I'm fighting Lyft for earnings from the 29th of January. Once I really started applying pressure, they deactivated me permanently.
When I first started doing Lyft and Uber, the first 2 months was great and I could see myself quitting my main job and do rideshare full time. Then the bonuses became inconsistent so I’m glad I kept my main job. I think the best thing drivers can do is meal prep and bring your healthy food from home. For me, I just find a 7-11 to microwave my food and give myself 15 min break. I also sometime take an hour break to go workout. Money is good but taking care of your health is more important

Upfront pricing was just a pay cut.
I had to stop ride sharing full time since 2017. It was affecting my mental and physical health. And the pay just wasn’t the same anymore.
I just drove today in Atlanta after 3 month break and was shocked to see $3.83 rides. It’s really getting bad.
Yeah they’re offering u $3.83 while charging the passenger $14 for the trip and Uber pockets $10 while u get $3.83 !!

They aren’t using a percentage as a benchmark for calculating their earnings, they just randomly take whatever they want depending on how much the trip is paying & by creating misc fees out of thin air that didn’t exist before to cover up their greed.
And don't forget one important thing, if a rider damage your car, like opening a door careless on the side of the road, Uber insurance will pay your damages with a $2,500 deductible. If you're lucky if this happens at the end of $7 ride you will loose only $2,493. Think twice before driving for Uber or Lyft.
My driver door is on child safety from the time a passenger swung door in a rush and the corner of my eye! No! Thank god driver was alert and no oncoming vehicles

He’s right about the pay I got paid for a $10 trip that was 16miles round-trip. I asked the customer how much did he pay for this? He said $19.95. I said wow I’m only getting paid $10 for this. The customer was very surprised he thought the whole amount was going to me of the 19.95. At the end of the trip he gave me a 19.95 tip. Feeling really blessed that trip.
I love people like that. They make me feel love for people in genwral. Reminding me good people still exist.
If you don't live near or in a major city don't do rideshare
Exception: If you live in CA go ahead and do ride share regardless of whether you are in a large city thanks to prop 22.
Correction: if you don’t live near or in a major city, university, or military base don’t do rideshare.
I make a lot of profit just making sure young soldiers or students get to and from their destination wether it be work or the bar on the weekends.
Out of every hour you spend online, you are "active" (making money) about 65% of the time while earning substandard pay. Any minimum wage job is a much better alternative and you won't be ruining your car and piling on negative equity.
The other one that you forgot to point out is all of a sudden out of nowhere we keep getting all these medical pick ups. We are not medically trained in case something was to happen to the patient and the fact that they are putting us in that position is disgusting. I immediately cancel and I think that there should be a button that says not medically train or something because they try to say that they don’t hold it against you if you don’t feel safe and you canceled but that’s a lie.
But if you’re not medically trained, you are not safe! No lie there!

I had a patient pickup from an e.r. And he was still high on meth, it was a terrible experience and I’m not the greatest at conflict management and being assertive. WOW.
Oh, if you cancel a ride a certain amount of times after accepting it, you’ll become the most hated person on earth if Uber or Lyft had their say. They definitely will “fire” you. Knowing you have to pick up a crazy and dangerous passenger is the most scariest ordeal one should not have to endure 😢😢😢.
One thing you should know is that some companies don’t except Uber as work history because it’s not W-2 work. When you try to do Uber full-time for a long period and trying to go back to the workforce.

