My best friend was my 5 grade bully! We became super besties fast forward to adulthood and he was one of my father's pallbearers! Literally best friends for life!!!
My best friend goes back 16 years. I was a new student in the school. She was the only one that got me through a lot. When my parents divorced in 2010. She helped me through that. When I came out as trans. I was absolutely scared she wasn't going to accept me. Turns out she's still here for me, fully accepted it. She's been my best friend for 16 years now and I wouldn't want it differently. In 4 years we will be besties for 20 years.
I like how honest Lindsey is, it’s really hard to admit that you were not the best person in your past and to say you hope to change. It’s refreshing because people do go through that, I’ve been horrible in the past but it doesn’t mean you will be that way for life and I loved her take on friendship , you really can’t be a good friend until you heal yourself first. The boys go quiet and don’t know what to say but she is saying the realest stuff
Yeah, it's fun to be amused by how off the rails she can take the podcast with the questions and topics she randomly throws out there, but I respect how open Lindsey is about the messiness of the journey she's been on.
I really relate to what Lindsey was saying about friendships. I have very few friends and most of them wouldn’t call me a good friend. It’s a weird space to be in.
I loove seeing you guys being so natural, so spontaneous, I love this podcast, no plot no script, just reality and stories, you make me feel comfort watching you, like I finally have someone to relate to
NDSSG was my favorite show as a kid/preteen and it’s so cool now being 28 years old and watching this podcast. I never thought I’d see these three in the same screen space again and their dynamic is still so awesome. Even more so now that it’s not scripted!
I feel the same way about friendship as Daniel. Glad to have my perspective validated! Friendships have been rough for me too and I've been working to keep a distance but people do NOT like that and it's hard to accept that that's just where I am right now, that it's hard to be a good friend for me and it's hard for me to allow others to be a friend to me.
It was a bit of an awkward transition from Lindsey talking about her drug abuse past and unhealthy friendships to then Devon talking about how drugs helped with bonding with friends 😅🥴 I appreciate Daniel reinforcing don’t do drugs! Lol I know we all have our different experiences with drugs but I feel maybe it’ll be better not to talk about them in a praising way in front of someone whose recovering? Just some thoughts! But I enjoyed this pod as always thank y’all for always entertaining, teaching, and bringing us super nostalgic feels with this pod!
Man, I just notice how Devon took that ice pack that was between her legs and rubbed it on his face. If that isn't friendship I don't know what is. Daniel looked at it and said nope
I have seen you guys doing this podcast thing for a minute but never gave it a listen, I'm so glad I started :) You guys bring back so many good memories and it's dope to see how you guys are nowadays
Best Friends Ned and Cookie being best of friends. Basic start. Cook changes the Menu to Candy Corn instead of Brussel Sprouts for some reason (wild) and what's even more traitorous is that Cookie to be a Killer Bee. (Oooooh spicy!) Moze on the other hand, looking for a best friend so of course, to make sure things go smoothly, she ends up with Doris (Shoutouts to Jennifer Tedmori) and the Huge Crew. To some degree on the episode, I really love it how Moze was fitting in to be in Huge Crew at one point and now it's Cookie to get the love with the ladies and gossip about Ned. 😏
The way that every episode of this podcast makes me laugh uncontrollably while also being SO deep afterwards. Just wow. I think you guys exhibit the highest emotional intelligence on the internet, and it is so refreshing and real and GENUINE.
Thank you so much for being so open Lindsey. And like you said, it's a process you're still getting through. But never forget to take stock of those in your life at this very moment. You keep on keeping on!
Regarding Lindsey's comment about showing up just to feel you have value in others eye. Such a hard thing to recognize in yourself. Because you feel like your being a good person through your kindness. But, you have to go a step further and realize your intentions behind your actions.
Being 28 growing uo watching u guys and seeing your lod talking about being normal is refreshing after having a kid a fentamyl addiction prison then back to sober life and working a shitty 9 to 5 . After my 10 hour shift today i found your podcast and it was like a breath of fresh air . Thanks ned , moze and cookie appreciate this
Saw a clip of a podcast on my fb yesterday. Didn't know this existed. I've been binge watching this show on Paramount plus for 2 weeks now. Love you guys. Thanks for making this podcast. So good seeing you all years later. ❤
I'm Mexican and I grew up watching this TV series and I feel so nostalgic by watching it again. Back in the days when the series was all-new I saw you guys and I was thinking: "Oh, they are really tall and all- grown up" and when watching it again nowadays I go: "Oh, boy, they look like kids". I feel old. 😂 Greetings from Mexico, guys. You are really beloved here and many Mexicans remember you with so much love. 🎉❤ 😊
Great episode! Friendship is such a complicated part of life and it’s so different from childhood to adulthood. Also, Lindsey, just wanted to tell you that lipstick looks amazing on you!
