I’m always disappointed when a remake of a game has completely new music or the remixes just don’t have the same feeling to them as the originals. It shows how much care the Echoes team put into the game that the songs from Gaiden were remade so faithfully, and that what new songs they did add fit the feeling and style perfectly. 10/10 game AND soundtrack, should’ve won at least one award.
@@phntmthf5505 It also says something about Gaiden's own soundtrack aging well, these complex compositions didn't exist in the first game on the same system.
@@inconemay1441 Gaiden didn't have a ton of strong tunes but this one is quite a nice piece. Very melodic for what I think I hear is only 3 audio channels being used and 1 of those being the percussion.
I simply cannot believe that the SoV soundtrack is so faithful. It sounds like it's all original, and then I find the original theme and it's like, nope!
echoes keeps the same rythim and tunes of this theme, its great to see this theme transformed totally (its the first time that i am hearing this theme, i heard first echoes' final theme :U)
Hm? Final map? Doesn't it also play when the player or enemy is giving a speech in the start of certain maps? (E.G. Alm in the first map on Chapter 3.)
FE 2 wasn't one of my favorite, but I can agree that the game did a lot of risks. I agree that the game felt so different from the series, but it was also very different from FE1. If you look at it, this game was a huge step-up from FE1, with interactive towns, having its own world map to show progression, and very smooth battle animations for an NES game. That said, it is hard to say that FE 2 is different on its own, as many parts of the game found its way to other FE games. I swear, multiple promotions (FE8 & FE10), more than 1 main lord (FE7 & FE10), world map (FE8 & FE13), and backtracking to previous maps (FE8, FE13, FE14, FE16), this game left quite the legacy! Also just realized the number of inspirations FE8 took from this game, fitting that Sacred Stone's arena music is taken from Gaiden
@@genokugel I came to enjoy FE7 more than I had in the past, but FE 2 (or I guess, 15 now) is still my favorite. Dare I say, the remake made it so amazing. I was moved to tears from the game's opening alone, hearing a segment of this song midway tickled my nostalgia hard..
Wow, Echoes stayed true to all these tunes with the orchestrated versions.

After the remake has been announced I simply cannot wait to here this track again.
So what is your opinion about the echoes version of this song ?

They knocked this out of the PARK with Twilight of the Gods!
So, how did you died from the eargasm

Listening to the remixed version from Echoes, this game had an awesome OST.

WOw....Isn't that the music that introduces a fierce adversaty?
Great job. DO you have more Fire Emblem Gaiden songs?
You also sometimes here this during the boss conversations.
This song is perfect for a final boss battle!
Bro this song is a gangbanger. I'm not even sure which game i like more; gaiden or echoes. They're both awesome and differently charming
BRO I DON'T THINK YOU KNOW WHAT THAT WORD MEANS 😭😭
Why is nearly attacking FE7? Damn I thought we all would actually love fire emblem games. No matter the time or place.
Not fates
Sean C damn it
I hope to see those soon if you can do it. I am interested in the player turn battle music, the enemy turn battle, and the "boss" one.

I agree with the following idea~ Sure FE 2 looks different. But it doesn't make it bad. No. It's one of the best, really~ |3

@@CLTurtle I am always happy when people find my ancient 13 year old comments...
@@Majo_Ellen Honestly, I was rather shocked to see such an old comment and it's user to still active lol
But doesn't it also play during the cutscene of the level before act 2?
Damn
The virgin Echoes consumers vs the Chad Chiptune Enjoyers
i mean gaiden players in general are still chads
kaga's spirit lives on in echoes
Both versions of the song are good tbh
Some people are so increasingly ignorant..
They shouldn't knock FE2 just cause it's different.
This game is LEAPS and BOUNDS over FE7!!!
Do you still think the same after twelve years?

Much better than the remake.

Honestly? They're equal in quality. That's how you know they made a kickass theme.
