- I knew the moment they finished this performance and by the judges comments that they were the group to beat..again they only had 2 performances to do for this season but those are the breaks. They chose the best singer to do this song no doubt...and it was certainly the best of the night. whether they win or not it's up to the judges to vote..A

Sydney Herring i really was pulling for the exchange because of the fan favs in their group but this performance was hands down one of the best in the sing off history they not only killed it they OBLITERATED it
Sydney Herring and that last moment Dan had were he dropped to his knees was so perfectly executed their performance was amazing

For having a limited amount of rehearsal time, a judge's choice song, not one they had performed before, and for having to cut the song down to fit the allotted time, I don't see how anyone could ask anymore from them. It was perfection, best in show. Melodores you have a new fan in Nashville. Kudos to whoever does your arrangements and choreography and to every backup voice for understanding the importance of dynamic. It was just as important for the rest of the group to make us feel what they were doing as it was for the lead. I wish we had competitions like this back in my day. In the 70's in hs & college about the best I could find was singing in madrigals. This is so much more fun. Embrace your time in the sun boys. You deserve it.
The Exchange were probably the better group overall, but in a short form program a single stand-out moment can steal the victory. Dan from The Melodores had one such moment with his audacious lead on "Church." It was reminiscent of Michael from The Aires on the medley of Queen. Great job Dan, your guys trusted you & your delivered!
Yup...that's what happened here. They managed to steal that last impact. Should this have been a full season...I fee like The Exchange woulda taken it.
Chills the moment the lead started singing. I knew they were gonna win once they got to the refrain. Very smart, very soulful arrangement, and SPECTACULAR lead vocal. I'm so happy for these guys! They are the very first college group to be both entertaining and winning material. They have beaten the odds and made Sing Off history. The best part? They deserve it all. Great job guys :D

When they did that power chord at the last amen I couldn't stop smiling. Just beautiful. The bass in this song was perfect the whole way. Awesome arrangement. I love acapella music because it strips down the music to its purest form. Four part harmony. Love it!

This is such a strong performance! I love it! It's right up there with Pentatonix when they slayed so many songs on this show! And Patrick Stump is judging! My favorite leads seem to be the "littlest guy with the biggest voice" (Mitch is the biggest voice in ptx, IMHO) and show the deepest emotional connection with their music!

I have been disappointed with the Sing Off since Season 2. Loved Season 1 and the show just didn't live up to that again until tonight, and only when the Melodores "took me to church!" I loved them, and knew they would win. My goose bumps, Jewel's goose bumps and when she said the judges work for the audience made it absolutely clear they were going to win! So proud to be a Nashvillian!

i had to watch this twice, go listen to the original and then come back and listen again with the lyrics fresh in my mind, although several verses were cut. it was definitely an impressive performance, although i am not sure the feelings were as authentic as the panel suggested they were, you couldn't tell that from the quality of the performance.

You know Pentatonix is sitting there like, "You had to perform two songs to be called Sing-Off champions. Uh huh ok." These guys were good but it's a joke to cram a couple performances into a night and call anyone the newest champions of a show that used to require an entire season's worth of performances while displaying a whole range of vocal versatility to win. And you've got Nick Lachey trying to dramatize it up for TV as if we have all developed some sort of emotional attachment to these artists we first heard five minutes ago. I'd love to see this show return for an actual multi-episode season because a one-night deal doesn't have any integrity as a competition.
I would think they would have been more thankful that they had the extra time to find their sound throughout their season. If they had only two songs to perform during their season, they probably would have had similar results to SanFran6, which means they would have parted ways after the show. This compacted show doesn't take away all the legitimacy of the winners, it just takes away the chance of newly formed groups to become great compared to established groups who have already reached their peak.
Home Free, Pentatonix, Committed and Nota all became Champions after at least 10 of these performances...why yes, this performance was great but it was only 1 of 2 performances both of which they prepared before they were introduced on the show. The previous champions had to come up with their performances in a limited time frame. So for me at least, The Melodores are not true Sing off Champions.
Christian R I would slightly disagree with that statement. True singoff champions compared to the other seasons, but they made the most out of the two performances. Compared to the other groups of the season they were true Champions because they had the same chance to win as any of the other groups of that season.
Sing off seaosn 3 was incredible we were spoiled as viewers having so many weeks of unreal competition. Its a shame the format is changed this
And this entire time i am searching for there other videos and im like where are they? Well now this make sense, only 2 performances and crowned a winner? Yeah that's pretty dumb. I am actually extremely disappointed with the sing off for this.

Thank you for being the only channel that consistently has uploaded the Sing Off for all it's seasons! I loved how if i didn't DVR an episode, (or it got deleted) i could always come watch it on your channel, with the judges comments! Thank you so much! Here's hoping for a season 6 (A proper season this time!)

I had goosebumps on my goosebumps. These guys LITERALLY took my breath away. Had to scramble for my rescue inhaler when the song ended! When I watched it again (how did we live w/out DVRs?!) I was on my feet, howling. My newest rescue thought that was very exciting and she joined in. First time she's howled. Made it even more momentous! lol Seriously, tho', if you guys read this, Melodores, you KILLED it. WTG on the win, and keep up the great work! =D

Pentatonix could have made an album from what they did on the song off. This was a very crammed, short performance. You have to do more than a handful of songs to be called "Sing-off Champion" in my books.

From the start of the show I had wanted The Exchange to win but without weeks of the show to bond with groups I lacked the emotional connection to them. Once I heard them I was covered and wanted them to win the title!
Take us to church anytime! Amazing, chilling, judges were right on. Dan pulled out a deep, deep emotion but even with Dan it would have been lacking without the backup stars. This is the very best rendition of Take me to Church I have ever heard. Please tell me this will be on an album! Sing-off thanks fro bringing on the Melodores. To think they had a very short preparation time...again...AMAZING.
