I've had my V for a year and a half and I'm in love with it. I have the dual clutch. I'm in the process of modding it. It's a beast

Just bought the same car drove to Texas and back 39 mg average with auto dct. Love the car a non turbo a lot of fun to drive if I wanted speed would have bought the new mustang.
Where www your travel starting point and ending point? Any problems when driving the car long distances?
Regardless of the performance.. The style of Veloster is very cool. Can't deny it... Very cool car...So long as ones not interested in 0-60, none turbo is fine. Better gas mileage.
I was waiting for this type of video for a LONGGGG time.
Every other videos I've seen on TH-cam either show only the outside, or just the inside.
Yes, even driving videos too but they NEVER mention anything inside such as feature demonstrations. And plus they dont even have commentaries.
Your videos just hits on ALL the deficiens of prior YT videos.

I saw an ad of this car at the theater last night, i couldn't stop thinking how badass it looks for a Hyundai.

Most informative review I've come across yet. I feel like I know way more about this car now than I did before and I was in one today taking it for a test drive. So many fun features that make driving so much more entertaining. Thanks for the vid!

legit sold mine today and it's hilarious that this pops up in my algorithm because i never knew about the flick turn signal feature 🤣 i owned it for about 7 years

I just loved how civilized you were doing this review and comparing this Veloster to other makers like V dub..., IMHO the Koreans have made a very big step forward and we have to admit it.

I got the Boston red one brand new 2 months ago, and I have to say I absolutely love this car. The gas mileage just kills, and you get a lot bang out of your buck with this car.
I got a base model recently and I enjoyed every minute of driving this little baby :)
Love that u got a stick. Looks a pretty cool car. Hyundai has to be the car company of the last few years that has truely deserved all the credit. Good stuff.
This is my favorite car.
Triple-wishbone suspension, dual-clutch turbochargers, limited slip handles, projector taillights, completely loaded!

I enjoyed this video, and no it didnt go on too long.
It was nice to be the "virtual passenger" and get to hear that motor rev as your going through those hills. Got a real good feel for how it sounds.

No spare is one of the best decisions! I am very impressed with this design. Nice ride. Congratulations! I can't afford one, but this has the nicest rear end of any car in the last few years. I think this is a revolutionary step in car design. Sure, an extra 40 HP would really be fun, but mpg is more important these days. The interior materials is even better than some Audi's. This car is almost perfect, except they could have made the front end look stronger like the Audi's.
Just bought one fully loaded in triathalon grey. It's gonna be here tomorrow!!!! I'm excited to go back to a manual but kinda pissed that I had to trade in my 2000 Bonneville SSEI (it had a heads up display, supercharger, 23 mpg avg, literally THE best car I have ever owned and it would have stayed in my garage if it weren't for all the problems that were sure to occur around the 100k mark).
I have a 2014 Veloster and it has a backup cam. Makes it easier to back up since the hatch obscures your vision drastically.
Best car tour/review I've ever seen on youtube. Good quality video, organized... I wasn't a fan of Hyundai but now I am.
Thank you for the video. I've seen dozens of reviews about the Veloster, but yours I get the most information from. I have been unable to decide between the Veloster and the Honda CR-Z. But after watching your video I have pretty much made up my mind on the Veloster. It's also good to see a man my age driving the car as well. Great channel, I'll subscribe.

Thanks for posting this! I have been researching cars with the best MPG and just yesterday I ran across the Veloster online. I immediately fell in love with it's sleek design and features. I am not in the market to purchase until after tax time, however, I wanted to test drive one and see it in person today, decided not to since I am not purchasing until next year. By then, the 2013 SS turbo charged will be out! Thanks for taking me on the test drive I missed out on doing myself today! LUV IT
Hyundai Velostr is the car of my dreams, I Asmha in my books and I put forms the backdrop for Mobily and laptop as I hope this Aliarh when they see her in one of the streets and to see all the detailed is in my up costing the 165000 LE, and I work until I buy but my salary up to 1000 LE per month this one means that it is impossible Hahaha I get it one day
Oh, and 'gracenote' is the web service that's used for pulling up track listings and artwork when you put in a CD. It's the same service that a lot of computer software uses for looking that stuff up. Most likely setting it up in your car's stereo means your stereo can give you track listings when you put in any commercial CD.

nice car, i own a 2003 tiburon gt,92,000 mi, i bought it new & 9 yrs later & 92,000 miles in it never any issues, great cars this spring I'm byuing a Genesis Coupe, can't wait for that
its the clutch pedal, in an automatic it automatically shifts for you, in a manual like this you let off the gas and push in the third pedal or cluth all the way and shift the car, a manual can allow for better gas mileage which is why people will get one instead of an auto, plus it's just more fun:p
I drive a 12 Accent with the same motor and HP, TQ output, its a very good motor and does the job just fine. I have zero complaints about power and I have had V6 cars before. Its a good sounding engine too.