I only do rideshare on weekends or during events otherwise I’m doing other apps. I’m not wasting my time! Lol
I drive in Las Vegas and have over 14k rides. Used to do it full time until they started the fixed price. If the ride is 3 miles or less then we get $3.97 a ride. Most rides on the strip is less than 3 miles and if it takes awhile to get to the passengers or stuck in traffic to their destination then we don't get more because the price is already set. A driver can take almost an hour from going to pick up the passenger to dropping them off and only get $3.97. Plus sometimes they give us a ride that is 10 miles away. I usually cancel those rides because my car gets 20 miles per gallon and we don't get paid if no one is in the car. Only when the passenger gets in and you start the ride. If we cancel too many rides then we get an alert that our account is at risk for deactivation and we have to not cancel the next 50 rides so it will go back to normal. I'm not gonna drive over 7 miles to pick someone up and not get paid for it. I only drive on the weekends cause that's when alot of people come in town and it's consistent. For people that's doing or thinking about being a rideshare driver my advice is to get an XL car with 3 passenger rows like a van or s.u.v. It's worth it. For a regular car you get 80 cents a mile. With an XL car you get double the amount. When I drive now I just accept XL rides and it's mostly over $10 a ride even for short rides. Some people order XL because they are in a hurry or see that an XL driver is the only one available in the area. If you drive a regular car then you get alot of $3 rides and it will take awhile to make what you want. Well, good luck with being a driver if you decide to become one!
I had one of those passengers today that put me in a foul mood the rest of the day. Some hot young thing who is used to manipulating men to get what she wants. And when she could tell I was pissed she had me waiting for her slow ass (10 minutes I waited), and that her lame apologies was going nowhere she turned into a sour sulking mess. Kept staring daggers at me through the rear view mirror. Usually I just hit no show and drive off if they go over the 5 minute wait time. But I fell for her “I’ll be right down” and “Coming now texts”. Don’t be a rideshare driver if you expect people to be waiting at the curb when you pull up. Soooo many people make you wait.
One thing missing is the economics of becoming a rider share driver itself. It seems making videos about ride share on TH-cam may make more sense (cents)!
When I was deactivated for "being a drunk driver" even tho I NEVER drink, they locked up my pay until they made a decision on whether to reactivate me or not. They dont do anything to determine if I was drunk or not, no test. It took 3 days for people in India to decide this all on their own. If I truly had been drinking, they would not have know this either. I havent drank alcohol in 10 years, dont miss it at all. The other drawback is walmart pickups where you have someone with 50 to 100 bags of groceries, and they are going a few blocks. They take forever to load them and unload them. Its also very hard to get help when you need it. The worse thing about Uber is their rating system. A rider can rate you low for any reason at all. Like, not allowing 7 people into my car. And Uber allows this abuse of their drivers.. it is so unfair! I counted 8 people getting into an Uberx the other night.. and thats why they try with me to do this
You have to report the rider first, don't care about them give them one star so you don't have to deal with them anymore.

