My Husband and I adopted our daughter 9 years ago. GOD spoke to me and said to me “take her and Trust me” She has endured so much trauma, the death of her birth mom being separated from her sibling, physical and mental abuse she was broken and bruised,BUT GOD had already ordered our steps. This was all predestined on the day she was conceived. I witness a breaking point with her while she was listening to Kirk Franklin , Imagine Me. That is her go to song when she is going through certain issues or situation. GOD will use People in our life to BLESS us. THANK YOU Kirk Franklin and your Ministry of Music to help my daughter. I know that GOD has a purpose for my daughter, I always tell her we are in this together. Crystal Renee, I am a fan Sista’s and Zatima. GOD is about to expand your territory. He is preparing you now for in this platform for a bigger platform. Yes you….You have been chosen. Love you my Sista. Peace and Blessings to you both
I need to sit on a regular couch, this one is emasculating, I'm hollering 😂😂. His sense of humor is wonderful. I watched his documentary and cried like a baby. The fact that he is still standing and in his right state of mind continues to remind me there is a GOD. I am so grateful to have my daddy, who raised me and fought for me and my sister with getting custody of us in the early 80s. At 50, I'm still a daddy's girl 🙂. May GOD continued to bless your heart and soul Kirk. Great interview Crystal 👏🏾👏🏾.
I feel you on that my dad raised me and my sister. I've never met my mother he has since passed away and I'm a epitome of a Daddy's girl still taught me everything such a blessing I wouldn't change it ever I'm hugging you in my heart sending love from. The Carolina's I'm in my 50 as well..❤❤🤗🤗

This really hit me because my father didn't make it right with me. I gave him plenty of opportunities. He's one of the few ppl that his death didn't stir any emotions in me that says A LOT. I'm so happy that Kirk and his father are getting it right.
I have lived my life bitter toward my father he always told me I would be nobody and never have any children I'm in my 60s and I feel broken just pray for me

Same Chrystal. Kirks "imagine me", "Shout" and "Now behold the lamb" and I am sure so many more songs; have inspired me through many things, especially as a kid. This was an amazing episode.

I am so glad to hear someone as prominent as Kirk talk about questioning God. I talk to God every morning and a lot of my words are questions, the big WHY. I always seem to move upward but boom something sets me back and I get disgusted, frustrated and feeling gloom. I have a hard time with so many things that are not where they’re supposed to be to be in my life and I get so discouraged and I feel defeated. I ask God what am I doing wrong and please forgive me and let’s move on. I have never really been a happy person I just know how to laugh at my pain and this pain is real and taxing on my body and mind. I just want a lil bit of happiness or to feel elated not over material things or people. I guess I am empty and I want to be filled so to hear you guys talk about heartfelt meaningful things in your life moves me to a better understanding that all people go through different struggles of conflict within themselves and they question God over it and it is common. Thank you guys ❤

I have honored Minister Kirk Franklin since he was minister of music at Strangers Rest Baptist Church in the 90s. He was real then and he still is today. He shows how God works in us in all times!!

I'm praying for you Kirk. I understand your struggle. My dad was 25 minutes away and I knew who he was. I'm 61 and still struggling some. You're still an awesome man of God!

I was blessed to meet Kirk Franklin in Houston at the Stellar Awards in January 2005 and he was so kind.
I have to stop watching these episodes at work because I be trying to really fight back the tears but these conversations these episodes be hitting home sometimes and giving clarity when you didn't even know that's what you where coming on here for. ❤ Absolutely Love this podcast

I don't have words this morning, just tears. I don't know my biological parents and my adopted Dad passed 4 years and I haven't spoken to my adopted mom since because I still don't believe she ever loved me especially it was easy for her to abandon me. The past 6 years of my life has gotten progressively worse and this year around May I thought I couldn't do life anymore but thanks to the podcast, to my daughter, and just a renewed faith in God I'm still here. And although I am still struggling deep I am still fighting. I hope to find my biological parents, gonna start the search soon because I need to heal some parts of my life and forgive myself to move forward and create a better life for my baby.
I am soooo grateful for this podcast, words cant explain. Thank you to the KIPS team and Crystal and each and every guests on the couch so far.❤❤❤