Dude!! you just reminded me how happy I was with my brand new Elantra GT 2001....after that my family has had accents, more elantras, sonatas and more recently an Elantra touring on Vivid blue...unfortunately I couldn't convince my wife to choose the manual transmision. Best value out there, you get the most for your buck...and let me tell you this was a great review!

I just bought a Veloster last week that is identical to yours. I really like the white with the red interior. Good review. I agree with your opinions. If you are looking for a stylish, economical, fun car to drive, the Veloster is a lot of bang for the buck.

Very good review -- very comprehensive -- excellent description of the infotainment center -- seems like both a fun and yet economic car -- it really seems to straddle both sides of the equation and also look nice to boot. A hidden third door is always useful. I even like the fact that you can change languages on the infotainment center -- things have really changed in cars in just a few years. You sure get a lot for the money.

1. When you fill up, were you able to compare the actual mileage (i.e., miles driven since last fill-up divided by number of gallons to fill-up) vs the mpg shown on the trip computer? How big is the difference?
2. Constructive criticism. A little concerned about your review of the infotainment features/options. While it is detailed and well-presented, the review was done while driving. Please discourage your viewers from driving with infotainment distractions.
And. I really love how she handles on the road!

These are nice cars. I'm not a big fan of the headlights, but the interior looks great and the rear end looks amazing. It's actually better looking on the inside that I would have expected. Maybe this car should only be two doors though and two seater? It would make it smaller, but that would be a good thing. That's why I prefer the CR-Z.
I think the gauge cluster looks futuristic in the CR-Z, where as this looks outdated already. The exterior looks look better to and the dash in the CR-Z in general looks better. But that's all subjective. Also the CR-Z is a fun HYBRID.
The CR-Z is also not seen everywhere like this car is. That's the other thing I didn't like about it.
But this is a good car I think. Looks cool.

Interior looks sick!
It's cool how similar this car is the the KIA Forte, same keyfob, same sun glass holder, almost the same sport pedals, the front seats are exactly the same besides the trim (SX has all black leather seats), your E-Brake is in the exact same spot, and eventhing around the stick shift is the same. Not trolling just stating some observations, cool car but I would of waited for the Turbo.
In those days also Hyundai was offering pretty good features.
Thanks for the video. There are a lot of haters out there. I personally like it. Cause its different and adventurous. Its not another boring car, I think it looks cool and different. Maybe not "pretty" but I don't think its supposed to. But regardless enjoy the ride.

Great video man! love it. Can't wait to see how the turbo goes. I know a lot harp on this car but I like it cause its different. Its not boring like some other cars in the segment. Looks like its selling well, good for Hyundai. Glad someone is taking some risks.

Thanks for sharing. This was my favorite car at this year's Arizona Auto Show. I just wish it was a little more faster. But the 40 mpg is a great trade off. The interior styling is awesome!

I had a lease on a 2014 Ford Focus, and I could have done a lease buy-back, but was worried about future repairs without warranty coverage. I just bought a 2017 Hyundai Veloster turbo with extended warranties and the payments are LESS than what I was paying in lease payments!!!

Gracenote accesses an online database to get track information for your CD tracks. Also the Focus has the feature where it auto detects your phone everytime you get in the car and insert the key. My Focus 2012 has surround sound also as well as when music is playing, the center speaker on the dash besides talking from Sync, also plays music.

I test drove this car with a manual transmission it did seem to be a little bit underpowered for me, I absolutely love the interior and the exterior and the way the car handled and field I'm considering test driving it again. I have a 99 Hyundai Tiburon 2.0 liter 5 speed trans, 153k it has plenty of power! fun to drive but time for a new car'"

Thats the way it is, and some people say wait 4 years before buying a new model. Eventually they will have the steering dialed in, too bad they wont dial it in on older models of the same car so people who bought the first edition dont have to live with shortcomings.

man I love ur car, I can't wait for the stigma of driving a Hyundai to go away, we know they are great car, but many ppl still snub at Hyundai for lack of understanding.
Also, I don't know how many rev's you took the car too when you did that little run, but since you only have 5** miles. It's your car and everything, just giving a friendly tip/advice, but I highly recommend you break in the car, before going over 4,000 revs. I'd wait until about 3k-5k miles, before going hard on the car. Motor wont last long if you don't break the car in.

Overall how did you like your Veloster? I drove a Turbo the other day and loved it but it wouldn't be in my budget unless I got a used non-turbo one.
This car was directed towards the younger generation. I love my Veloster and it definitely turns people's heads. Plus the fact that you get great gas mileage ha