I live in Las Vegas, so I have to plan my day carefully.
The best analogy to this City is, I picture it as a “+” sign, with the top being North Las Vegas and the right being East Las Vegas. Those are the two I avoid. Fortunately, street naming is conducive to this, meaning sticking to, for example, W Flamingo Ave and S Las Vegas Blvd. The latter of which, is where the rides are, right where the “|” and “-“ intersect.
Over saturation can be a problem, but only at times and specific places, like the LAS Airport or Conventions, so when the “ants” are all there, there are a lot of rides in the West and South, most of which are short waits (I stage when necessary) and good back and forth rides.
If I DO find myself in the East, I turn the app’ off and reposition to the Strip or DownTown, again at the intersection of the “+.” Or, go West. Fortunately, Las Vegas IS NOT Las Angeles. It’s small, in comparison and I can get out of there quickly.
Slop ass and cheating passengers occur, here, mainly in the East and the North, though there are exceptions.
You find tips on the Strip and at the Airport. Residents here don’t tip a lot; never in the East and rarely in the North.
As far as my health goes, I try and walk 3 miles/day and don’t eat shit food, and keep my drive time limited to 6-8hrs. I’ve seen burn-out from renting cars for $200-$300/week. Nah, ain’t gonna do that again!
I am a Driver, and I am disgusted with the way Lyft is paying their drivers. I am receiving 175 mile trips that are paying $120.00 , on the Lyft App the price is $323.99. So in other words Lyft is only paying the Driver Roughly 37% of the fare and Lyft is keeping 63% of the fare.
I live in Palm Beach Gardens, the same City where 74 year old Gary Levin ( a Lyft Driver who was Killed while driving for Lyft) . I would only accept this trip if it paid $325.00 to me the driver, Lyft is clearly ripping off their drivers!!! There are 3 things that I hate in this word, People who Violate Senior Citizens, People who Violate Children, and Rideshare Companies. All 3 are in the same Class.
I am seeing $35.00 dollars for 50 Mile trips, that should be paying a driver especially with current operating cost”s at least $75.00 to drive to Fort Lauderdale from Palm Beach Gardens and at least $120.00 to Miami Airport.. I only accept rides to and from PBI , so going forward, if they will have to be going to Northern Palm Beach County from PBI.
Also are Rideshare Companies doing Background Checks on Riders for Driver Safety? Many of these request that I receive pay less than the cost of of a Happy Meal at MacDonalds , and are in High Crime Areas. I Redline these areas due to the fact that these People never Tip, and should be on Public Transportation or a Bicycle. They should be screened and pass a background check in order to use Rideshare, their government ID should be shown on the Ride request, and it should be presented to the driver prior to entering the drivers personal vehicle to make sure it matches.
It is far more important that the driver is profitable than Lyft. I hope that the family of Gary Levin Sues the shit out of Lyft, due to the fact that there was no background check done for Matthew Scott Flores who was the Rider who requested the Lyft ride from Delray Beach, going to Okeechobee. The Spanish Boy had a criminal record, was a Murder Suspect , he Killed Mr Levin his body was discovered a week later in the woods close to his drop off. , stoled his Car, and they found Matthew Scott Flores in North Carolina driving Gary Levins Car.
Lyft charges roughly $120.00 for this trip so the driver makes roughly $45.00. Not worth doing if you do the Math, and the risk factor involved , in Gary Levins case it cost him his life. I can see where a driver would cut a side deal and do this under the table, even if that is the case, the fact that Matthew Scott Flores a known Criminal is able to request a Lyft.

Lots of fantastic points, I think every new driver starts out thinking they’re going to beat the system. You’re right it’s like betting against the house in Vegas. I might win a few hands here and there, but it’s hard to get ahead. Between high miles on your car, gas prices and time dealing with low paying fares for most markets it’s not long-term sustainable.
Always have an amount of goal each time you drive. If you do not reach that amount within the time frame you wanted to drive, that means you are losing money and your wasting your time and vehicle for ride share! For example, I drive part time and I make sure, I can make $150 or more driving for 8 hours. Usually I do reach that goal which is good for me! Anything more than $150 is very good for me which really happens each time I drive!
The money has dropped significantly in the last month. Rides under $10 no tips… ugh. I’m looking for a new side hustle.
Ditto on the problem with sitting. That’s why I enjoy deliveries…I get some exercise and almost always eat at home.

