This is easily the best "reality singing show" performance I've seen. Dan belongs on Broadway, serious.
Instead of Broadway, you'll likely to see him in a doctor's office - he's a senior at Vandy and headed to med school to be a pediatrician. Can you believe it?

After I saw this performance there was no doubt in my mind they were going to win. Easily the best performance of the entire special.

Gents, your version of this song is incredible. It has been haunting me since watching it on the show. I've listened to it each day. The only thing I can say negative about it is that it's only 90 seconds long. If you recorded the full version of the song, I'd buy it for sure. Rock on, Melodores!
I actually bought this on iTunes because I was so excited to hear this over and over! I'm VP of my university's a cappella group and I gotta say I am so darn impressed! Way to go!

I accidentally stumbled upon this. Never heard of this group before. I assure you I will not soon forget them.....
I saw the title and I thought to my self, "Oh no they are gonna ruin the song..." However, while watching it I had goosebumps and I honestly feel that this version tops the original.

I had to rewind my DVR & turn on the receiver to hear it through the stereo instead of the TV. Turned it up loud & just sat back & listened to you totally own that song. Gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Great job!
This makes me wish this show would last more than one episode. Seriously, two performances just ain't enough
The first three seasons were much longer, with more groups competing. I forget the name of the first season winners (from Puerto Rico, maybe?), S2 was Pentatonix, S3 was Home after. S4 -this one in the video-was the last.
Goosebumps, indeed...right at 1:18 when they gathered into that tight formation you knew they were going to go all out. Just LOVE their bass ensemble! Dan will always have this talent to lean on if he ever wishes to explore it further. He did a helluva job belching out this one! And, of course, his brethren did a helluva job backing him up! :-)

You lot did amazing. I literally was stunned hearing the bass of the chorus. Dan blew me away with the tone he put the song into, not to mention he's genuinely a good singer. Just stunning, all of you.
I just listened to this song for the umpteenth time. But this last time was unique. I used head phones on. I was able to pick up every SINGLE harmonisation. What they did was just heavenly. I am better able to appreciate this song now that I have headphones. I have thanked God too for the first time in my life for the gift of hearing.
This is by far the best song of the night. You guys totally deserve to win. So glad to finally see a collegiate group to win the show.

This cover brought me to a place I've never been. The lyrics of this song is already very meaningful to me for personal reasons but Dan just delivered a performance beyond compare. Well-deserved win, I must say. Dan, you're living proof that "precious gifts come in small packages".

I really never listened to the original song, but after this performance I did and I must say I've come back to this version 7 times. Wow it brings tears to my eyes each time I've listened.
Heard the original version of this song for the first time about a week ago. Have to say that I prefer the Melodores version much more, more soul to their version! LOVE IT!!!

The tight harmonies into that upwards glissando at 1:18 was some seriously brilliant musical arrangement.
This performance nearly made cry! I love seeing true talent. And it is beautiful to see the passion that this group has. It is truly amazing. I am now a huge Melodores fan. Please continue the great work and your fans will continue to support.
