If you don’t find the list my best advice I can give is to think carefully about the sins you have committed. Make istigfar for as much as you remember and try to perform a good deed which will be 10X more the reward. Stay mentally strong and NEVER abandon the Salah. Salah is the support line and one of the BEST forms of receiving rewards. - Coming from someone with a very very dark past.
Even saying Ameen in the congregational Salah it is said: Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When the Imam says ameen, then say ameen as the angels say ameen. Whoever says ameen when the angels do, his *previous sins will be forgiven*.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6039 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Bukhari
I have always said, be very careful who you get your information from. Just because someone is more knowledgeable than you in religion does not mean you should believe everything they say to be written in stones. Always go back to the Quran and Sunnah and always try to get different opinions. I had known people that left the fold of Islam because of such “scholars” scaring them to the point they lost hope. What a pity. Alhamdoulilah we today have scholars like Yasir Qhadi, Omar Suleiman, Mufti Menk….doing their best to bring hope to many people that would have otherwise given up all together.
So many of the suicide bombers have lived lives of petty crime, alcohol, drugs, women but they wake up one day and think what have I done with my life and the only way to redemption is martyrdom. Maybe they are too weak to live a righteous life repenting lesser sins.
Suicide in itself is Haraam. Astagfirrullah imagine reliving that moment continuously until the day of Judgement. That’s the punishment people who commit suicide face.
@Afthab A Regarding the salah not being accepted for 40 days what that means is in the sense of reward. When one prays fardh salah, 2 things happens: 1. The person fulfills the duty or obligation. 2. The person is rewarded In the case where the person drinks alcohol, the person will lose reward for the 40 days. However, if a person does true repentance (intending not to go back to drinking again and feeling sorrow..etc). The 40 days will be waived, this is because true repentance wipes out the sins.
JazzakAllahu khayran shaykh, whats the ruling on sins like cheating/lies. For example:,,whoever deceives us is not one of us". Is this mayor or minor sin?
One other "khutba" where we benefit from the Shaykh's pertinent sense of nuance. Masha Allah ❤

I would appreciate that
I was thinking that too

Can you make a list of which are major or minor sins?
Sheik, I'm missing your library chat.

Allah. Allah.
Please give the list of major and minor sins

Sheikh a related question, when a Muslim drinks alcohol there prayer is not gonna be accepted for 40 days? Please explain
@Afthab A
Regarding the salah not being accepted for 40 days what that means is in the sense of reward.
When one prays fardh salah, 2 things happens:
1. The person fulfills the duty or obligation.
2. The person is rewarded
In the case where the person drinks alcohol, the person will lose reward for the 40 days.
I think it's a major sin
Ramadan is on its way what will you do ;please we need all your lectures which you stopped
MiAW would disagree.... 😁
And youre wrong the list is unlimited looong JAHANAMM for many Sins you dont know
Major sins are shirk frequent lying murder adultery minor sins are music swearing rudeness and laziness correct me if I'm wrong
Music is not even a sin. It’s not Haram . Also insisting on a minor sin can make the level a Major sin
What about adultery? Specifically a married spouse sleeping, texting, with others and watching porn?
Is it sagheera or Kabira?
Sleeping is definitely kabeerah. Others are more grey, but you should repent specifically all the same.
One of the most evil of Major sins 🔥
I disagree whalla a minor sin is a minor sin With arrogance and can never be worse than major sin