You would be hard pressed to find someone who hates Uber and lyft drivers more than I do. I've been an Uber driver for just about 6 years and you have literally described every reason I have for that hate.
I hear drivers all the time complain that customers need to have more respect for our time like not making us wait before they come out or taking too long at a stop. That sounds reasonable except when you consider you don't have respect for their time or situation! You talk so casually about canceling on a rider but what if they are just trying to get to work or are in dangerous situation but you can't be bothered to do your job? No one calls an Uber and says its totally fine if no one shows up.
Respect goes both ways people, you can't get it without giving it. But thanks to your laziness and unwilling short sighted attitudes, I'm taking all of the money you're leaving on the table. Because I pick up every person I get a request from and they have been canceled on 2-4 times, they are so grateful I actually picked them up, I'm always very generously tipped and always receive 5 stars. And by the way I am a 5 star driver, yes 5 even, not 4.99 and have been the entire 6 years I've been a driver. Because the Uber app knows I take all rides I get and the customers love me, I never go longer than 30 seconds without getting a ride if i even have to wait at all! Why is that? Because I actually do my job!! Uber and lyft know your bad habits and lack of customer satisfaction so you don't get rides! There aren't a lack of passengers, you just suck and the algorithm knows it! You won't get reservations because they only send those to reliable drivers and I will always get a ride before you because I do my job. News flash, cancelations and ratings have an affect on the quality and quantity of rides you will get!
You have 2 jobs, drive people and make sure your car doesn't smell like a foot. Over 70% of you can't do either. I'm regularly told how good my car smells, how nice I am and what a great driver I am. But they say it in a shocked way! Shocked that I would do the very bare minimum of my job?? That is how people view everyone of you, lazy, inconsiderate, late, bad drivers, can't be bothered to take a shower so the car wreaks of bo and to top it all off you jerks have the audacity to wonder why you are rated badly and not tipped?? Again you don't get something for nothing, welcome to life.
Everyone is always complaining about the riders, but what about you? What are you doing to make them act badly? Can't be bothered to say hello? Car smells bad? No music? Rude if they take longer than 30 seconds to get in after you've arrived? Guess what? Doing your job badly puts people in a bad mood!!! So weird right? Also don't make a thing a thing. No one cares about your opinions and you shouldn't care about theirs. DO YOUR JOB!!! Smile and nod and you have 5 stars and a tip. Easy. Don't fight or argue with them and they won't fight or argue with you.
I work in Denver, CO and accepting every ride I have maintained my 5 star status and working 45 hours a week I make about $1400. Thanks to Uber robbing us that's down from $1800 week because the only thing you were right about in this video is Uber changing our pay whenever they feel like it. But my point in telling you this is at least $200 if not more of that weekly pay is tips!!! Yes tips!! All because I am nice, actually do my job and show up when someone needs me and my car and myself are always clean and smell good.
Stop blaming the people paying our rent when you can't even be bothered to do your job. Stop complaining about people rating you badly when you don't even do the bare minimum of your job. Before you open your stupid mouth to say something ignorant, think to yourself, will this screw with my rating and my money? I genuinely hope you all get stuck in the middle of no where and get canceled on 5 times so you can see how it feels when someone doesn't respect your needs and how amazing it feels when someone actually does.
Ultimately, do your job and shut your mouth. Don't like what you're getting paid? Get a new job. Don't like accepting rides and driving people, which is actually the entire job??!! Get a new job. Don't know how to be personable or respectful? Get a new job. But do not complain because people respond badly to your poor attitude and unwillingness to do the bare minimum or your job. Respect people's time and they will respect yours. It's so simple! And this sums up why all of you not only suck so bad I'm disgusted to have to call you my co workers but why you have crap ratings and don't make any tips. So do your job idiots or shut the hell up.

I drive in NJ Hudson County, I always cancel each and every ride to NY. It's never worth it. Maybe early Saturday or Sunday when I can get in and out quickly I may consider, but 9 out of 10 times it's a cancel. F that, there fares are low, and you have dead miles on the way back...

Thoughts from a veteran driver...
#1) stand strong in your rules
#2) follow all federal and state laws
#3) rideshare guidelines are up to your discretion (example: I will not let an animal on my seats unless the owner provides a blanket or towel to put down first. I will request a cover and if rider will not provide, I cancel no argument.
#4) if the trip is not close to, equal to or greater than a $5 per 10 minutes of my time, I do not accept the trip. Yes that means I very rarely accept "short" trips unless my previous rides drop off point was a minute or 2 away.
#5) do not accept trips with multiple stops. If a stop is added mid trip, end trip at stop. You are now losing money if you accept the stops. No need to argue you're going to get a 1 star anyways. If riders leaves an "anchor" in your vehicle, drop it off at the police station at your convenience. Paying $32 to return an item to a rider and only getting reimbursed $20 from rideshare... you do the math.
#6) always be aware of your surroundings. Always park, picking up passengers where you can put the car in drive and go. Be aware of your riders behavior. Make eye contact in the rear view mirror if you feel uncomfortable or like somethings a little off about them.
#7) do not worry about "status", meaning do not take any of it personally. Some riders will always give you a bad review just because they are personally miserable or irresponsible. The biggest culprits of giving bad reviews and false allegations are the ones who are late and are looking for someone to share their misery with. The rewards are garbage anyways.
#8) enjoy the promotions while you can. Promotion amounts greatly decrease over a short time until your only seeing $20 for 50 rides or so. Do not count on them.
#9) do not expect a tip. Rideshare continues to jack up pricing and the riders are feeling over charged as it is. Most riders don't tip, except that from the start
#10) do not burn yourself out. Set a goal of what to you need to make, make a few bucks extra for a treat then turn the fucking app off. Working 80 hours a week provides you with no life, no time to unwind, no time to recover from the idiocy you've experienced today. Live your best life, not as a slave. Unless that's your thing. Just remember this... there has never been a single burial chamber or grave where the possessions of the dead occupant moved on to the next life with their owner.

