height, P'li is just really tall. Tall girls need love too and I think it says a lot about Zaheer that he will be with a tall girl. A lot of men wouldn't date a girl taller then them because it makes them feel "small" or less "manly". But Zaheer knows who he is and doesn't feel "lesser" for being with a strong and tall woman.

Remember when aang was learning to open how chakra and the last one required you give up earthly attachment? Zaheer’s last chakra is open all the way. Also. It’s so nice to see a show where the characters parents are alive. That fight with korra and her dad was pretty cool

As much as Zaheer wanted to "liberate the world", more than anything else what mattered to him was P'li. With P'li gone, Zaheer still has his agenda, but it isn't what really and truly matters to him. As a side note, P'li's death was a lot more humane than the Earth Queen's. Sure, messy as hell, chunky salsa and all that, but at least it was quick. Also, gotta love how deadpan unshakable Ghazan is, "Guess he doesn't need a ride." Kuvira has been popping up in the background and off to the side ever since Korra met the Metal Clan. So, lavabending, right? In theory, it isn't too different from what waterbenders do when they change ice to water or vice versa. In practice, however, a lot trickier. Between having a firebender for a brother and being involved in pro-bending, where he regularly got to fight beside and against waterbenders, plus dating a waterbending princess, you'd figure Bolin had enough exposure to heat and fluidity to figure it out. Ironically, his desire to metalbend probably slowed him down, his efforts were misdirected. At least now he'll be on more even footing the next time he encounters Ghazan. Next episode is gonna be a rollercoaster, fellas, strap in for it!
The reason fire bending feels weaker now is that only the good guys are using it. All of the antagonists, with the exception of P'li, have either been water benders, earth benders or Zaheer, an air bender. Also to keep in mind: while Mako and Korra aren't slouches, and Korra especially showed an aptitude for Fire bending, no one in Korra has been the Fire bending prodigy that Azula or Ozai were, it's just not what the show wants to focus on since "Fire benders are real scary and powerful" was kind of done already in ATLA. Ultimately all the elements have at some point been beastly, it just comes down to who's using em'

Fun fact about bolin. He has a firebending mom and a earthbending dad. Lavabending is a combo of both of those elements (basically state changing like water to ice). So it makes even more sense why bolin can't metalbend.
Funny that y'all mention games. Fun fact there is a ps4 legend of Korra game, its called A New Era Begins. They connect the storyline between book 2 and 3 of Korra. It's kind of a continuation after the book 2 finale of Korra. Y'all should definitely do a reaction to playing this game, I've played it myself and I promise y'all it's 100% worth it.🔥🔥

Aang couldn't fly cause, it's as the Guru kept trying to tell him, he couldn't let go of Katara. He wouldn't let go of his "Earthly tether." So he was always "grounded" in a way.
Legit this is in the top 10 (maybe even top 5) episodes of the franchise (ATLA & LOK). So much happened! There's a reason why people say S3 is the best season of Korra.
There are Two high tier technic a powerful Airbender can do, spiritual projection, and levitation. Aang can do spiritual projection but not levitation because it requires a great sacrifice to let go off any earthly tethers, and Aang could not do it because he needs to rebuild his nation, and he love Katara too much.
I dont know if y’all know but the explosions for head thing is also fire bending sub element. Combustion bending So Fire 🔥 has Lightning ⚡️ and Combustion 💥 plus the bonus of creating their element Water 💧 has ice🧊 and mist 🌫 and blood 🩸 Earth 🌍 has sand🏝 metal ⚓️ lava 🌋 Air 💨 Has flight and the benefit of having their element practically everywhere. And the attack power is really low but the mobility of this type is the best So they are all balanced
If aang unlocked his chakras he could fly and master the avatar state when he was a kid and imagine if aang had lightning, metal ,blood, and lava bending he would be so OP

As I said in this comment from book 1 ep 8: ‘as the show progresses I’m probably going to be returning to this subject and nerding out in your comments section lol’ So I’d said how much I love thinking about the pseudoscientific limitations of each element. I think it was book 2 chapter 1 where Roku’s explaining the avatar state to Aang. There was an avatar shown bending lava and there was a question as to if it was firebending or earthbending. @risee said: bending lava is a true Avatar flex. Firebenders can’t truly bend lava because it’s technically super hot liquid earth I replied: I’m not even sure any earthbender can bend earth when it’s liquefied like that. Cuz like, if bending is essentially a skill that a person has that inherently allows them to physically manipulate (bend) the structure of molecules in something, (water and earth) or excite them (fire, water to vapor), slow them down (water to ice) or guide them (air and fire) I think lava would just be too different and too difficult for an earthbender to grasp to be able to bend something whose physical AND chemical structure is so far removed from their inherent ability to manipulate them It’s truly something only the Avatar can do, since they possess the inherent ability to bend any and all molecules regardless of their physical and chemical limitations unlike other benders. I didn’t want to be anywhere remotely in the vicinity of spoiling that lavabending exists outside of the avatar, cuz that shit was the COOLEST reveal and I could NOT risk taking that from you all lol
Cuz look lol that forehead eye is CLEARLY on the Light chakra. The one that deals with insight, and is blocked by illusion. That point HAS to be significant in benders, as Aang, Korra, and Amon all used that specific area as a contact when taking and giving bending back. Though with Amon the trick he was using was purely physiological in nature. Those airbenders were all ABOUT that third eye enlightenment stuff. I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that every baby born at the air temples were born airbenders every time because of how spiritual their culture was. As to how this union may have happened to get airbending genes mixed into other populations gene pools, hey They can go all over the place. Probably didn’t happen often that a nomad got busy, but I’m sure its happened. And clearly hybrids are exceptionally rare, at least to our current knowledge. But… yeah. I think how it might work if we accept my bending hypotheses lol is they’re focusing on a single point, then is able to compress a large amount air there, and condenses several smaller pockets of air down their line of sight. They breathe, and instead of bending straight up fire, they’re able to superheat air remotely. First pocket of dense oxygen. It bursts, and then the next one detonates because the heat flying off the first one flies down the channel, hitting and superheating air, adding concussive force and that •buhbuhbUH• noise until the most dense concentration of air… combusts.
aang could have been able to fly if he had let go of his earthly desires/tether (katara) when he was trying to master the avatar state with Guru Patik. but he chose not to because he loved her. i genuinely believe that if he did let her go, he would have been able to fly just like zaheer
Flight is not a difficult abily to get when you talk about mastering or power, Tenzin is more powerful than Zaheer, but a hard to get ability cause you need to have no love, no things holding your objectives, you must get the true freedom, not depending of people or objects to change anything on you, that's why just a few airbenders could do that and is threated as a legend, a myth

