Our 2005 Dodge Dakota has PO 700 code and PO 770 check engine light is on transmission starts out in third gear when and drive and also in four-wheel-drive high I noticed went in four-wheel-drive low it seems to be starting out in first gear I’m thinking it probably needs a new valve body but I also heard it could be the transmission control module
Nice vid, Would you happen to know where the Neutral Safety Switch is located? I read multiple different locations, including in the oil pan but I didn’t see it in this vid. I have a 2006 dodge Dakota 4.7 automatic any help is appreciated.
I have the same problem... but 450 is too much for me.. I'm just gonna replace the solenoid for 140 bucks. whish me luck, just bought this truck and dude deleted the codes prior to selling it. Now i'm stuck with this issue :s. by the way.. for Chryslers(dodge), the transmission code is p1776(what the obdii reads as PO700)... which is that solenoid stuck and with no movement.
Falcon's Garage how do i think it out of limp mode? I personally don't think it's a mechanical problem I think it's something with the computer or something
Hello, I'm from Russia, my name is Sergey. I don't know English, I have to write through a translator. Could you suggest, write in writing, why are you talking about what problem and how you solve it. The fact is that I have a Chrysler 300 from 2004. I changed the gearbox from another car, now it's from a 2010 car. The box went into emergency mode, error P1775, P0870 came out. Maybe you can tell me what to do, then change. Thank you
Hello, I checked on ebay, found the shift solenoid but without the valve body. Where did you get the shift solenoid with the valve body? I would really appreciate the info.
the p0700 code means there is a Transmission code stored inside the Transmission computer. If you cant see the code then you probably need a scanner that can read the tranny codes.
I was going up a huge pass on my way threw Bakersfield my gears jumped to 5th made a loud bang the check engine came on right away I can’t go past 55 I start skipping then I drove a lil ways to get it home An if I came to a stop it would die then I start back up it was a pain to get going I didn’t blow my motor but Idk what is wrong now same code p0700
My 2005 Dakota randomly quits pulling in overdrive and gets stuck in 2nd and 3rd gear. I have a P0700 01/04 and also C2521 02/04 codes. Could anyone help me identify what these codes mean . You would be helping me out tremendously. Thanks in advance.
@@FalconsGarage Two times in the last year. The accumulator plate screws sheared off at the overdrive and 3rd piston. I dropped the valve body and replaced the plate. Ever since the overdrive hasn't worked. The transmission shifts fine up to 3rd. I just switched off the overdrive on the gear selector.
sounds like you will probably will need a complete rebuild. A "slipping"sensation is 9/10 its the internal clutches slipping, the code is probably the valve body itself. if it was like a "hard shift" or a "limp" mode (starting in 2nd gear) I would say valve body!!. But from what your describing I would say "internal" issues.
Once you said "humming noise", I said that's it. Thanks very much for mentioning that.
Is the humming noise constant or at a certain time ?

About to do this job today. I only got the valve body solenoid, not the entire big silver valve body
Put the solenoid in. Didnt fix anything. The valve body itself looks chewed up it must be the culprit

sorry NOT sure and would hate to point you in the wrong direction
Dealer here in nc wanted $1100 for it! Found a trans part shop for $750... $450 seems like it feel off the truck price😂
I just put the valve body
In my 2005 dodge dakota now it don't
Start and shows to be
In 1st gear

Did it work
Do you know where the Torque Converter clutch solenoid is on the 42RLE? I have the P0740 code showing.
Unfortunately that could be a torque converter too. My 13 ram had that code and ended up being the converter
Just got a P0700 error on my 2000 Dodge Dakota, is this the speed sensor? If so, where is it?
I got a p0700 , p1776. Any help would be appreciated 🤟🏽
I've replaced 2 shift solenoid shift solenoid and valve body package and the truck still gets stunk in 4th? Do you think it can be my pcm?
do you get the same codes?
could it be in limp mode?
or it could be a mechanical problem.

aside from the transmission troubleshooting, and when all else fails, it could be your TCM(transmission control module) is bad.

+Sylvia Martinez i got it straight from the dealer. just call the parts department and give them the Vin of your vehicle and they can get it for you.

I have a 2005 dakota gotta do a solenoid pack too.
p0700 code was the only code I have

+Falcon's Garage low reverse solenoid circuit
if you got a solenoid code then yeah probably have to replace the valve body
@@FalconsGarage esto solucionó el problema de P0700?
Think ....they can’t make a decent transmission.....?
My valve body won't come out!! Something is holding it am I missing something?

maybe is in limp mode or something like that ... either way i would take it to get checked.
That pass is called the grape vine
MINE IS NOT GOING IN PARK FORWARD OR REVERSE AND IM GETTING THIS CODE AND A P0841
thats an oil pressure code.. could be low on fluid, dirty filter or dirty oil too

I also noticed a DTC Fault 02 , Pend 02 .
i would take it to the transmission shop .. assuming you have checked the obvious
Oye recomiendas comprar el shift solenoid sensor en amazon? Xq son baras alli por que en O'reilly & napa too expensive
No. Lo barato siempre sale caro
Thanks!
Helped me thanks bud
Is a transmission relearn necessary after installation of new parts?
not on this part only with modules and computers sometimes
@@FalconsGarage I'm getting 0733, 0734, 1790 tcm codes. Could this be the solenoid pack?
sounds like it .. also when was the last time the fluid was replaced or flushed?

where can i buy this part at
Dealer, just call them and give them the part number and what you need.
What’s the part number called or it’s number?
Will this fix a p0750 code? I have a 2005 Dodge Dakota.
+Michael LeRoy if I had to guess with out doing any test I would say yes. Thats one of the codes this one had as well