At first I was so happy about upfront. Now I’m like ehh can u just pay us right Uber?
So I've been trying to research both Uber and Lyft analytics for my market in Jacksonville Florida. Needless to say, both companies are extremely tight-lipped and refuse to give you the information needed. I'm trying to use these numbers to assist with formulating a business plan for a LLC and partnering with Uber in Lyft in their Black car service. They don't want to tell you about the driver's saturation for each ride type, and they also don't want to tell you even an average number of requests or a expected number of requests
As far as your bad passengers, they're getting more and more frequent because some think that because you are giving them a ride you owe them something. They think that it's okay to eat and drink in your car and make a mess because they know that the platforms are not going to charge them a fee for cleanup because it's supposedly so minor. As far as the bar runs and the people puking, I've been very fortunate in being very picky when picking up passengers that are intoxicated. I just had one last week that puked in my car and then got mad because I said something to her about it. Fortunately this one I actually did get a cleaning fee, even though I don't feel that it was enough. And don't get me started on tips, because tips are almost a thing of the past in my market as well. I've spoken with other drivers on both platforms. A lot of drivers in my market are having similar issues unless they're getting either an airport or a train station run.
And as far as your time and distance model, I'm not sure about Lyft but Uber is claiming that the driver is getting paid for distance to the pickup from the location of acceptance, as well as time and distance once the passenger is in your car. The only way to take a look at the full breakdown (at least that they're willing to provide) is in the online version. The app version of the breakdown does not give you as much information.
I absolutely loved this video, Chris. I didn't think that, yes, this list was definitely something this channel needed, but I'm also simultaneously curious as to what took so long to come up with it. Or maybe in past videos it has been mentioned. Not sure. In any case, it was amazing. Great list. Having driven now since 2018, I'm now at a point I highly value the passenger rating in my consideration of picking you up (the lower ratings are low for a reason we soon see for ourselves) along with the amount of the fare and the destination. It may be a loss of a fare on a specific ride, but if it is putting me directly in a surge zone that's red hot, I'm thinking about the next fares I'm going to be evaluating. This has happened. That's when you then start seeing all these $20+ options popping up for very little time spent doing them. I have also taken a $30+ ride and it put me in a dead zone and I had to waste almost 30 mins getting back to my business. I didn't know it was putting me where it put me because I didn't recognize the streets. It's an art and it's not for everyone. There's a learning curve. I don't think I could do it were my lifestyle and my expenses not what they are, which are fortunately relatively on the lower side for the city of Los Angeles.

I drive part time. Although I need the extra cash, sometimes I feel like it's not worth it. $80 for 4 hours. Around $150 sometimes if I can catch the bonuses. And at the end of driving I'm tired. I don't drive at night because I don't see well when it's dark, especially if it's raining or snowing.

What market? Los Angeles/Santa Monica/Lax has no shortage of rides. Have a plan. Vet your passengers. Have audio/video surveillance at all times. Optimize the gameification. Improve each day. Its a mindset. I do very well
Bonus you get to know all the alcoholics in your surrounding community, take them to the liquor store, gas station for cigarettes and fastfood restaurants.
The cost of the wear and tear on your vechile often comes all at once, at the end. I cherry pick short hops on my days off sometimes. I would never advice anyone to attempt to do this full time. The pay is ridiculous on over 90% of orders

25 years ago I used to deliver flowers in the South Bronx and when your car breaks down you break down You're out of a job and out of a ride fortunately I was in New York City so I can hop on the subway the bus and actually that's where I was most happy. It sucks doing a job for somebody else using your own ride.