I don't mean to come across as ungrateful for the work you put into your videos but I had an ad playing every 2 mins which was a bit much...hopefully it brings in some $ because I know these videos must take a lot of work/coordination but just as an FYI - I'd rather watch a full ad once or twice throughout the full video rather than needing to skip one every 2 mins. I don’t really care about P’Li with her backstory because we only got a sentence of it. What even was her personality that was only her and not share it with the Red Lotus members? Um, she stayed behind to watch Zaheer’s body, so she’s protective of him that wasn’t in a fight that’s all I got 🤷🏻♀️. So, I don’t really care when she gets killed here. Lin and Suyin should have taken a page out of Azula’s handbook on not to let your opponent to power up because they wasted so much time on talking to Zaheer to surrender 😂.

There are Two high tier technic a powerful Airbender can do, spiritual projection, and levitation. Aang can do spiritual projection but not levitation because it requires a great sacrifice to let go off any earthly tethers, and Aang could not do it because he needs to rebuild his nation, and he love Katara too much.
I dont know if y’all know but the explosions for head thing is also fire bending sub element. Combustion bending

So I’d said how much I love thinking about the pseudoscientific limitations of each element. I think it was book 2 chapter 1 where Roku’s explaining the avatar state to Aang. There was an avatar shown bending lava and there was a question as to if it was firebending or earthbending.

I replied: I’m not even sure any earthbender can bend earth when it’s liquefied like that. Cuz like, if bending is essentially a skill that a person has that inherently allows them to physically manipulate (bend) the structure of molecules in something, (water and earth) or excite them (fire, water to vapor), slow them down (water to ice) or guide them (air and fire) I think lava would just be too different and too difficult for an earthbender to grasp to be able to bend something whose physical AND chemical structure is so far removed from their inherent ability to manipulate them
It’s truly something only the Avatar can do, since they possess the inherent ability to bend any and all molecules regardless of their physical and chemical limitations unlike other benders.
I didn’t want to be anywhere remotely in the vicinity of spoiling that lavabending exists outside of the avatar, cuz that shit was the COOLEST reveal and I could NOT risk taking that from you all lol

that forehead eye is CLEARLY on the Light chakra. The one that deals with insight, and is blocked by illusion. That point HAS to be significant in benders, as Aang, Korra, and Amon all used that specific area as a contact when taking and giving bending back. Though with Amon the trick he was using was purely physiological in nature.
Those airbenders were all ABOUT that third eye enlightenment stuff. I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that every baby born at the air temples were born airbenders every time because of how spiritual their culture was.

aang could have been able to fly if he had let go of his earthly desires/tether (katara) when he was trying to master the avatar state with Guru Patik. but he chose not to because he loved her. i genuinely believe that if he did let her go, he would have been able to fly just like zaheer

Flight is not a difficult abily to get when you talk about mastering or power, Tenzin is more powerful than Zaheer, but a hard to get ability cause you need to have no love, no things holding your objectives, you must get the true freedom, not depending of people or objects to change anything on you, that's why just a few airbenders could do that and is threated as a legend, a myth

I don't mean to come across as ungrateful for the work you put into your videos but I had an ad playing every 2 mins which was a bit much...hopefully it brings in some $ because I know these videos must take a lot of work/coordination but just as an FYI - I'd rather watch a full ad once or twice throughout the full video rather than needing to skip one every 2 mins. All that being said, if it makes putting out this content financially feasible then it is just a minor inconvenience

I don’t really care about P’Li with her backstory because we only got a sentence of it. What even was her personality that was only her and not share it with the Red Lotus members? Um, she stayed behind to watch Zaheer’s body, so she’s protective of him that wasn’t in a fight that’s all I got 🤷🏻♀️. So, I don’t really care when she gets killed here. Lin and Suyin should have taken a page out of Azula’s handbook on not to let your opponent to power up because they wasted so much time on talking to Zaheer to surrender 😂.