I love how you all have progressed as people. Watching Ned’s growing up was my favorite after school activity. Now here we are almost 20 years later and the themes have shifted into this new adult genre that’s about self love and being able to be the best person for yourself and those around you. This new “Adulthood Survival Guide” is something I thoroughly enjoy. Plus it helps when these three are the ones hosting. Keep up the good work 👍🏾
This is the Ned's sequel we needed, just as us going with our oldest friends and talking about things that matter and leaving the party stuff a bit on the side.
i really respect daniel's boundaries. i can get lost in other people's desires. love and desire are not the same, but can feel the same, so tread carefully. my last "good" friendship was ego/trauma based. We built each other's egos up, but to a high stake, that one little moral flaw meant cancellation from the friend group! I seek COMRADES :) luckily the friends i made from work and travel which are not groups but individuals, have made it harmonious for me.
I wish people would research sponsors before they support them. Because better health is so deeply problematic and really not where we should be sending people who desperately need mental health support
Lots of these big podcasts just use like a person/service which hooks them up with sponsors. They aren't individually going after/researching sponsors.
I yearn for friendships like this. Better yet, people that actually want to hang out with me and take some responsibility for making plans. I get comfort watching these episodes ❤️
For those of you that are curious as to what they are saying on that fast part of the theme song, this is what they are saying “I just wanna dance with my crush. My teachers teach me respect. Escaped detention And a bunch of bullies tryna stop me

How did I only just now find this?! It really brightened my day to see this since I grew up watching y’all. Much love to you guys and thank you for this series. I’ll be binge watching alllllllll the eps I missed 😊
About the lyrics for the fast rap section in the Ned's theme song, I'm pretty sure some episodes actually had it in the closed captions. At least the first part - "I just wanna dance with my crush / my teachers teach me respect / escaped detention and a bunch of bullies tried to stop me".
I love you guys, you and the entire cast of Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide made my life quite happy with your series and I am happy to see you together, I have seen the series 4 times and the remaining times, please bring the reel of "Es cookie, Es cookie" BLING BLING
Lindsey is a fuckinn character she has me laughing all the time. 🤣 Love her I’m so happy she’s doing better love the boys too! All of them have a good head on their shoulders I’m so happy to see it. 🖤
I can totally relate to Daniel and Lindsey! Friendship is hard and weird and you really need to have the skills to maintain them. I also feel like there are different types of friends who add different things such as a “going out” friend or a “nostalgic” friend. I have six sisters and the dynamic of my family was too dependent on each other that I never really learned how to be there for other people. My sisters are my best friends and only real friends. I have a friend of 10+ years that I stay in touch with and talk to maybe twice a year, but there is no way I would consider her my best friend but she is my oldest friend. I usually make friends based on proximity or the places I work but once I get a new job I don’t keep up with them. My partner right now is absolutely my best friend and my person and we have grown so much together and building a future together but I still do miss having friends that exist outside of my family. That’s probably why I love watching this podcast because it feels like you’re my friends too!! ❤❤❤
i don’t know if you guys have addressed this yet, im still catching up on episodes, but have you addressed the backstory of the awesome theme song??? woah woah woah!!!!!
I wish that they had Carlos PeñaVega on this rewatch. So he could talk about his alleged confidence in stealing the role of Ned. And eventually getting a starting role in Big Time Rush, another Fellows creation
It’s so funny how Daniel says “didn’t… never mind” when Devon mentioned that Clay and Lindsey had seen each other before he got with Lindsey. I just know Daniel was gonna say what we were all thinking, “didn’t Lindsey like Devon since the first day?” 🤭
Is anyone else a little grossed out by how freely Devin throws out Lindsay's trauma and past? Like, I know she brings it up openly when it's relevant, but often he so easily and frequently uses her history as a casual talking point. "Haha lol Lindsay can talk to you about drug abuse, can't you Lindsay?? Hyuk hyuk"
I can relate to Devin. When i need to poop i don't want the people I'm hanging out with to smell my stank. I'll leave for a bit and go find a public washroom somewhere, cuz they can get pretty bad.
The "chuck chuck mash" scene seriously grossed me out as a kid. Every time that clip played in the intro, I would always cover my eyes because of how much it grossed me out. So thanks a lot, Ned's Crew. Ya scarred me for life.

@@venusluv-i1v no it wasn’t a racist comment, alexa only corrected that girls use of “god” to “goddess” bc beyoncé is a woman. (it’s stupid) but she did address it in her video and said that she loves beyoncé and doesn’t even remember that situation happening but apologized and said she has no bad blood with her and doesn’t know why she would’ve blocked. yes everyone does make mistakes but considering the whole picture of alexa’s story they ultimately should be backing her up and supporting survivors. not bringing up petty things. it would be nice if they recognized that and simply apologized. instead they blocked her lol
@@coconutlollipop3410 No she allegedly said more than that. Alexa is literally brushing it under the rug. It wasn't a "minor correction" according to the black girl from Unfabulous. According to her, Alexa was downplaying Beyonce's achievements and comparing her to other artists. Alexa doesn't seem to know why people are blocking her...isn't it odd that a lot of people don't want to associate with her? If this was anyone else, people would be suspicious. The fact that a lot of people said Alexa used to do some out of the box things...We're talking about people who weren't even on set with her.