Destroyed 2 vehicles driving for rideshare. they destroyed our pay I only drive very rarely. I am not destroying a third vehicle for this industry. Basically boils down to it is not worth it.

After 20k + rides. I would do it part-time. Passengers at any moment can write a false complaint about you, and you're done.

2. Unaccompanied minors. Everyone knows you must be 18, or have a rider with you that's 18. Drivers pick up unaccompanied riders. When you do what is right that's when the pax may retaliate against you.

Main reason I stop is I don’t see profit level in rideshare .if you are a uber driver you will better off doing uber grocery delivery and uber eats because the profit margin better .

So I’m curious… I am new to this whole driving thing and I honestly feel like I’m making good money at it. I’m curious to know what other people are making as far as hours driven and what an average night is. Tips… Things like that. I guess knowing what part of the country you’re in matters also. And are you UberX, UberXL… What classification are you. Maybe I’m not doing as well as I think I am but I would just like to find out what others are doing. Do you mind sharing?
I’ll tell you why. That’s how the system works. When you’re new, they give you good rides, to give you the impression you can make good money. They also do it if you don’t drive for a few months, they’ll give you 2-3 weeks of good rides. Then slowly you make less and less money. I’ve been a Lyft driver since 2014. Every time I find a new job and don’t drive for a few months they give me all the great bonuses and stuff, to bring me back in. Once I drive for 2-3 weeks, all the good bonuses gone. And I’m in San Francisco.
Good Money. It all depends what good money is. Like you said the factors that can make poor to good driving. What city are you in and how much time per day in car. Uberx? Xl or other. Even time of day, if there's surges or not. Its all strategys. Not impossible to make ok money. I live in San Jose, ca. Its HORRIBLE here! After Covid. I have driven since 2014, given 23,000 rides. Presently I do maybe 2 rides a day. Before covid 10 to 20 per day. So a lot of factors going on and even how much you need to make. What area are you in?

@@creeksiderockmusic I live outside of Madison, Wi. I do have to say I make fabulous tips. I look at my overall earnings and include the tips. I guess it is hard to not include them since they are in fact part of the income, just not paid by Uber. Many of the rides piss me off. Suggesting that I chase a call 15 miles away that’s worth 5.25. Really??!! And then ding me for not taking it? Infuriating. I only received one great incentive of $100 after 10 rides but then it’s the typical quests of like $50 after 40 rides or something. I would say that in a typical shift (I usually work Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9p-3a, I make about $3-325.00. Including tips.
Your making good money because your new. Right now I work in a very busy area 5 colleges around I work 7 hours on a Friday and Sat to make maybe 300.00
I’d add the companies (Uber, purposefully put barriers to communication. When you don’t get paid appropriately, when the app is malfunctioning (or functioning “appropriately” as designed by Uber, or any variety of reasons, they make it such a lengthy and difficult process to effectively communicate that you end up just taking the loss. First, you have to deal with an automated machine that rarely has the option that you want, and need to pick, then you were guided through a series of irrelevant questions, and do not have the opportunity to directly talk to a person, and if you can, almost certainly, they will not speak English fluently enough to handle the problem, even after you explain it multiple times)
Tip- If you speak Spanish just press that option. You’ll get to speak to someone quickly and won’t have to go through the same automated system, and when you do speak to them, you can actually communicate. Keep in mind this certainly does not guarantee that your problem will be solved, it still probably won’t, at least your satisfaction or to any degree of legitimacy.
It is very dangerous in Baltimore to drive for rideshare there are many drivers that have been carjacked, robbed and murdered. Uber lifted the no passenger in the front seat, I refuse to allow anyone in my front seat, Uber needs to take driver safety into account and allow people’s spouses to drive around with them to keep them safe, we know that is not going to happen

I ubered for 3 years. Im so glad i left this "gig" Worse job pay in the world. Everything u "saved" goes to repairs on a car that gets destroyed in 3 years. Now I have a job since 2 years that pays way better and less stress financially.