This is such a BEAUTIFUL INTERVIEW!!! This one just hit me like a ton of BRICKS!-Just because you've been introduced to love...doesn't mean you know how to process it when you see it! I totally get it! My mother decided that she didn't want to be a parent when I was three years old(after my dad died). It's so hard to allow others to love you.....when the person who is supposed to love you most walks out on you. You often question...IS THIS REAL LOVE or IS IT contingent upon external factors? Thank you for you this Crystal!!!
This interview of Kirk Franklin is a great one. And he is unforgettable in my eyes. I've listened to Kirk Franklin's music since I was in kindergarten possibly for school programs. At 7 years old, on my own, I would turn on Kirk Franklin and sing his tunes and have my own performances in the mirror at home. His music at the age uplifted me after losing my grandpa, great grandma, and meeting my biological father for the first time all in the same year. Kirk is, what I like to call him, my musical father!
He is too darn funny! Thank God for you both, you are both a blessing to a lot of people!!!
This sit down was just amazing. I love Kirk Franklin he keeps it real and has testimonials that people can relate to.
Crystal every episode of KIPS has helped me in one way or another. This one right here has bought me to tears because I grew up knowing who my father was but not having a relationship with him. However GOD sent me a father figure in my spiritual father who taught me what it was to have a father who actually loved me the way GOD does. The hardest thing for a child to hear from their biological father is that you don’t love me or n their death bed when you are the one sought to have a relationship with them but they didn’t want you.

I have been fan of Kirk Franklin for some long now. I actually play his song Stomp every morning on the way take my kids to school. To see him on your show brung so much joy to my heart. Hearing Him say he just met his father it hurts deep of his mother lying to him. Some of us all have that pain from our fathers whether they were there,absent or not good enough. But did open a new light hearing him explain he needs time to adjust to knowing his father. This was awesome episode. #KIPS❤

Again going back to what you said about Christianity not being what we have been taught. We beat ourselves "down" over and over for sin 😢. When I believe sin-imperfection being apart of life leads to healing for yourself and others. Love you both!!

I always loved Kirk's ever since he came out in 93 when I was 10. The album with God's Property( I still love the album with The Family) did it for me. The whole album is🔥 but, " Love" is my favorite go to song.

This was much needed. My testimony is one of faith. No matter what we are facing God will give us strength. As a single mother I’m overwhelmed at times raising two children with autism. I started homeschooling them last year so my hours to work are limited. I keep faith in Jesus even as I struggle to pay rent and as I struggle to buy groceries for my children. Lord please take away my fears because I’m constantly in fear of homelessness. But I STILL TRUST IN YOU. Please guide me and protect me through this hard period of my life I am facing. Faith over fear!
Father, God you said if we ask, we will receive. Lord, help my sister with all her needs. Continue to give her the strength, courage, and faith to continue on. Our Father, got you!❤

I am one of those people when asked Who's my favorite celebrity, celebrity crush, I don't have one. We are all human, all flawed and expectations more often than not lead to disappointment. When I tell y'all these are two of my favorite 🥰🥰 people. Kirk's music has gotten me through some times. Fight of My Life really helped me during the Fight of My Life. ⛓️ Chains!!! Whew CHILE!!! Ms. Crystal Renee. I have never met her. It is very rare that I am drawn to people this, but there is something about her, about her spirit that illuminates.

This is hands down one of the most empowering and candid interviews I've watched. Kirk was so honest, vulnerable and humble. Crystal's admiration and for kirk and her vulnerability and humility was refreshing. Crystal is a great host, I loved the camaraderie between both of them. Kirk emptied is soul,and dropped so many gems.He's a true man of God.