I’ve only been foe lyft for 4 months now and 5 I’m already hipped to the bullshit and considering quitting
1. Lyft’s so called bonuses aren’t bonuses. If you are in let’s say a $4 bonus area and you pick up a ride and it tells you the pay is $20 it’s really $16 because they’ve already factored in the bonus when in actuality when you look at how long said ride is it should really be $24 that your getting paid but of course they rip you off and trick you into thinking your making extra money. They lower the cost of the ride more and give you a so called “bonus” when in fact if you had picked up that ride and there was no bonus the $24 would be cost that would’ve been giving you.
2. They steal your money with the miles you buy because they don’t roll over. You can go over 1 mile and they will charge you for extra miles now let’s say by the end of your day you still have 24 miles left( because they are charging you $18 for 25 miles there is no charge per miles because all miles are a bundle deal.) you will have paid $18 for going over 1 mile. And then the next day they’ll start you over with your original miles you brought for your payment plan. This happened to me this week and I’m pissed because I still had 22miles before 5am hit.
3. Even if you have enrolled and taken the course to be able to pick up people in their wheel chair, if the rider or hospital doesn't add that they are in a wheel chair and you accept the ride they won't pay you the money you're supposed be paid for that special ride this happened to me last week.
4. They say you have the right to choose which rides you want but that’s almost bullshit because after not accepting about 3 rides they will kick you off line, hell sometimes they will kick you off if you don’t accept the first ride that pops up when you go online, so that’s not the freedom to choose.
5. They are taking more than Half of the profit for the rides. When I first started it was 50% and then after a strike happened it was now drivers will get 70% and that’s a crock of bullshit they are not paying drivers 70% they are really taking the bulk of the pay majority of times.
2 ND stops don't pay. I put 100,000 miles a year.

Nj does not have upfront pricing. I only work part-time so I will not do any long rides to deadhead back paying all the tolls. Back a few years ago I almost quit my job to do Uber full-time. So glad I didn't make that mistake. Today I went out did 1 ride. Waited a while to get another ride request was 28 minutes away for 5 minutes ride, next was 32 minutes for a 2 minutes ride. I ignore both and turned off the app and went shopping. I don't care if my acceptance ratings go down I not working for free

I only do rideshare during extremely busy times in my area it’s 4 am to 6 am and 3pm to 5pm on weekdays using door dash and Uber eats as filler to reach my goals. If I’m desperate I’ll pick up a 9pm to 12 am shift but only as a last resort if I’m more than 15 dollars away from my daily goal or I have something going on that I’ll need to take a half day or whole day off. On weekends I only run Uber cause I live near a university by a bunch of bars that’s a garenteed 125 a day right there I’d be stupid to pass that up.

I live and Uber in suburbs of NY and Uber app does not show me drop off locations until I actually start driving customers to destination. I don’t like surprises! When will Uber start showing pick up and drop off locations upfront in the App in my area?
Great question. Unfortunately, it may be difficult to implement upfront details in your market because of the requirements for driving in NYC.
I remember what time I drop off a personal location I got paid $40 and the person said I've never picked him up and they got a refund .

Depending on your market, you might not have upfront earnings yet. Some markets still do not have it or may not get it

Overall Rideshare is profitable and some people have no other options to feed their family. I’ve met drivers and listen to their personal situation and most drivers do not do Rideshare to buy toys at Bestbuy. I would wager your channel following would increase faster if you provide the solutions upfront. Just my two cents, great channel keep it going.

Don't know what city you're in, but I'm in LA. There's tons of rides available if you are in the right areas at the right time. So you wouldn't need to take every ride to keep your status, there are plenty out there.

I live in San Francisco, once the best city for Lyft and Uber, and I get the $3.75 trash rides for 20 mins rides all the time!! It’s not worth it. You’ll feel used, cheated, you’ll feel like trash. Any other regular job is probably better. Again, do it only if that’s your only option.
